It's a weird type of quest you, as the playerbase, try to roll to make the QM salty or tear up a bit inside. That is if I remember it correctly. And the player rolls a DX roll where the X is the number of characters that can cause mayhem and a D100 to see how successful they are at doing it. The options are unlimited. All for salt.

.....And our good QM here rolled 90 in order to get a Sith Lord reference Servant in FGO into the list of 'mayhem inducing characters'.

I'm still working on my omake, but I'm getting there... please accept this gift of a Yoda Impersonation while I finish:

Right, since it's been some time since the last vote and there's a solid lead I'm calling the vote. I'm not going to lie, I was expecting a much closer race than what came out.
Adhoc vote count started by Dr. Snark on Dec 14, 2017 at 7:12 PM, finished with 100 posts and 35 votes.

I suppose this is one of those cases where we wanted the emotion and insight stuff more, considering her knowledge and direction would be unique. I wonder what the A Team is doing now?

Fun thought: We know Anakin. We know Thrawn. Both were known for the tactical hyperspace jump as a means of moving ships past an enemy blockade or having them appear suddenly upon the enemy without warning.

We should have them talk space combat tactics.

hell yes
not many people get this but ani is a tactical fucking genius when it comes to warfare, his character was MADE to be the heroic general saving the day.

Isn't he more of "the best fighter-pilot in the galaxy" kind of deal? So he's a savant at dogfighting and squad tactics, but what feat of commanding soldiers does he have?

yeah, he was a general for a reason (besides being a jedi)
also he is a general here, you dont become one of those unless you can do a generals job.

Didn't he lead the 501st which later became Vader's Fist?
I know, but i just never saw him as general material in the sense that he mostly seemed hands-off as a military officer, was almost always in the front lines or leading a daring raid or a stealth mission and leaving his trusted commanders like Rex to do most of the tactics; so he'd be more comparable to Grievous rather than Thrawn. In my own opinion at least. That's why I wanted some concrete examples of him acting as a general with tactical genius.

Reckless and unorthodox, but generally not prepared to risk the lives of his command unless he's also risking his own. Identifies talented subordinates and delegates well. Has a brutally adept fighter under his command and uses him well. Maybe not a Thrawn-caliber tactical genius (who is?), but absolutely effective.

To relate it back to something at least some folk here will know, he's Bo Jackson In Tecmo Bowl. If you have that kind of individual on your team, you have them handle the biggest craziest things. There's a certain degree of tactical brilliance in acknowledging a massive disparity in combat ability and exploiting it repeatedly for maximum leverage.

*Good News Everyone*

Your QM has just seen The Last Jedi! I will not be a jerk and spoil anything, but I can safely confirm that it is a great movie, and definitely deserves all of the high review scores.

Even better in quest terms, it's helped give me ideas for both the immediate and far future. But anyway. That is all aside from a general PSA of DEAR GOD GO SEE IT RIGHT NOW

It is also extremely similar to the matching original trilogy movie?

My brother's spoiler-free review goes as follows:
my brother said:
Thoroughly unpredictable. A number of things that have never been done in Star Wars before. Some aspects resemble The Empire Strikes Back, but not that many. It's very much its own thing. My only problem with it at the moment is that the ending leaves a lot of uncertainty and I'll have to wait two years to get all of my questions answered.

Sweet! Going this weekend so hearing those views on the movie is great. Also inspiration is always good ( rogue one is also on Netflix unless it is off now)

Oh god. Dr. Snark has got ideas. We all know how THAT tends to turn out. In before: "... Oh god, how much did I write." or "This takes longer than I expected." :V
Well, you know, "good, fast, cheap; pick two". The quest is free, the quest is very good (thanks to you for starting it and Dr Snark for continuing it), so delays are accepted as a natural cost of the superlative quality of writing.

Barondoctor's brother is very right with every point.

I will however say that there's a lot of aspects of the movie that make me consider it to be something of a spiritual successor to Knights of the Old Republic, especially the second game. Not in the sense of "EVERYONE IS WRONG" but in much subtler and interesting ways.

...Yep. The eternal cycle of "let's do this cool thing" and then "OH GOD THIS COOL THING IS GETTING OUT OF HAND" then "wait, this means I can do another cool thing!" and so on...

I know. And I hope that you know that I know that you hopefuly know that I'm joking. I'm serious when I say that I check the thread several times daily for Omakes and new arc/turn updates. Snark does an awesome job.

Going to see it next week. I'd go earlier, but my parents wants to see it after the crowded nature in the local cinema is gone... and they'll pay for the tickets.

I mean, anything in the vein of KOTOR is definitely something I want to see.
