Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

Hey, for all those who are currently on planning the future Batman franchise, I have a question:

Why not have Mark Hamill as the Joker? In IRL he's basically the definitive voice for the Joker, so why not have him replicate it here? I mean, I won't mind Robin Williams at the role, but this seems like a very good idea in my opinion and we're friends with him thanks to Star Wars.

Just my two cents.
IMO it's because Mark is now a very well known actor and Robin isn't. This could be his big break and cement him as a legend like Ledger.

Pitch: Batman Returns
Now since we have two Batman return pitches, I'm still going to give rewards... just give me a sec.

[]The Batman (Everyone gets a +20 to SP and Chemistry)
[]Batman and Superman (Alan has a potential idea involving Superman and Batman)
[]Meanwhile with Alan (Alan receives a phone call from Sid... and he laughs at it)

I love it.

[]The Media is on your side... Quite a change of pace (Increase the prize pool of money by a factor of 4)
[]Ali is not happy (Ali sufferers a -30 to his rolls against you)
[]Does this mean that you don't care about the belt? (The Boxing community likes you.)

Movie Pitch:
Batman Returns
Another Batman Pitch... HAHAHA!

[]It seems we have some issues ahead that are no longer a problem (Malus to the production roll working for colombia removed)
[]I expected a lot less. (Colombia is taking your film incredibly seriously... despite all but ignoring it for several months. unknown Effect)
[]It seems I bring out the best in people (+20 to SP and Chemistry on everyone on Batman)

Personally I'd want someone like Raul Julia that can bring a sophistication to the roll like Caesar Romero did.

And a quick question everyone…

Do you wanna see the roll for the opening next turn?

Thanks

Is it bad that my first thought is that the - 30 should make it harder for Filming of Batman to be disrupted with an injured Bruce?

[X]Ali is not happy (Ali sufferers a -30 to his rolls against you)

Fun fact there should be a Superman and Mohammad Ali comic being produced by DC right now in which Ali Knocks out Superman in a boxing match? If Bruce can beat Ali that is going to absolutely fire up the Can superman Beat Batman crowd in the Playground.

Besides that, it seems like a neat cast. Shame we couldn't get Billy Dee Williams for Harvey Dent, guy deserves his shot as Two Face which was stolen from him.

Also is every actor listed for the Batman movie white? A little disappointing, would be nice if Goose pushed for more diverse casting, especially because a lot of the reason Ali is mad is we aren't doing anything to help minorities.

It stinks but that's what happens when you make a movie in 1978. Mainstream Black A-listers only started popping up in the 80's and the chances of getting a person of color for a non-exotic role is even lower. Maybe if this was a Lucasfilms movie we could have sprinkled a few characters, but Bruce only had so much leverage and we chose to use that on John.

But at the very least it's not like we haven't been giving parts to non-white actors. Half of the Lucasfilms production has at least one non-white main cast member and Toshiro Mifune as Obi-wan made history for being the first Japanese man to win an Oscar and he helped to continue what Bruce Lee started. We have two films that are focused on Black histor/culture with John Henry and Small Giant. A decent chunk of the scripts can have people of color in the cast. So there's still lots of opportunities.

If you want diversity specifically for Batman, then maybe in the next movie we can have Lucius Fox join the cast. Lucius couldn't be used for The Batman because he was made in 1979, but we can definitely use him for the sequels. Lucius joining the cast is a powerful statement of its own, that the main reason for Wayne Enterprises fortune and success after Thomas and Martha died was the brilliant leadership of a black man who Bruce treats as his equal, is responsible for the creation of the bat gadgets and is given day-to-day control of Wayne Enterprises as CEO. Heck, we can even cast Morgan Freeman here.

You certinaly could have tried, but all I'm going to say is that you are dealing with people who want to make money.

And to them, a black person in such a high profile role is not something that would make money, even if Lucasfilms proved that:

A. it does not matter the skin tone of a person, as long as they are skilled and competent.

B. Idiots who run the show don't make money. Just ask mike, he does not give a shit, as long as he makes more money. and he's a smart boy.

Not only do i want this...I NEED THIS!
I'm willing to add him as a supporting cast in my pitch if you guys want. But what would he do in the movie?
