Yes, really.
Yes, really.
uncle tvrrizrum sounds fun.Ciaran Relatives - UpdatedSilas Cata - Grandfather
Nothing needs to be said about this old scoundrel.
Jisela Parsa - Grandmother (deceased)
A Miralukan woman and a rather usuall Miralukan. Was a instructor of the Luka Sene. Encountered Silas when she was traveling through the Core Regions and they quickly ended up being an odd couple. Died shortly after the birth of her son due to severe illness, leaving Silas very depressed and causing him to quickly leave after arranging for his son to be taken care off by someone else and leaving behind A LOT of credits for him.
Jasper Parsa - Father
Half-Miralukan and son of Silas. Lived quite comfortably due to the credits Silas left behind and became a Luka Sene Scholar. Only rarely encountered Silas and they never got along. Also quickly disliked his daughter Ciaran due to her taking after Silas very quickly and being very resistant to any attempt correct that. Oblivious to the fact that the great Lady Ciaran and his daughter are one of the same since she disappeared a long time ago.
Eevy Varn - Mother
Miraluka and wife of Jasper Parsa. Scholar of the Luka Sene. Quite similiar to her husband which includes the heavy dislike of Silas and the fact that Ciaran quickly took after him instead of either of her parents. Also oblivious to the fact that the Lady Ciaran and her daughter are one and the same since she disappeared a long time ago.
Asajj Ventress - "Sister"
Asajj had the 'misfortune' of receiving a genemod using Ciarans largely unmodified DNA. From a genetic standpoint they are now closely related which amuses Ciaran to no end as she now is an 'older sister' who can go and adore and tease her 'younger sister'. She always wanted a sister.
Larana Shayal - Cousin
Part-Human Twi'lek trader from the Outer Rim. Daughter of one of Silas other children. Relatively successfull trader (in part due to a lot of money her parents got from Silas) and a complete sweetheart. Has set up business on Taris with Ciarans help. Also accompanies Silas occasionaly.
Galvin Thorn - Cousin
Part-Human Zeltron. Son of one of Silas other children. Ruthless mercenary and thrillseeker. He too lived a comfortable live thanks to Silas, but the Zeltrons typical love for excitement went to his head... and he loves combat. Has joined Ciaran and occasionaly accompanies Silas. Also Cheriss Sairs boyfriend... since he somehow managed to have a SENTIENT FORCE-SENSITIVE CRYSTAL fall in love with him.
Chora Cata - Cousin
Part-Human Pantoran. Daugher of one of Silas other children. A highly skilled diplomat from Pantora... in public. The moment she is amongst friends she becomes flirty and carefree which proves that she is Silas granddaughter.
Tvrrizrum - "Uncle"
A Wookiee engineer Silas once rescued from Trandoshan slavers causing the former to swear a lifeoath. Silas... didn't like that as in his eyes following around an old scoundrel who keeps navigating himself into trouble wasn't that much safer. He consequently logic-bombed him by adopting him. Lifedebt to a relative doesn't make much sense since its expected that one goes out of his way to help out family, right? Tvrrizrum was stumped to say the least.
Frorrfa - "Cousin"
A Wookiee engineer and Tvrrizrums son. Galvin Thorn had the unfortunate luck of deciding to try to hit on a Wookiee when he was utterly drunk. Turned out that that Wookiee was male AND his 'cousin'. Galvin immideately went back to drinking himself to oblivion.
A lot of others.
((@Dr. Snark This your fault, you know? Even the Wookiees. You made a Omake fully canon where Galvin complained about having had hit on a MALE wookiee once... who also turned out to be his cousin.))
"wich species havnt you added to the family gramps?"Imagine the response of ANYONE in the Cata family once they hear about having Wookiees as (adopted) relatives.
Oh god. Dr. Snark has got ideas. We all know how THAT tends to turn out. "... Oh god, how much did I write." or "This takes longer than I expected."
...Yep. The eternal cycle of "let's do this cool thing" and then "OH GOD THIS COOL THING IS GETTING OUT OF HAND" then "wait, this means I can do another cool thing!" and so on...
"A shard."
"A shard."
"Well that th... no, wait. Almost forgot about him. Yeah I got nothing."
Now the big question is: Is there a Hutt in the family? Other than Uncle Borvo that is.Well, so far we have:
Humans, Miraluka, Twileks, Pantorans, Zeltron, Clawdites, Wookiees, a Dathomirian (Hehehehehehe~). In addition Galvins girlfriend is a Shard.
Or at least that are the known ones.
Unknown Rebel said:I've seen the nature of the Galaxy at its core... and there is no light there.
Emperor Vader said:There are some things you must understand about power. Important things. Power will hold you, it will consume you. You will never possess it, it will possess you. And the most important to understand is that in this Empire, power is mine and I do not intend to give it to you.
Empress Ciaran said:War has returned to the Galaxy, not the minor skirmishes with the Rebel Alliance, but Grand Battlefields that threaten to surpass the Clone Wars in ferocity. This will not be easy, our enemies are well trained, well equipped and will fight savagely, but when have we ever done things the easy way? We have been freed from the restrictions of the old Empire, no more political narrow-mindedness, no more scientific restrictions, no more irrational xenophobia. I trust in your skill, your devotion to duty and the technological might of our forces. The Galaxy is within our grasp, let us reach our and take it.
Eternal Emperor Palpatine said:The Jedi and the Republic were wrong for their egalitarian beliefs; equality is a lie, nothing in nature is equal, it is only the powerful who deserve to survive and thrive. The galaxy must be commanded with the Force, and by force. The current state of affairs is unacceptable, not just because it is disorderly, but because it allows the weak to survive and even thrive. The Empire has lost its way, becoming corrupted and weak. They must all be swept aside.
i loved that the rinegun is the symbol for ciaranThree Crowns of Twisted Starlight: Imperial Ciaran
It has been ten years since the Battle of Endor. Ten years since Darth Vader overthrew his master and seized the Imperial Throne. The Rebellion is no longer the threat it once represented, its fleet broken beyond repair, Mon Mothma a prisoner in the depths of the Imperial Palace and Luke Skywalker, once proud Jedi Knight, followed his father taking up the mantle of Darth Snoke.
But, now is not a time of peace.
Vader lacked the political skills of his predecessor and his own demands for perfection, efficiency and absolute loyalty to him did not translate to the rest of the Empire. A campaign to accomplish this resulted in mass executions and politically motivated arrests known as The Dark Terror. It didn't matter who you were, as Emperor Vader broadcast live over the Holonet from the former Senate Chamber, the personally delivered executions of high ranking figures such as Grand Moff Rufaan Tigellinus and Grand Vizier Sate Pestage. Meanwhile the Death Star II toured the Galaxy as a reminder not to rise up or be ground into dust like the Rebellion.
Within three years the situation had reached a boiling point in the Imperial leadership. The Council of Moffs launched a military coup that saw the worst fighting on Coruscant since the Clone Wars. Vader won the day, but as the remains of the Death Star II rained down over Tatooine, it was clear that it was merely the beginning.
So began the War of Galactic Succession.
Six years on and the war has consolidated down into three factions, the Loyalists under Vader uphold the power of the rightful Emperor, the Abyssals under former Moff Ciaran seek to bring much needed reform and the Eternalists proclaim their loyalty to the one true ruler, the Emperor Eternal. Each has a different vision for the Galaxy and neither side are gong to be sitting down for peace anytime soon.
However, somewhere out there, hiding in the chaos, Leia Organa with the aid of the Force Ghosts of the Past, trains the Jedi of the Future for the day when the Rebellion can rise again. As a Phoenix from the ashes.
Galactic Empire
Also Known As: The Dark Empire, Loyalist Imperials
Leader: Emperor Vader
Capital: Coruscant
Government: Absolute Monarchy
Prominent Military Leaders: Crown Prince Snoke, Admiral Firmus Piett, General Maximilian Veers, Admiral Blitzer Harrsk
Force Organisations: Imperial Fists
Overview: It is said that Vader will not command his subjects to do anything he is not prepared to do himself. Unfortunately, Darth Vader is a Sith Lord and his subjects are not. With little experience or passion of anything political, the Loyalists have become a Military with an Empire and thus anything outside of those matters has generally gone downhill. While controlling the Core region, quality of life has taken a notable decline, with beggars on the streets of many former prosperous world (those that avoid the recruiters).
Civil Administration finds itself holding on by Mas Ameeda's sheer will and low-level corruption is rife (anything above that tends to get Vader's notice and that doesn't end well). Director Ysanne Isard's Imperial Intelligence has a lot of wide sweeping powers as its agents have become symbols of terror and oppression, empowered by Emperor Vader to arrest almost anyone on the weakest of charges. The hope was that this would motivate the populace, the result has been overcrowding prisons that are solved by either re-education centres or penal battalions.
While their military may lack the brilliance of the Abyssals or the fanaticism of the Eternalists, a conscription lottery gives them numbers motivated by fear of either their superiors or the consequences of betrayal. The Great Industry of the Core supports a war on two fronts with colossal amounts of weapons, materials and ships, but the technology has stagnated from a lack of researchers and creative thinking. The Imperial Fists, Dark Acolytes who serve Vader and Snoke, act as the shield against their counterparts. Though not as powerful as the New Sith or as skilled as the Agents they are the most numerous of the three.
Vader fights against the tide, not because he wants to rule the Empire (he recognises that one day his son will kill him and take his place), but because the throne is his by right of combat and he il not left it go without a fight.
Galactic Empire
Also Known As: The Purple Empire, Abyssal Imperials
Leader: Empress Ciaran
Capital: Taris (Official), Lordran (De Facto)
Government: Authoritarian Constitutional Monarchy
Prominent Military Leaders: Grand Admiral Thrawn, Grand Admiral Rae Sloane, Commander Iden Versio, Admiral Gilliad Paellon
Force Organisations: The Inquisition
Overview: There was always rumours about Moff Ciaran, that she was a Crime Lord, that she was hiding former Separatist Scientists on her worlds or even that she Palpatine's illegitimate daughter. Many dismissed these, pointing to her hedonistic lifestyle that she didn't have the brains to present a threat to the Empire. Not even as her fraternal order began to gather influential members of Imperial Society, most considered them to simply be another drinking club.
So no one noticed when the Abyss Watchers started creating their own intelligence agency and no knew that the Core Five that made up Rogue One weren't as dead as some might think, nor were they working for the Rebellion. While the years past and the throne changed hands, no one knew that their were Imperials who believed that radical change was needed... not until the Second Death Star rained down over Tatooine and armies of Droids of unknown make and model seized much of the Galactic North. Ciaran saw herself as the only one capable of bringing much needed reforms to the Empire and using those rumours to her advantage she claimed to be the Hereditary Successor to Palpatine.
Ciaran leaves much of the day to day ruling to President Ardus Kaine, though the revived Imperial Senate only possess as much power as their Empress allows them. Efficiency is the spirit of the Empire, with automation and meritocracy as the words of the day. Of course there are those who harbour thoughts of dissent, but they are quickly and silently snuffed out. Her eyes are everywhere as her Watchers report to her inner circle and her Inquisition presents a new kind of Force User. The populace is bombarded with well choreographed and tailored propaganda and the illusion of civil and political liberties has made them voluntarily supportive of their new government.
The armed forces posses some of the most talented commanders, who make up for a lack of numbers with strategy, tactics, droids and the elite cybernetic Death Troopers. The lack of limitations on scientific research has made them the best equipped in the Galaxy, with starfighters and ships well ahead in quality if not quantity.
Is Ciaran selfish? Yes. Greedy? You bet. Hedonistic? Well one has to enjoy life. And if her selfish greedy ways just happen to coincide with bringing about a better life for the subjects... well that is purely coincidental.
Then again as Darth Traya says, nothing is purely coincidental.
Galactic Empire
Also Known As: The Crimson Empire, Eternal Imperials
Leader: Eternal Emperor Palpatine
Capital: Naboo
Government: Dark Side Magocracy
Prominent Military Leaders: Consul Gallius Rax, General Hux, X1, Grand Admiral Natasi Daala
Force Organisations: New Sith Order
Overview: Once referred to as a 'Death Cult', those who worship the Eternal Emperor have been validated by his return. Of course whether it is just a Clone, an imposter or the spirit of the Emperor possessing a Clone is up for much debate in other parts of the Empire. It doesn't matter to the fanatics as the zealous atmosphere converts even the most cynical of opportunists who joined with Gallius Rax merely to oppose the traitor Vader and/or the criminal Ciaran.
The Kaminoans do not care for the mad theocracy that rules the Southern Galaxy, but they are willing to pay handsomely for Clones, either for their army or the New Sith. Of course none of them realise that their technology was stolen for additional secret Cloning Facilities, but the Eternal Emperor recognises their expertise might be needed should problems arise.
Their Forces charge into the meat grinder, Clones and Zealots fight a brutal unforgiving war where the rules of conflict have been shredded. They might not be well trained, but superweapons galore, technological terrors and the power of the Dark Side on full display drive them ever onwards... along with a bit of mind control. The New Sith might be fighting each other, but the Eternal Emperor is unconcerned, able to see off any challenge and return if struck down.
The Emperor seeks to bring his vision of the final triumph of the Dark Side. It does not matter that the cost is high, for it is acceptable. To burn away all weakness is the true way of the Sith and Sidious will let the Galaxy alight with the cinders of conflict, there will be none left to challenge his rule once he is done.

regartless this is so Ciaran, it can't be more appropriate.I do not know what you are talking of... I'm assuming it's anime so most likely I've never seen it. Honestly I just found the symbol and thought it would look cool as Ciaran's Empire symbol.
Most worrying is your implication that Palps is still alive. Around that time he has to be dead, so kill him ("do it")

FYI Naruto, eye power, Rinnegan, Sasuke.

Errr... in the EU Palpatine actually ressurected himself. SEVERAL TIMES. By cloning himself and then possessing the clones.
Your QM has just seen The Last Jedi! I will not be a jerk and spoil anything, but I can safely confirm that it is a great movie, and definitely deserves all of the high review scores.
...
That is all aside from a general PSA of DEAR GOD GO SEE IT RIGHT NOW
Dude. Spoiler that stuff.Luke Skywalker, once proud Jedi Knight, followed his father taking up the mantle of Darth Snoke.
Just saw it too, and I have to agree.Just got back from seeing it myself, and... this. So much.
Unfortunately I did not manage to avoid spoilers, so I knew some/many of the key story beats going in. It did not diminish my enjoyment of the film, and frankly I found it helped me get over some of the <spoilers> that might have lessened my appreciation of the film.
I think that Rian Johnson enjoys subverting expectations a little too much -- there are one or two 'twists' I hope the third film addresses -- and there is one moment of sheer errant nonsense as far as Star Wars 'sci-fi physics' is concerned. Apart from that, everything fit together, and beautifully at that. I am most surprised that more fans haven't noticed the obvious parallels to Empire Strikes Back in the narrative (not just the tone). This is what The Force Awakens should have been: a love letter to its original trilogy predecessor, without the rigid mimicry that made it a clone of the original.
Within the Star Wars film canon, my personal list of favorites would probably go:
1) Empire Strikes Back
2) A New Hope
3) The Last Jedi
4) Return of the Jedi
5) Revenge of the Sith
6) The Force Awakens
7) Rogue One
8) Phantom Menace
9) Attack of the Clones
I'm honestly tempted to rank it above A New Hope, but having only seen it once, I figured it'd be better to wait till I can rewatch it before bumping it up. Either way, I consider it the best Star Wars films since the original trilogy.
Dude. Spoiler that stuff.
... j/k
Yeah, pretty much have. Between Christmas shopping, catching up on several weeks worth of grading, and all the other holiday plans... I basically decided to set Gray Paladin aside for a week or two so I could deal with the other sources of stress. Still working on that, but I see the 'light at the end of the tunnel' at least. Thanks for your encouragement & contributions to keep my quest alive.EDIT: Good to see you, @Publicola . I was afraid you'd vanished off the edge of the earth.
