Advisor Quotes (Canon)
So because I don't know how many more omakes we need to clean sweep again, I made another one:

Advisor Quotes

"These are the rules. Everybody fights, nobody quits. Fail at either of these and I'll kill you myself. Welcome to the Abyss Watchers."
Xruk at the Orientation Ceremony of the New Recruits

"Commander, I have reports of General Grievous and his men fraternising with the Gungans. Request permission to question interrogate the Kaleesh to extract information on the locations of Gungan settlements and troop dispositions. I have already drawn up a plan to deal with the highest ranked threat; Representative Binks."
OOM-9 conspiring to eliminate his mortal enemy and erase the humiliation of the Battle of the Great Grass Plains

"I admit I am not the most capable of combat individuals. Many have argued that my position as a bodyguard is both illogical and defunct with Lady Ciaran's combat abilities. Well, I'll have you know that since I am licensed to tend bar, I possess the most useful way to subtly eliminate threats without the target knowing. After all, how many of you know what should go into your drinks? Or better yet, how many of you watches the person who mixes your drinks?"
PR-1 on the Art of Subtle Protection

"The Clone Wars have granted us the greatest opportunity. As men in power focus their gaze on the battlefield, the corruption of the Underworld spreads. After all there are more important things than criminals to deal with. Soon it won't matter who wins, we'll own the system itself."
Borvo The Hutt to his subordinates

"I joined this organisation when it was little more than any two-bit street gang. My work on Naboo helped lift us out of the Underworld and on to the Galactic Stage. I am well within my rights to ask for a large medal, a opera play to glorify my exploits or my face carved into one of Kiln's mountains. However, I'll settle for my large number salary, an amusing clock that annoys my neighbours and platinum membership for a high class escort service."
Gulan Terrek's musings on his role in the Abyss Watchers

"I am an old man. No matter how I spin it, I doubt I'll live to see the end result of what arises from the fire. Still I now have a legacy to leave behind. You lot are the product of several training regimens bastardised into each other to create the Abyss Agents. Your very presence is going to make several Jedi faint from the disrespect to their teachings. So if they ever do find out, however unlikely, remember to rub it in their faces like the bastards you are."
Tyro Torwin drunkenly lecturing his students

"Palpatine may be a master manipulator and a very cunning schemer, but he has made a critical error. Palpatine could have installed any old puppet to sit in the Supreme Chancellor's Office, but he put himself there. You may question the wisdom of those words, so listen closely. Had Darth Plagueis not sent you those datachips you would not know he existed."

"Palpatine didn't need to become Chancellor to carry out his plans, in fact being Chancellor created all kind of risk, but he wanted to sit in the big chair instead of ruling from the shadows. As such he has painted a giant target on himself. His movements are public, monitored and tracked. His words must be carefully chosen to sway the minds of others and above all else his facade must hold."

"Should the worse happen and your double life become public, you can slink into the shadows to become the leader of the second most powerful criminal organisation in the Galaxy. Palpatine on the other hand, he might have all the power in the galaxy, but he can loose it all in the blink of an eye and then he's just a man with the clothes on his back and a large bounty on his head."
Darth Vectivus on the Great Mistake

"People think science is a question of why. They are wrong, the real question of science is why not. That line of thinking got me thrown out of many a university when I used to teach. I am currently barred from giving lectures to many scientific academia and I was once called a monster by someone who I didn't think had any morality left in their body. Point is I'm not just 'The Explosions Guy', I'm far more dangerous than you realise. Lady Ciaran has morals, she has lines she will not cross. However, I am not bound by such trivial things like ethics... so hurt my lab assistant again and you'll wish it was a rancor administering the punishment."
Professor Var Zheen terrifying a member of C-SEC after trying to arrest ZK-711 for Espionage

It's only been ten pages or so, but sure, have another omake count!
Over the last twenty-ish pages, we've added another 14 omakes to the list, for a new total of 38 omake bonuses.

Remember that, thanks to our extra Actions we added last turn, we need 42 bonuses to reach the full cap for this turn.
Over the last 13 pages, we've added five omakes to the list, which means we've reached the full cap for next turn, and have added 1 omake bonus to the bank for the following turn!

@Dr. Snark, I'm assuming you'll want to post the base purchases & upgrades ("Turn 26 Results, Pt. 2") before you do the CNS rolls. Let me know when, and I'll update and repost the list of potential systems/sectors for the CNS to recruit.

These are all great in their own ways. Canon, +10.

Oooooooffff course you guys did :V

Though I'm getting the vibe that that's probably going to be the last time that happens...I think. (Does it count as tempting fate if you like either outcome?)

Y'know what why don't you just throw up the list now. No reason why not.

@Dr. Snark, a few quick questions before I post the final list.
Reward: Holdout Northern Rim systems join CNS, war in Northern Rim effectively over due to no planets in the region wanting to prosecute the war.
How are you defining 'Holdout Northern Rim systems"? Going by the last map:
Map: Abyss Watcher Assets & CNS Space
1) I'm assuming this reward includes the systems/sectors located in the 'doughnut hole' area in the middle of CNS space -- including Borgo Prime, Agamar, Generis, and JanFathal. Do you want to roll for any of them individually, or would they all be 'guaranteed successes'?

2) Does the reward include the sectors located to the 'far north' of CNS Space -- that big hyperlane that passes through Sernpidal?

3) Does the reward include the sectors slightly to the east of those, the 'empty' space where Maltha Obex is highlighted?

4) Did the same action cover the non-CNS sectors along the Hydian Way, such as Toprawa or Tiss'sharl? As above: roll for any of these individually, or are they guaranteed successes?

5) Does the reward generate any 'peer pressure' on other systems and sectors that aren't 'Northern Rim' but are neighbors? For instance, the space around Felucia (a Separatist stronghold) is technically part of the Northern Outer Rim, though it certainly wouldn't fall under the same reward. However, it does border CNS Space, and there are a number of systems that might be swayed to join the Neutral side after we persuaded so many of their neighbors. The same is true for a number of sectors in the Northern Mid Rim. Do you want me to highlight these when I post the list, or are their recruitment odds the same as before?

Separately, were there any effects from the revelation that Saboath Squadron had targeted the CNS systems in the galactic south? The fact that we were targeted might drive down recruitment in the area; the fact that we beat them so decisively might drive recruitment up.

1. Guaranteed.
2/3 No.
4. Hmm...I'd say that Shi'kar is a guarantee, but aside from that the planets in question are in too close proximity to Serenno or too isolated to matter in the case of Tiss'sharl.
5. Same as before due to the Neutrality Acts.

As for Saboath, again the Neutrality Acts dampen any successes down there.

(Omake) Consequences... (Canon)
Consequences

I had rolled the mumuu off of me and gotten to my hands and knees when the coughing started.

A fine red mist stained the snow and I realized I had a problem. I tried to take a deep breath, felt something jerk in my chest. My elbows buckled and my eyes watered, my head curling in as my forearms held me up off the snowy ground.

I took a slower, shallower breath. Less painful. Another wracking cough, another spray of blood. Something solid clicked against my teeth, and I spat it into my hand, looking at it.

My eyes widened as I stared at a bloodstained, fingertip-sized chunk of bone. It was around then that the Kaleesh reached me.

"I'd ask for a medic but I'm pretty sure I've got the squad's medic right here," I said sanguinely.

I heard Ronny's voice. "What do we do?"

I set my equipment pack down, rolled onto my back so my head was resting on the pack, took a slow and shallow breath. "Can breathe right now. Probably..." I took another slow breath. "Collapsed lung. Mumuu ran me over, broke my ribs." I coughed, spat more blood onto the snow. "I think one of them punctured the lung and I'm bleeding into my chest cavity."

Ronny put a hand on my shoulder. "This isn't your final exam, Rip. Give us—give me something I can do so I'm not stuck here watching you slip through my fingers."

I pointed to the equipment pack. "There's a laser scalpel in there. Finger length lightsaber. Find that and a chest tube—transpariplast tube in a little package." I turned and coughed out another glob of dark red blood, the contrast with the snow violating some sort of aesthetic sense I realized was probably the body's natural painkillers in action. "Get me in a tent and wrap my legs in blankets. I don't care whose tent, I'll clean it out or buy you a new one if I live through this. When I live through this." I coughed more blood and another little shard of rib.

I felt more than saw myself getting picked up and pulled into a tent, saw some of the trays I'd used for catching body fluids in the past come out and get parked in front of me for me to cough into. I saw Ronny wave the laser scalpel and chest tube in front of my face. "Yes. Now, get my shirt off. Douse the left side of my torso in disinfectant. Bottle's in the pack."

Ronny stared at me once. "If you weren't coughing up blood I'd say you were coming on to me."

As if on cue, I coughed once and spat out another shot glass worth of blood. "I'm kinda gross right now, yeah." I closed my eyes, tried to draw on that internal fire, couldn't quite concentrate. "Count ribs from the top. Between six and seven, cut a little hole for the chest tube and stick it in there. Should drain a bunch of dark red blood."

Ronny shook her head. "You and your bleeding everywhere," she sighed with a grin on her face, tapping each rib. "Aren't you usually supposed to do anesthesia or something?"

I shook my head. "Need to be awake enough to guide you through it. Long as it doesn't shut me down, pain's amazing at keeping someone awake." I felt the laser scalpel searing through my flesh then. I couldn't help it. I screamed. As I screamed, I felt something jam into my lung and then I could finally breathe like I hadn't had half my chest crushed in an industrial accident. "Oh gods that's good."

"Isn't that supposed to be the other way around?" Ronny asked, head tilted and an amused cast to her features.

"Okay. With this in place…grab the tape and tape the tube in there. That'll hold me until I get back to the ship where I can revise it. I assume the others are processing my kill?"

Ronny took a breath. "Yeah. You'll have your mask by the time we get back, Riphath." I realized that was the first time she'd used my proper name, and I liked the way it sounded out of her mouth.

I got up. Tested my breathing, tested the tube. It would hold. It hurt. The whole site hurt. But it would hold, and it was sterile, and everything else was cold. So cold. Right. "Tricky to get anything on over this while it does its job. Ah well."

So I focused, drew together my inner fire, sustained myself with it. Strengthened myself with it. Gathered it, fed it, shaped it to support me and then used it to help me reshape myself.

It probably helped that I'd been to medical school and I knew how everything was supposed to be put together, that I knew how it all worked.

Or maybe, just maybe, I'd finally been able to call upon the Force on purpose to help put myself back together.

A/N: Decided to save Grievous' reaction for a separate omake. Sometimes things like limits and consequences are important too.

Reward: Holdout Northern Rim systems join CNS, war in Northern Rim effectively over due to no planets in the region wanting to prosecute the war.
Per Dr. Snark above, this guarantees the 'doughnut hole' in CNS Space -- esp. Borgo Prime, Agamar, Generis, and JanFathal -- and a bit of the Hydian Way (including Carosi and Lur) but nothing more.

I've highlighted remaining systems with ties to the IGBC, given how thoroughly we've integrated them into CNS economy. There are plenty of systems here that have strong ties to our medical side (Arkania, Karada), or our political side (anti-Palpatine, anti-slavery, anti-piracy), or our criminal side (smugglers, mercenaries, nerfherders), but highlighting each and every one of those would basically leave nothing on the list un-highlighted, so those are kept as-is. As before, I've kept the list fairly 'granular', so each roll corresponds to a system or small sector.

I want it on record that only the first two planets on this list were freebies. The rest joined with high 80s and 90s rolls.

OK, Council of Neutral Systems is suffering from too many good things! Soon (in-universe) there will be a sayings for things going TOO well and one of them will be "X are going CNS"

So what we do with Becta world greed-ies?
•Denying them entry will cause others to question CNS,
•Accepting and implementing restrictions will cause the Republic to turn hostile,
•Accepting and trading will cause the Separatists to go bonkers,
•Acepting and playing mediator/innocent/whatever will be enough for Palpy to orchestrate CIS+Republic attack-invasion on CNS

So, forgot anything?

Besides the first two, only 17 systems/sectors joined out of a list of 108. That's 15.7%, which is pretty reasonable given that the average chance of success was ~15% (per your post above, anything in the high 80s would count).

I am really excited about gaining Cularin, though the other goodies you highlight (Yag'Dhul, Zeltros, Caamas) are pretty sweet as well. We also gained Byblos -- a major ecumenopolis in the southern Colonies known for high-tech manufacturing and for the local 2-million-man university.

jesus just how big are we? i cant wait till palps forces a war with us, cause it has to happen sooner or later.

From what I recall earlier, we technically control more territory than the other two factions even before these planets joined. We are not as developed as the Republic or Separatists, but we have the potential to create a new Superpower if we uplift several planets. Especially with the other factions bleeding each other out.

We are becoming more and more of a threat on the Galactic Status Que. At a certain point, someone will try to stop us because we are creating a path towards independence. Another Separatism in all but name, and one that could actually work.

The real question is when we reach the boiling point that someone doesn't give a shit about intergalactic relations and tries to conquer the CNS before they become too powerful. With a heavy price in blood.

Well I did have an idea... we could bring in the help of a faction that wants to preserve the status quo. I was thinking of a joint Hutt-Watcher operation to blackmail and/or buy out the boards of both megacorps into convincing them to drop their request, since it isn't public there won't be any backlash.

As to why the Hutts might help... well a hostile takeover of the bacta cartel going to generate a lot of credits and if the CNS gets invaded they loose a lot of credits.

@Dr. Snark: I'm curious if you'd be able to shed any light on my questions and musings in this post?

I thought the Abyss Watchers were the most powerful criminal organisation in the Galaxy now?

Or at the very least, we're tied with Jabba.

Also, I think Vectivus is seriously under-estimating Palps here. Keep in mind that Palps controls significant parts of the underworld himself and has more contingency plans than you can shake a stick at (like the secret colonies in the Deep Core, several force user sects he controls, multiple secret bases working on doomsday weapons).

My own model for how Palps works is that he is basically like Ciaran but got started earlier, has a more ideological view of the Galaxy and makes the (hopefully fatal) mistake of under-estimating his main opposition (Ciaran).

However, even if he is underestimating Ciaran, the odds are that he is putting more resources into his contingency plans than he did in Star Wars canon.

We are becoming more and more of a threat on the Galactic Status Que. At a certain point, someone will try to stop us because we are creating a path towards independence. Another Separatism in all but name, and one that could actually work.

Pretty sure we're going to be facing serious efforts to stop us this turn that's about to start. The CNS last turn expanded from an annoyance to controlling the majority of the rim in a single massive leap.

Mmkay. Let me clarify some things then.

I really don't get why the Foundary is better than any other automated refinery/droid factory in Star Wars.

I've been thinking of it as a baby version of the Star Forge that is also easier to control - so that it is just really, really good at making things.

Anyways. So long as the reward scales with the amount of effort you make us put in, it's OK for you to make the Foundary take work.

What you gotta understand is that the Foundry isn't just a space station capable of producing droids - it's a "cousin" of the damned Star Forge, a station that basically gave anyone who controlled it an instant armada capable of taking on the entire Republic.

The estimates of the station itself matching the production of an entire planet are more or less accurate.

That's why I can't just give it to you. You'd have enough output to have a Sudden Droid Army or even a Sudden Exterminator Droid Army or whatever designs you could plug into the thing.

So the Foundary consumed several billion tonnes of material to repair itself? It can't be that resource inefficient... So what did it make the asteroid field into?

Any more details would be spoilers, but I'd point out that "damage" is a very broad term.
