You looked at Carrie and you both took a moment to hold her hand. "You know we should really be in the hospital. You're due at any day now?" You asked.
Carrie just rolled her eyes. "Because I don't think that wasting our time there would be a smart thing to do. Besides, we're only a few blocks away from a hospital, it's not like it's going to be anything worse."
You rolled your eyes. "Carrie, when you say it like that something bad is obviously going to happen."
Carrie just huffed. "No no, it's not. Because honestly, we've been ready for this for months, and your parents are coming over to make sure they are here."
You didn't like to be reminded of that insanity, but instead, you just walked toward the woman you loved and just hugged her. "I know, I want you both to be safe and comfortable."
Then Ginger rubbed against Carrie's leg, purring before she jumped away in fear, yelping as you looked at the water on her head
Then you laughed. "Well looks like Ginger doesn't agree…" Then you looked down. Then Carrie only looked at you.
"Don't you say it." She proclaimed.
"At least the contractions haven't started yet?" You asked.
Then Carrie doubled over and screamed in pain.

You thankfully had practiced the route for weeks before, and were thankfully on a first-name basis with most of the people out front… as well as the reporters out on the sidewalks waiting for you.
"Don't snap any pictures you fuckers!" You shouted as you broke a camera with a punch as you carried Carrie towards the entrance, somehow keeping your screaming and in pain wife off her feet. It was a feat of insane strength, one that almost everyone there thought was rather… scary
The twenty reporters that were following you were thankfully stopped by hospital security. For now, at least
The nurse at the Front desk was clearly not expecting you to punch a camera into a million pieces. "Um."
"Sorry about that Crystal." You said her name, without looking at her. "My wife is going into labor."
"Um… it's Sheryl. Crystal works the night shift." She said with a look of awe on her face. "Um, Mister O'Brian." You turned to see two nurses and a doctor. "Can you put your wife down, onto the wheelchair and follow us."
You did as she told you before you stopped and looked back at the reporters.
"Any of you try to follow, I'll more than press charges, I will make sure you never work in media again."
The threat was made, but that didn't seem to stop them from taking a step forward and taking pictures.
Then you step towards them, and they all coward like the crazy people they were.
"Alright, I'm ready."
Then you looked at Carrie who you leaned in close as you followed her. "I'll be alright. Just stay out here."

The Labor was extremely long, but you were still outside when your parents came in. "We heard from Debbie." Your mother said, and you noticed that Dad hadn't arrived yet.
"Everyone else?"
"Is scrambling to get here. We thought Carrie was due in another week." She said. "Your father is in Hawaii right now, and his flight will land later tonight. Cat won't be able to make it because her husband got into a car accident, and he's in hospital right now."
"Gavin?"
"I think he's an hour out. I know some of your friends were coming, and I gave them a call to see if they were coming?"
You knew George wasn't going to be able to make it with Marcia being due in a few weeks, and they both didn't want to put any more stress and pressure on Marcia than it was necessary.
"Who's coming?"
"Some man who only called himself San… or Tomino." She said. "And one of your business Partners, Michael Eisner."
Well, at least that was some good news. Mike and Tomino being here was nice. "Any of Carrie's Friends?"
You then turned around to see over 200 people standing at that. "Oh." You had forgotten that she had so many friends.
Robin walked forward and smiled. "Well Laurence, It seems that you were indeed the best to get the kid."
"I think Carrie might want some jokes once she's through Robin." You replied.

But then your mom sat you down as labor continued. "You know, I've been thinking about all the wonderful things that will soon happen. It would be better if you had some help." She then handed over a book with a taped cover.
"How to raise a kid." You looked at Mom and just sighed. "Really? I don't think I need a handbook to raise my kid?"
"Oh you will Bruce, and I gave it to Cat too, and she appreciated it once she realized that I managed to survive raising you three, and judging by the fact that this family is definitely going to be pushing for it, you will give me more grandkids to spoil"
"MOM!" You were disgusted. "I am not going just keep giving you more grandkids just because you want them!"
Your mother just smiled. "Give it a year Bruce."

It was a very long labor… five hours, but it was a safe one that Carrie was happy to have finally done.
And you happily smiled. "Hey carebear." she squeezed your hand. "You did it."
She just smiled. "I know… It's a girl."
You kept holding onto her hand. "A girl," you said.
You took a moment to think "We never thought of her name yet."
Carrie just laughed. "That's what you're worried about? Maybe after a movie character?"
"I'm not naming my daughter Leia."
That made Carrie laugh. "Good one. You know, I didn't know really what to think…" She then moved to her bed. "I'm going to sleep. You come up with a name, I'm too tired."

And Carrie had a long, but successful birth. Nothing too problematic.
Also, almost everyone showed up, except for Dad, who was delayed in Hawaii, and Cat, who was tending to her husband who was in a car crash. Though it was not too serious.
