Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

Movie Pitch: Basil of Baker Street: The Lost Colony
You know, when Basil of Baker Street was all done, it struck me as a bit of a waste that it would just end like that. I mean, we had the entire works of Eve Titus to work with, and unlike OTL version with Disney, this one was an unabashed success, showing the true versatility of animation, as well as an amazing tale that could be in dark tone but without being outright horror or mature for grown-ups. I thought that it would be an excellent idea if we could try and make a TV Show about Basil's further adventures.

Yeah, that idea lasted all of an hour.

Don't get me wrong, there is the material to be used, just...not enough if we want a TV Show. In the end we would have to either create new original adventures or "borrow" from Sherlock Holmes' adventures in order to find new storylines for the entire series. And hopefully you can forgive me but I wanted to be a bit more original than that. However, seeing the works of Ms. Titus, I figured that we had enough of a material to try and make more movies, more sequels to the story, thereby creating our first animation film franchise.

Big problem has been that I can't find the books to read, there is hardly any information about what the follow up books are about save a couple of lines describing the entire adventure, and an audio book I found only had the first chapter that had mostly Basil and Dawson just speaking about chasing Ratigan.

Yeah, apparently Ratigan is still alive in the books.

Anyways, I figure that I can try and form some sort of story from what little I've been able to find in the sequel books. it's what Disney (and us) did with the first book after all.

Thus, I give you:

Movie Pitch:
Basil of Baker Street: The Lost Colony

GENRE: Noir/Mystery

SUBGENRE: Adventure/Action

FORMAT: Movie (Animation)

Set Up: Based on the children's book Basil and the Lost Colony from the series Basil of Baker Street by Eve Titus, the main characters are all mice and rats living in Victorian London. After Ratigan's death, Basil and Dawson now will have to deal with the involvement of the government stopping him from getting involved in a series of thefts, all which point to a single culprit; Captain Doran, Ratigan's former subordinate. In order to see justice done, Basil will have to travel outside London, chasing after Captain Doran to a location unseen before, known only as "The Lost Colony".

Director: Brad Bird
Composer: Ennio Morricone

Basil and Dawson are working on a new case when they are interrupted in the midst of finding the culprit by the intervention of new forces led by Basil's older brother; Macrinus. Both brothers bicker, showing the animosity between them, with Macrinus telling Basil to stay out of the case, as this was now an official government investigation. Basil does not list and draws Dawson in order to find just what it is that they're trying to find.

They infiltrate the government building in Downing Street, where Basil uses a myriad of disguises to get inside, while Dawson makes sure to distract the authorities as long as possible. Basil manages to enter the archives and find what he's looking for; the current case which involves an individual known as Captain Doran...Rattigan's former Lieutenant. Basil is shocked, and then startled as Macrinus speaks behind him, knowing he would try to come. Both sides argue, with Basil complaining of Macrinus once more trying to control his life, while Macrinus insists that this is not something Basil should be involved with. Guards arrive, leading to a chase where both Basil and Dawson have to use all their wits to escape.

Once out, the team look at Doran's file, finding information on him, what he's been doing, and his current expedition to find some sort of "Lost Colony" in the arctic. Basil decides to search for him, part stubbornness to complete their last case, and part spitefulness towards Macrinus. The travel is arduous, eventually arriving at a port in the frontier from where they learn of more details on Doran and his expedition further north. There they meet Aput, a native who can guide them on the way, though he warns them of the dangers of the trail.

During the travel there are many dangers and hijinks, among them small tribes of "Blizzard Cats" as Aput calls them, but they manage to get to the location the native knew of; the community of Nunangat, that does not look like much at first, but Dawson soon points to an incongruity that Basil researches; there should not be that many people in a place that has little to no chances to feed that many. Though Aput tries to waylay them, they eventually find a secret path to a hidden location; a grander community...one that as soon as they enter they find themselves captured, Aput included.

After a while from being imprisoned, they are taken to the Chief's home, where they meet Aklaq, the new Chief...and Aput's brother. Alongside him is Captain Doran, his new adviser. After seeing the brothers bicker among themselves, Basil tries to convince Aklaq about captain Doran, but the brother does not listen, and they are brought once more to their cells. Once on the cells Aput tries to explain the situation in the hidden community, though Basil had already deduced that this was the "Lost Colony", one that vanished after joining with the hidden community of Nunangat.

They work out a plan to escape, and confront Aklaq in his rooms after knocking out his guards. The confrontation between brothers is fierce, but both Basil and Dawson intervene, helping them speak to each other, revealing Doran had actually had taken over the community after killing the previous Chief, their uncle, and keeping Aklaq as a puppet. His plan is simply to exploit them and their secret gold mine to become rich and return once he had all the riches. Aklaq did not say anything to protect his brother once Doran left.

After the sibling reconcile, Basil mentions how Doran leaving does not fit his profile, with Dawson recalling some stories about Doran when he was in Afghanistan, rumors about him making his fortune by killing communities outright. The group run to Doran's home to find it abandoned, but with hints as to his plans to destroy Nunangat. Basil follows the tracks as he chases him, while Dawson helps the siblings in finding the explosives, leading to both a chase scene and a race against the clock where they are both stopped at the nick of time.

In the final scene, both Basil and Dawson see Captain Doran being taken back to London by the Royal Guards, as Macrinus once more approaches Basil, both sides arguing a bit, before Basil thanks him for his help in bringing Doran to London. Macrinus is surprised, but accepts it in somewhat bashfully, while he thanks Basil for catching Doran...and saying in a low tone how he's happy he's unharmed. This moment is broken as both siblings soon find something new to bicker about, with Dawson just chuckling at them.
Detective Basil of Baker Street: He is a take-off of the classic Sherlock Holmes character, modeling his career after the famous detective's. Basil is a brilliant, plucky and tenacious mouse who refuses to back down no matter what stands against him once he decides to it. He comes off as a jack-of-all-trades, showing skill in areas such as science, history, and disguise, not to mention being physically capable. However he can also be prickly and self-centered as well as very emotional and operatic, becoming very moody if things do not go his way or if the situation looks dire.

Played By: Barrie Ingham

Doctor David Q. Dawson: Dr. Dawson is a bumbler who has a good heart and has joined Basil on his adventures and investigations as his partner. He previously served as the Queen's sixty-sixth Regiment in Afghanistan, before finally retiring to a more "normal" life. Dawson helps in both giving support and holding back his friend when he goes a bit too far into his investigation. During the adventure, he manages to help Basil in healing the brothers' disagreements.

Played By: Val Bettin

Captain Doran: He is Rattigan's former Lieutenant, who took over his syndicate once his boss died at Basil's hands. A former Captain in the Bangalore Pioneers, he's a deft hand at managing politics and presenting a respectable front, making him a more difficult opponent o sus out due to his connection with the upper class. He's managed to finance an expedition on search of a "Lost Colony" for supposedly archeological reasons, yet both Basil and Macrinus suspect him of more.

Played By: Colin Baker
Alternate: Christopher Lee

Fidget the Bat: A peg legged bat and Professor Ratigan's right-hand man. Fidget is a cowardly, greedy minion in the employ of Professor Ratigan. He is somewhat forgetful, as he left his hat and Ratigan's list (which allows Basil to track him down and find his hideout, respectively) when he ran away the first and second time, respectively. Despite this, he is also cunning; he tends to use stealth to carry out the tasks given to him by Ratigan. And in spite of his physical hardships, he's still quite scrappy. He isn't a very good speaker either.

Played By: Candy Candido
Mrs. Judson: She is Basil's maid. She lives in an apartment of Baker Street with Basil of Baker Street. She made cheese crumpets for Dawson and Olivia, acting as a mother figure towards her.

Played By: Diana Chesney

Macrinus of Downing Street: He is Basil's older brother, a man of great influence and intellect in the government. Though he and Basil tend to clash whenever they meet, in the end, Macrinus loves his younger brother and wants him to be safe.

Played By: Sylvester McCoy
Aklaq: He is the older brother of Aput, the nephew of Nanuq (the former Chief) and the current Chief of Nunangat. Aklaq saw Captain Doran kill his uncle and previous Chief in order to get the gold from their secret mines. He hopes that he can just give them what they want in order for them to leave. In the meantime he hopes to keep his brother out of the line of fire in order to protect him, no matter how much he hates him.

Played By: Gordon Tootoosis

Aput: He is the younger brother of Aklaq, and the nephew of Nanuq (the former Chief) and an avid explorer of the world outside his community. His curiosity had him be exiled from the community by his brother, though it is revealed later on that it was a ruse to keep him safe from Captain Doran and his group who'd managed to sink their claws into Nunangat.

Played By: Grant Bardsley

A.N.: I think that this movie should be done sooner rather than later in order to strike while character is still fresh in the minds of everyone who saw the movie. Then again, we could also try and wait for a bit and then surprise everyone with the release. Our advantage relies in that we still have the material, but Disney might get wise to our techniques soon. I selected Brad Bird since I want to see what he can do when he tries to make a sequel rather than trying an original film. If we make a later sequel i'm thinking on letting Don give it a shot, that way we could keep the franchise fresh by having different takes that still follow the characters' stories.

Léo Major
Movie pitch:

Canadian warrior:Léo Major

GENRE : Biopic/Action
SOUS-GENRE : Guerre
FORMAT : Film
Born on January 23, 1921, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to French Canadian parents, Major moved with his family to Montreal before his first birthday. While he grow up his father is often absent for work, leading Leo's mother to raise the kids herself, which is for the best since the father is a violent man who when he is at home often beats léo with a belt while saying things like "you're weak", "you're a coward" and "you'll never achieve anything in life". having enough of his father he moved to live with an aunt at age 14 and will began to work in a farm for a time then in railway construction where his bosses having noticed his hard work, his valor and his temerity decide to ( to léo great pleasure) form him to the use of explosive so he could handle and use the dynamite used to clear obstacles. The poor relation with his father, combined with a lack of available work, led Major to join the Canadian army in july 1940 at the age of 19 (wich was underage to join the army) to prove to his father that he was "somebody to be proud of".

He asked to be assigned and was assigned to the next regiment to go to Europe which was the Régiment de la Chaudière,they where sent to scotland for 3 years of training with two weeks off per year, during his training he specialized in reconnaissance, commando operations and precision shooting and took up boxing in his free time,he and his regiment arrived in europe on Juno beach in the Invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944,during the assault of the beach Leo and five of his comrades decide to use Bangalore torpedoes to get rid of a wall/bunker blocking progress, once a breach creates a tank buldozer clears the debris allowing Leo and his comrades to penetrate the fortification, stoping the blockhause from shooting and took twelve prisoners.

Later that day during a reconnaissance mission with a comrade,he and his comrad discovered an German halftrack isolated and with only three crew members without infantry support,he shoot the pilot in the shoulder to neutralize him while still have someone that know how to drive the vehicule, his comrade kill the machine gunner and the third crew member surendered, they bring the vehicle back to the Canadian camp, making big arm signals so as not to be taken for attackers, when they arrive a battalion leader officer congratulates them and demands several times that they hand over their prize so that he can steal the credit of the exploit, Léo refuses and brings the truck and the prisoners to the officer of his regiment, the vehicle contained German communication equipment and secret codes.

Days later june 24, during the battle of Caen during a reconnaissance mission léo and 4 comradehave their first encounter with an SS patrol, he killed four soldiers, they decide to ambush the five SS soldiers and the ss soldier decide to fight, for of them are imediatly killed, however, the fifth managed to ignite a phosphorus grenade and throw it near Leo before dying; in the resulting explosion, Major lost one eye but continued to fight. When he was told that he was being demobilized thanks to his new disability, he refuse and continued his service as a scout and a sniper by insisting he needed only one eye to sight his weapon. According to him, he "looked like a pirate".
During the Battle of Normandy he would have defeated a panzer alone and later conter ambushed and ambush made by several ss soldiers

On October 30, 1944 in Holland,léo major and his friend, Corporal Wilfrid Arsenault, were assigned to determine the fates of a company of recruits that had disappeared after being sent to capture a town; however, as Arsenault fell ill, Major went alone. After finding the company's abandoned equipment and determining they had been captured, Major entered a house to find shelter from the rain and the cold, when he spotted two German soldiers walking along a dike,In his report he described his motivation for his following action as follows: "I was wet, I was cold, they had to pay.",léo told them to surender, the first one tryed to use his weapon so major killed him,the second then accepted to surender,léo used him as bait to capture the other member of the patrol that where near, and brought his captives to their commanding officer;after negociation between léo and the officier the officer and his company, totaling around 100 men, surrendered, though three of the soldiers were killed by Major, major dicovered that the English prisoners have been transferred elsewhere. In a nearby group of houses, SS troops, witnessing the company surrender, opened fire on them with a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun, killing seven and injuring some others.Major disregarded the enemy fire and continued escorting his prisoners to the Canadian front line, ordering a passing Canadian tank to fire on the SS troops. He marched back to camp with the surviving 93 prisoners

Allegedly, Major was chosen to receive a Distinguished Conduct Medal for this feat. However, he declined the offer as, according to him, General Montgomery (who was to present him with the award) was "incompetent" and in no position to be giving out medals.

In 27 February 1945, Major was helping a military chaplain load corpses from a destroyed Tiger II tank into a Universal Carrier in Keppeln, Germany. After they finished, the chaplain and the driver seated themselves in the front while Major jumped in the back of the vehicle. The carrier struck a land mine, the resulting explosion killing the chaplain and the driver and knocking Major unconscious. Major claimed to have remembered a loud blast, followed by his body being thrown into the air and smashing down hard on his back. Upon regaining consciousness, he awoke to find two concerned medical officers trying to assess his condition. He simply asked if the chaplain was okay. They did not answer his question, but transported him on a truck to a field hospital 30 miles (48 km) away, stopping every 15 minutes to inject morphine to relieve the pain in his back.
During this accident, Léo suffered a triple fracture of his back, four broken ribs and a sprain in both ankles.
He still managed to get out of the British hospital to avoid demobilization, join a jeep and ask someone to take him to a family in the Netherlands with whom he had become friends and this for the time he heals,on March 29, 1945, after a month of rest, he joined back his unit.
At the beginning of April 1945, the Régiment de la Chaudière were approaching the city of Zwolle, which was shown to have strong German resistance. On April 13, the regiment's commanding officer asked for two volunteers for a reconnaissance mission into Zwolle, their tasks being to scout the German force and, if possible, make contact with the Dutch Resistance, before an Allied artillery barrage could commence. Private Major and his friend Corporal Arsenault stepped forward to accept the task. However, Major and Arsenault, wanting to spare the city from destruction, agreed to attempt to liberate the city themselves.

That night, Major and Arsenault entered the farmhouse of Hendrik van Gerner, who gave them rough positions of German emplacements near the railway tracks. After leaving the farmhouse, Arsenault was killed by German fire after accidentally giving away the pair's position. In a radio interview with RTV Zwolle, Major told that he became mad after that, but managed to control himself. Major killed two of the Germans, but the rest fled in a vehicle. Deciding to continue his mission alone, Major entered Zwolle near Sassenpoort.

(what happened that night is a bit vague but the most cinematic version is the following, (if necessary Leo was alive until 2008 we can just ask him how it happened.))
Major was carrying two Sten guns and a sack of grenades. He arrived in the centre of Zwolle at about 0100 hours and found the streets silent and almost deserted, all the people he met "were either collaborators or German. And the German I met, most of them were drunk.". Here, he spotted a German machine-gun nest which, since the crew was sleeping, he promptly attacked and eliminated. He then captured the driver of a German staff car outside a tavern, went inside the tavern with this captive, and disarmed the officer who was drinking inside. The two communicated in French, and Major learned the officer was from Alsace-Lorraine, "a region near France that was not terribly committed to Adolf Hitler's rabid designs"; finding the officer did not mean any harm, Major gave the officer his gun back: "I said the war is almost finished and I am a member of the advance party – I didn't say I was alone. I said it's a lovely town and I didn't want nobody to destroy that town." Major then "spent the next few hours engaging patrols whenever he could and setting off grenades where they would make noise, but do little damage",For several hours, Major moved through the streets with the lights on, flying a white flag, shooting at any target he could find, making an impression that a large Canadian force had arrived,he attacked the local SS headquarters, killed half of the height officers and put the others to flight, after which he stocked up on ammunition and set fire to the building to urge the ss and german in their withdraw, the citizens were awakened but were afraid to come out of their houses. By a stroke of luck, Private Major came across the head of the local resistance, Frits Kuipers, and three of his men. By now the Germans appeared to have fled the city in panic. The group therefore returned to the town hall and the resistance fighters brought the citizens out into the streets. The local radio station was used to announce that the town had been liberated. Major was exhausted but he had to complete his mission by bringing back the body of his comrade, Wilfrid Arsenault, to his lines. At 0400 hours 14 April 1945, he waded across a canal, after posting numerous patrols of the Dutch Resistance Movement at strategic points. On his way back, though wet and tired, he picked up the body of his Corporal and brought it in.In this manner, he returned to the Canadian lines to report the result of his mission to his commanding officer
Thanks to Major's efforts, the planned shelling of Zwolle was called off, and the Régiment de la Chaudière entered the city the next day without firing a single shot. For his actions, Major received the Distinguished Conduct Medal and this time he accepted it.

He is the only man who has records of having liberated a city alone, he is celebrated and very appreciated in the city he liberated but only discovered this when his wife asked him why he had received a letter inviting him to the 25th anniversary of the liberation of the city, he was surprised that he was remembered and gave a long explanation to his wife about what he had done during the war.
After the conclusion of World War II, Major having little interest in a military career in peacetime returned tofound a job as a pipe fitter. He also got an operation ans spend 3 monts in an hospital to fix his back, which had bothered him since the landmine explosion in February 1945.

When the Korean War broke out, the Canadian government raised a force to join the United Nations Command in repelling the communist invasion. Major was called back and ended up in the Scout and Sniper Platoon of 2nd Battalion Royal 22e Régiment (R22eR) of the 25th Canadian Infantry Brigade, 1st Commonwealth Division. Major fought in the First Battle of Maryang San, where he received a bar to his Distinguished Conduct Medal for capturing and holding a key hill in November 1951.

Hill 355, nicknamed Little Gibraltar, was a strategic feature, commanding the terrain for twenty miles around, so the Communists were determined to take it before the truce talks came to an agreement that would lock each side into their present positions. Hill 355 was held by the 3rd U.S. Infantry Division (around 10,000 men) , who linked up with the R22eR on the Americans' western flank. On November 22, the Chinese 64th Army (around 40,000 men) began their attack: over the course of two days, the Americans were pushed back from Hill 355 by elements of the Chinese 190th and 191st Divisions. The 3rd U.S. Infantry Division tried to recapture the hill, but without any success, and the Chinese had moved to the nearby Hill 227, practically surrounding the Canadian forces.

Leo Major was asked if he thought that with his men he could do something to relieve pressure he said yes and asked to select 18 mento form a team and that each of them receive 8 days vacation and a bottle of rum after the mission it was accepted, an elite scout and sniper team of 18 men trained, selected and led by Léo Major was brought up,wearing running shoes to silence their movements, passed through enemy lines and crept up Hill 227 from the Chinese side. At a signal, Major's men opened fire, panicking the Chinese who were trying to understand why the enemy's fire was coming from the centre of their troops instead of from the outside. By 12:45 am, Major's team had retaken the hill. However, an hour later, the 190th and the 191st, totalling around 14,000 men, launched a counter-attack. Major was ordered to retreat, but refused and found scant cover for his men. He held the enemy off throughout the night, though they were so close to him that Major's own mortar bombs were practically falling on him. The commander of the mortar platoon, Captain Charly Forbes, later wrote that Major was "an audacious man ... not satisfied with the proximity of my barrage and asks to bring it closer...In effect, my barrage falls so close that I hear my bombs explode when he speaks to me on the radio."Major and his platoon held Hill 227 for three days trhough seven major chineese assault coming from every direction and several minor ones with only one wounded and no casualty until relieved by the U.S. 3rd Infantry Division who managed to break through the weakened enemy lines thanks to the mess caused by major and his men
After the war major got back to the civilian life and will live in quebec until 2008
Here,i think it's a life worthing being adapted in a movie,it enlght a country often underestimated or fortgoten when talking about ww2 and it also mess with the chineese government

What do you think ?

Movie Pitch: Gamera: Advent of Legion
Of the Gamera movies, I have to say that the second one is a clear improvement over the first. It just has that whole...something, that makes it truly special. Perhaps it's the fact that the monster is more terrifying than Gyaos, or perhaps it's that the whole situation feels a bit more grounded than the previous film...and this one has alien silicone-based lifeforms trying to consume glass in order to launch spores into space to reproduce, which will destroy the Earth!

Yeah, something tells me that might not be it.

Anyways, the movie is fun, and it keeps you rooting for Gamera the entire time. The human characters are likeable, the Kaiju fights are impressive, and the final scenes are just amazing in and of themselves. Besides, there is some message about keeping the Earth safe, yet unlike previous Godzilla films, this one is actually subtle, and it's left to the end of the film.

Thus, I give you:

Movie Pitch:
Gamera: Advent of Legion

GENRE: Kaiju/Action/Horror

SUBGENRE: Fantasy/Drama

FORMAT: Japanese Movie

Set Up: Based on the character owned by Daiei films, this movie is a sequel to the reboot of the franchise. One year after the battle between Gamera and Gyaos, Japan is invaded by a race of insect-like, silicon-based alien life forms dubbed "Legion", that attempt to make Earth their new home. Gamera must now return to Japan in order to defeat the aliens, yet this time his foe may be more than he can handle, as the aptly titled "Legion" many bodies have both the numbers, and the power to bring an end to all life on the planet.

Director: Kazuki Ōmori
Composer: Koichi Sugiyama

Lieutenant Colonel Watarase: He is a JGSDF Chemical School Officer. The man at the front in finding out Legion's weaknesses and just what exactly it is. he is a brave dedicated man who is willing to lead from the front and protect the people of Japan. During the film he gains an appreciation and respect for Gamera, as well as the friendship of Midori and Obitsu.

Played By: Toshiyuki Nagashima
Alternate: Ken Ogata

Midori Honami: She is a curator at the Sapporo Science Center. Always cool under pressure, she never hesitates to do the right thing, even when it puts her in danger. She is the one that leads most of the investigation and discovers what Legion's plan is, and believes in Gamera can defeat him above all. She seems to understand that Gamera is a force that can aid humanity, so long as humanity does not destroy the Earth.

Played By: Hisako Manda
Alternate: Setsuko Karasuma

Gamera: The titular kaiju, Gamera is a giant flying, fireball-breathing turtle that was created by an advanced civilization (Atlantis) to exterminate the invading Gyaos. While not apparent at first glance, Gamera does have a soft spot for children. His connection to Asami allows him to understand humanity, though at the end of the film that connection is broken to allow him to defeat Legion

Played By: Kenpachiro Satsuma
Alternate: Toru Kawai

Legion: It is a silicon-based alien who's arrived on Earth to consume silicon-based products in order to better reproduce and expand upon the Universe, even if doing so causes the destruction of Earth. Legion comes in two forms; the small group of aliens that gives it its name, and the huge singular creature that controls the smaller swarm and fights Gamera.

Played By: Masashi Takeguma
Alternate: Tatsumi Fuyamoto
Asagi Kusanagi: She is a young girl who lives with her father. She forms a spiritual bond with Gamera after she received an ancient pendant found on Gamera's hide by her father and 1st. Officer Yoshinari. She is in the second city that Legion attacks, and as such she can see Gamera as he fights. In the time passed, she's still believed in Gamera, even when their connection's cut off.

Played By: Yasuko Sawaguchi
Alternate: Yuki Saito

Network Engineer Obitsu: He is an engineer aiding Honami during her research into Legion. A man who tends to be excitable, he's also very brave and willing to dive into danger to defeat Legion and help Gamera. Her knowledge in computers and programming aid in finding Legion's composition, as well as where they are planning to construct their nests.

Played By: Daisuke Ryu
Alternate: Kenichi Hagiwara
Akio Najiri: He is Honami's superior in the Sapporo Science Center. He's an affable man who trusts those under him.

Captain Hanatani: He is Watarase's partner and friend. A stickler for the rules, he's dedicated to protecting the people of Japan.

A.N.: So, this would be the sequel to the Pitch we're trying to get Daiei to make now. If we manage to reboot the Gamera franchise (and they really need it after the entire fiasco that was last year's film Gamera: Super Monster) then I'm thinking on making a couple more Gamera films before trying for Revenge of Iris. That movie, while good, seemed a bit rushed as it made Gamera go from chill to murderous in a single film without showing it happening. Which, I guess it's something regular when it happens in Godzilla films, but I want something different for Gamera.

Anime Movie Pitch: 009 Re: Cyborg
I really like Cyborg 009. I don't know what it is, but the series just has this charm to it that I just can't put my finger to it. When I first saw the series was the 2000s adaptation, which then of course had me try to find more and couldn't because the Internet was not sophisticated enough to get more information about the series. It was only many years later that I found the manga, the other series, and the movies that were made.

Frankly, the Re: Cyborg film was not one that I particularly liked. It all was just too confusing and odd when I tried to compare it to what I had seen. Not to mention that I did not like the inclusion of a girlfriend for Joe, she did not have anything to do in the movie besides just making an appearance and then showing itself as a hallucination. However, I then read the Manga and found an entirely different experience; Many more scenes had been added that helped the storyline make more sense, the girlfriend was scrapped, and the entire religious metaphysical tone was more consistent as well (not to mention the scenes between Joe and Françoise are given the weight they deserve).

So, I think if we can make a film about this amazing series, then we need to follow the manga version, and if we can try it now we could make a huge splash considering that the previous Cyborg 009 film got middling reviews at best, but it must have still been very popular. That this could also be our introduction into Anime Movies in Japan (and from there to bring them to America) is another bonus.

Thus, I give you:

Anime Movie Pitch:
009 Re: Cyborg

GENRE: Action/Adventure/Cyberpunk

SUBGENRE: Science Fiction/Fantasy

FORMAT: Anime Movie

Set Up: Based on 1964's Cyborg 009 and the characters created by Shotaro Ishinomori. Nine cyborgs created for destructive purposes disappeared after they were forced to turn on their creators in the name of justice. Now, as a number of seemingly unrelated terrorist attacks happen in locations throughout the world, the group reunites to battle against the devastating force and restore order to the globe once more.

Animation Studios: Sunrise/DreamWorks Studios
Director: Mamoru Oshii
Composer: Kentarō Haneda

Eliminate Tomoe Hayasaka from the movie.

Change Anti-American sentiment and try to bring the more cyberpunk element of Corporations being the ones behind it all before they started hearing "His Voice".

Follow the Manga more closely, as it has more scenes added that can help the movie have more consistency, and keep the designs from it (As in the uniforms are kept the same, and 003 is still blond, etc.).
Cyborg 009/Joe Shimamura: He is delinquent youth who was shunned by his peers because he was a half-breed, he escaped from a juvenile detention facility before being captured by Black Ghost. After winning the rebellion and fight against Black Ghost, he left the team and blocked his memories in order to live as a regular student, until the terrorist attacks needed him and the other cyborgs to fight once more. He is super-humanly strong, resistant to damage, can leap large distances, and can breathe underwater. He can also move at a speed so fast that everything else looks like a statue to him, this is triggered by a switch embedded in his teeth. He and Françoise are in a romantic relationship.

Seiyuu: Tōru Furuya
Alternate: Kazuhiko Inoue

Cyborg 008/Pyunma: He was originally from an undisclosed part of Africa (eventually revealed to be Kenya). Originally, Pyunma was to have been made a slave along with the people of his tribe, but he escaped from his chains and ran off. Cornered by the slave drivers, all seemed lost until the slave drivers were shot dead by Black Ghost agents from out of nowhere, who then used him as part of their Cyborg experiments. After the fight against Black Ghost, Pyunma became an archeologist, who discovered the "Angel Skeleton", which is theorized to be the cause of people committing terrorist actions in "His Name". He has mechanical lungs that allow him to survive for long periods of time underwater.

Seiyuu: Kazuyuki Sogabe
Alternate: Kōji Totani

Cyborg 007/Sir Great Britain: He was originally from the United Kingdom. He was once a famous and talented stage actor with a broad knowledge of famous shows but a weakness for Alcohol caused his downfall when Black Ghost managed to trick him into following them with an alcohol bottle. After joining the other Cyborgs in defeating Black Ghost, Great Britain joined his country's secret services. He can reshape his cellular structure at will, allowing him to take the form of any object, creature, or person he wishes. With his superb acting skills, he can also blend in with the enemy to use sneaky maneuvers and attacks.

Seiyuu: Kiyonobu Suzuki
Alternate: Kaneta Kimotsuki

Cyborg 006/Chang Changku: He was an impoverished Chinese farmer who once owned a pig farm; almost all of his pigs ran away and he was starving and suffering under heavy taxes. Hopeless, Chang decided to end his misery by hanging himself, but was "saved" by a bullet from Black Ghost which cut the noose. Chang fainted and was later delivered to the Black Ghost laboratory. After Black Ghosts' defeat, he opened his own restaurant, yet still returned to fight one the terrorist attacks began, being able to find much information. Chang's power allows him to breathe huge flames which he uses to create tunnels in the earth and attack enemies with underground explosions.

Seiyuu: Sanji Hase
Alternate: Ichirō Nagai

Cyborg 005/Geronimo Jr.: He was originally from an undisclosed part of the southwest United States (either Arizona or New Mexico). Unable to find work, he accepted Black Ghost's invitation, not knowing what their true aim was. After the retirement of the rest of the Cyborg's, he went back home, but returned when terrorist attacks began. He fought an amnesiac Joe to help him regain his memories, and defended Professor Gilmore during the attacks. Physically, he is the strongest as well as the biggest of the 00 Cyborgs; he also has heavily armored skin. He is a quiet, reserved man, and it's speculated that he may have a sort of sixth sense that allows him to sense changes in the nature.

Seiyuu: Toshio Furukawa
Alternate: Tōru Ōhira

Cyborg 004/Albert Heinrich: He was originally from Germany (specifically, East Berlin). He and his fiancée, Hilda attempted to escape to West Berlin, but they were discovered, shot at, and left for dead. Black Ghost found Heinrich still alive (but heavily wounded), but Hilda was already dead. The extent of his injuries resulted in him receiving the most extensive cyborg modifications: the fingertips on his right hand conceal machine gun barrels, his left hand has razor-sharp edges, and he has missiles hidden in his knees. After defeating Black Ghost he returned to Germany to aid in his country's reunification, serving as a symbol of strength for them, returning to fight when the terrorist attacks began.

Seiyuu: Keaton Yamada
Alternate: Hirotaka Suzuoki

Cyborg 003/Françoise Arnoul: She was originally a ballet dancer from France. Her brother Jean, a member of the French Air Force returning to Paris on a one-week leave, was to meet Françoise at the train station. However, she was kidnapped by Black Ghost operatives, despite repeated attempts by her brother to save her along the way. Though not a frontline fighter, she still is capable of such; she has enhanced vision and hearing, allowing her to see through walls and sense objects an enormous distance away; and is also an excellent pilot, technician, and a machine whiz. She and Joe have a romantic relationship, despite him losing his memories he always remembers her.

Seiyuu: Hiroko Suzuki
Alternate: Shino Kakinuma

Cyborg 002/Jet Link: He comes from New York City in the United States and was the leader of a street gang on Manhattan's West Side. He was kidnapped by Black Ghost during a fight with a rival gang. He has a brash personality which often conflicts with his peers, but he's a loyal, good-hearted member of the team, providing air support and rescue. Jet has thrusters built into his feet, allowing him to fly at speeds of up to Mach 5. After the defeat of Black Ghost he returned to America in order to help his country. He has a bad relationship with Joe, as he often feels jealous of him.

Seiyuu: Keiichi Noda
Alternate: Kōichi Hashimoto

Cyborg 001/Ivan Whisky: An infant born with a severe illness which his father Gamo, a famous brain surgeon, tried to cure but went mad in the process. Gamo performed numerous brain enhancement processes on Ivan in his attempt to cure him which granted the young baby a mental capacity far exceeding that of a normal human. Black Ghost took custody of him, up till the rebellion by all the others. Ivan's enhanced brain gives him several psychic powers, including, telepathy, telekinesis, and extrasensory perception. Though it takes him a lot of energy, and needs to sleep for days if he strains himself. He remains with Gilmore during the time in between the defeat of Black Ghost and the new attacks.

Seiyuu: Fuyumi Shiraishi
Alternate: Sachiko Chijimatsu

Professor Isaac Gilmore: He is the lead scientist in the 00 Cyborg program. Gilmore was a dutiful worker who hid a deep distrust for Black Ghost's plans. After the cybernetic enhancements for the first nine 00 Cyborgs were complete, he intentionally let himself be "taken hostage" by the cyborgs. Since then, he has been the team's advisor and father figure, not only helping to formulate the team's plans but also assisting them with the nuances of their newfound mechanical bodies. After the defeat of Black Ghost, the UN feared his power, forcing a reduction of the budget for the Cyborgs, and leading to them disbanding. He investigated the attacks as soon as they began, reuniting the Cyborgs once more.

Seiyuu: Jōji Yanami
Alternate: Kōji Yada

A.N.: I put Mamoru Oshii as the Director as he tends to take the material and try to change it somewhat when he makes the film. The Manga/Movie still retains loyalty to the concept, but adds some religious subtext that should hopefully be enough for him. If not, then we can get another director if necessary. I want the Manga plot to be followed, so I think it would be a good idea to read it so that you know what it is about.

Toriyama Pitch: Sand Land
This one is not for us. This one is for a great man who was taken away too soon, and a man who did more for the world than I'd ever thought.

At this moment Toriyama should still be working for Dr. Slump and trying to find new ideas for what will become Dragon Ball in the future. And I hope to give him the opportunity to bring to life one of his latest works. It's not that long that should impede him from continuing his current one, but I think it's something that will help him further his career even more.

Thus, to Toriyama-Sensei, we hope he brings us:

Toriyama Pitch:
Sand Land

Set Up: After enduring years of natural disaster and war, the world is left without its main supply of water; the river that provided water to the country dried up long ago. With the greedy king of the land's personal water supply becoming increasingly more expensive for the citizens of Sand Land to buy, the people begin robbing one another for water and money. Sheriff Rao, tired of the king's greed, approaches the demons of Sand Land for help in searching for a new water supply. Demon prince Beelzebub and his friend Thief agree to join Rao.

Mangaka: Akira Toriyama

Beelzebub: Named after the biblical demon of the same name, he is the son of Lucifer and the prince of demons. Generally referred to only as "Prince" by his fellow demons, Beelzebub tries to live in relative harmony with the humans. Although he regularly steals water from them, he only takes as much as he and the demons need to survive. Simply joining Sheriff Rao out of boredom, Beelzebub lends his enhanced sight and demonic strength to fight against the tyrannous king.

Rao: An elderly man, he seeks to free the people of Sand Land from the king's pocket. Formerly known as General Shiba, he is believed to have died 30 years ago along with his forces while destroying a mysterious weapon on the king's orders. As he travels with Beelzebub and Thief, Rao learns that the weapon was not actually a weapon at all, but instead a machine to artificially create water. Rao sets to right his wrong by bringing down the king and helping those whose family died due to his actions.

Thief: He is recruited by Beelzebub for his expertise at stealing and his great wisdom. He often fights with Beelzebub for turns to drive the tank. He is very easily excitable, but is loyal to Beelzebub, and wants him to be sage at all costs. In time he grows fond of Rao, and grows to respect him just as Rao does him.

General Are: He is Rao's replacement in the king's army, Are's father died during the raid against the mysterious weapon. Initially, he actively pursues Rao in order to avenge his father. However, once he learns the truth about the mysterious weapon he joins Rao in bringing down the king.
General Zeu: The true antagonist of Sand Land, Zeu is the aging commander of the King's forces. Due to his failing body, Zeu is confined to a floating robotic lift. He ordered the attack on the Picchi people, the creators of the water-producing machine, to both rid himself of Shiba's disobedient tank brigade and the threat to the king's monopoly. He uses the king as a figurehead to rule Sand Land. Ultimately, Are shoots and kills him with a tank cannon blast.

King: As the current ruler of Sand Land the king makes enormous profit by selling bottled water at high prices. He tries to eliminate Rao to make sure nobody finds out about his personal water supply or the water-creating machine he had destroyed. After water is returned to Sand Land, he is forced by Rao to give his wealth to the people.
Lucifer: King of the demons and Beelzebub's father.

Papa: The muscular leader of the Swimmers, the self-proclaimed "greatest criminals in Sand Land", and father of the other members.

Pike: A skinny member of the Swimmers who wears a necktie with no shirt. He has superhuman eyesight.

Shark: A skinny member of the Swimmers who wears a blazer with no shirt. He can run at superhuman speed.

Guppy: An extremely large and fat member of the Swimmers. He carries a large hand cannon.

A.N.: I really hope this is not seen as something distasteful. I just want to bring something good to Akira Toriyama, even if only in this quest, in thanks for everything he gave us in this world.

Marvel Manga Pitch: SP//dr: Amazing Armored Hero
Here's something that I've been cooking up for a bit. Well... not exactly. Originally, I had been making this as an anime, but @Kaiser Chris convinced me to make it a comic first, before I then decided to spice things up and kickstart Amerimanga/OEL's. I've been wanting to do that for a while, initially intending to do it with Charlton, but I felt like people might complain if I did it for Charlton before Marvel, so... As previously discussed within the thread, I have decided to make a pitch for Peni Parker in order to capitalize on the current popularity of the Mecha genre as well as the success of Spider-Noir to help kickstart the Spider-verse(even if I personally have a low opinion of the wider Spider-verse). For the writers, I obviously included Mavis Kingsley, since I like giving her as many writing credits as I can (I need to get her into that Writers Room damn it!) as well as the fact that she is already well known for her work in revolutionizing the Mecha genre, but I also decided to include Simon Furman to write alongside her. Given that Mavis is doing tons of other work, she can't go gallivanting off to write comics all on her own, not to mention the fact that it's not what she's primarily interested in, hence Simon being the primary writer with Mavis working with him(particularly to stay consistent with the future animated series). Seeing as how Furman was one of the writers for the Marvel Transformers comics, I felt that he would fit rather well as the primary writer for the series, at least until the Transformers comics come around. The same goes for Geoff Senior, seeing as how he was one of the artists for the Marvel Transformers comics. The only other thing that I think I wanted to mention was the tone of the series, just for the sake of people's references. Drawing from part of Peni Parker's real life inspiration in Neon Genesis Evangelion, I wanted to go for a darker tone than was presented with her character in the Spiderverse films or in the comics in which she appears. Specifically, I was aiming for that sort of "child soldier, everything is slowly falling apart and unraveling" feel. The other primary reference for tone that I had decided on was actually Berserk, specifically the Millennium Falcon War(yes, that's what it's called, hardy har har) arc. This arc, and the latter half of it in particular, is notable for not only being the longest Berserk arc to date(it's soooo long), but also because this is when the series begins to make a noticably lighter tonal shift from it's eldritch, grimdark fantasy roots. I envision that being emulated here with Peni, starting out lighter before shifting to being much darker and more Evangelion in tone, before shifting once again to what I'd call "cautiously optimistic" or "hesitantly hopeful," in a similar vein to what is presented in the latter half of Berserk. Although, like I've discussed with Kaiser Chris, just because I'm specifically referencing Evangelion and Berserk, doesn't mean that there aren't positive and lighter moments. It just means that I didn't take the time to flesh them out like I did the darker moments. I think I've said all that I wanted to for now, and I'd once again like to thank @Kaiser Chris for his contribution and assistance and I hope y'all enjoy!

Marvel Manga Pitch:
SP//dr: Amazing Armored Hero

Writers: Simon Furman and Mavis Kingsley
Artist: Geoff Senior
FORMAT: Amerimanga/Original English-Language Manga(OEL)
SET UP: Peni Parker was just a normal girl like any other until her father died. Her father was the pilot of Sp//dr, a mech developed by Oscorp that was used to help protect the city. After his death, she was contacted by Oscorp for the intention of having her bond with Sp//dr and becoming it's next pilot and protecting the city, a prospect that she was eager for. Now under the command of Uncle Ben and Aunt May, she must work hard and risk life and limb to ensure the safety and security of the people while doing what she can to scrape together a normal life and find fulfillment, but that's much easier said than done when all you've known is how to be a child soldier in a war that wasn't yours to fight.

Movie pitch The Nightmare Before Christmas

Movie pitch

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Genre:Action, Family, Fantasy, Humor,Musical
Sub-Genre:Halloween movie
Format: Full-Length claymation Movie
Halloween Town is a fantasy world populated by various monsters and beings associated with the holiday of haloween. Jack Skellington, the well-respected "Pumpkin King," leads the town in organizing the annual Halloween celebrations. Unknown to the citizens, however, he has grown tired of the same annual routine this year and wants something new . Wandering in the woods the next morning, he discovers several trees containing doors, which lead to other holiday-themed worlds (Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, Valentine's Day,St. Patrick's Day,etc). Stumbling through the one leading to Christmas Town and awed by the unfamiliar holiday, Jack develops an obsession for it .

Jack returns home to share his discovery with his friends and neighbors. They relate to Christmas Town's ruler, Santa Claus (or "Sandy Claws" if you listen to jack), but are unfamiliar with the concept of Christmas and conflate its customs with the Halloween traditions that they are used to . Frustrated, Jack isolates himself in his house and studies Christmas further, intent upon finding a way to rationally explain it . When days of study and experimentation accomplish nothing, however, Jack abandons his attempts to understand Christmas and decides to "improve" the holiday instead.

Jack announces that Halloween Town will take over Christmas this year and assigns Christmas-themed jobs, such as singing carols, making presents and building a sleigh pulled by skeletal reindeer, to various residents. Sally, a feminine creation of local mad scientist Doctor Finkelstein, experiences a vision detailing that their efforts will end in disaster. Jack, whom she secretly loves, dismisses her warnings and instructs her to make a Santa Claus suit for him. He also tasks a mischievous trick-or-treating trio named Lock, Shock and Barrel with abducting Santa; however, he orders the youngsters not to involve his long-time rival Oogie Boogie, a bogeyman with a passion for gambling, in their plot.

When Lock, Shock and Barrel bring Santa to Halloween Town (after mistakenly kidnapping the Easter Bunny first), Jack tells Santa that he will take care of Christmas this year and orders the trio to keep Santa safe. However, they disobey Jack's orders and bring Santa to Oogie, who plots to play a game with Santa's life at stake . Meanwhile, despite her best efforts, Sally is unable to stop Jack from proceeding with his plan . As Jack departs to deliver presents in the real world, she attempts to rescue Santa from Oogie, only to be captured herself.

Unknown to Jack at first, his presents terrify the real world's populace, who contact the authorities and are instructed by them to lock down their homes and residences for protection. When word spreads about Jack's actions, he is shot down by military forces, causing him to crash in a cemetery. While the residents of Halloween Town believe him to be dead, Jack actually survived the ordeal. Bemoaning the disaster that he has caused , he realizes that he enjoyed the experience nonetheless, reigniting his love for Halloween, but must act fast to fix the mess he had caused.

Upon returning home, Jack rescues Santa and Sally, then confronts Oogie and defeats him by unraveling a thread holding his cloth form together, causing all of the bugs inside Oogie to spill out and reduce him to nothing. Jack then apologizes to Santa, who scolds him for the chaos that he caused and for ignoring Sally's warnings. As Santa departs, however, both he and Sally assure Jack that Christmas can still be saved.

Santa resumes his yearly duties as he replaces Jack's presents with genuine ones, while all of Halloween Town celebrates Jack's survival and return. To assure Jack that there are no hard feelings between them, Santa brings a snowfall to the town, thereby bringing the Christmas spirit upon it and, in a way, fulfilling Jack's original dream. The citizens finally realize the true meaning of Christmas, while Jack and Sally declare their love for each other and share a kiss.
A personal favorite,a good start in claymation and with tim burton begining to pitch it around holywood soon we should have the oportunity to make it soon.

Charlton Comics Presents... Doomsday Clock Part 3
FINALLY!!! I finally finished a Part 3 to Doomsday Clock. This shit has been really getting on my nerves because my progress had been slow for quite some time, I finally finished up the part I was working on, only to realize that I worked on the wrong part and had to rearrange things.😩 😭
Anyway, I can finally start moving forward with more Charlton Comics, and it at least means that I already have Part 4 finished. This is pretty short because I genuinely could not come up with fuck all as a short storyline for Thunderbolt. Like, I have ideas for later full fledged arcs and storylines, but not for this quick, one and done. It's not much, but I hope you get a kick out of it anyway. The writer for the Doomsday Clock issues is officially going to be Jeff Rovin, as I felt that it made the most sense that he would be so personally invested in it's success, since he's banking everything on it. For the artist, I chose Geof Darrow because his art is actually unreal and he, remarkably, will have done practically fuck all work for Marvel or DC for decades. He technically hasn't entered comics yet, but I figure it isn't too big of a leap since he'd do it in about a year anyway and Charlton has a couple of people he'd associate with or were his influences like Alex Toth or Steve Gerber. I figure he can do good work for Charlton primarily, although I definitely want to get him on the Pacific Rim comic pitch that I'm cooking up since I think his incredible artwork and attention to detail would lend itself incredibly well to Pacific Rim. Anyway, enjoy the work of Jeff and Geof.

Charlton Comics Presents...
Doomsday Clock Part 3

SET UP: In the year 2050, Earth is under the rule of the oppressive tyrant, Monarch. His rule is dystopian and the future is bleak for the people of Earth. Matthew Ryder, an expert on temporal studies and a scientist under the employ of Monarch, worked to develop his technology to travel back in time and prevent the tyrannical ruler from ever rising to power. He learned that in the late 20th century, one of Earth's superheroes had turned evil. They had gone on to kill all of Earth's heroes and villains, assumed the identity of Monarch, and began their rise to global domination. Because Monarch only ever appeared in a full body suit of armor, his previous identity was unknown to Ryder. Matthew Ryder succeeds in travelling back in time, 20 years before Monarch's massacre of Earth's heroes, in his desperate bid to find Monarch's true identity and kill him with his new powers before he can rise to power. Unfortunately, Monarch is not far behind and is determined to hunt Ryder down and kill both him, and anyone else who stands in his way. To face this unprecedented threat, Earth's greatest heroes and it's most sinister villains must work together to defeat Monarch and change the future.
Writer: Jeff Rovin
Artist: Geof Darrow
In this installment of the Doomsday Clock storyline, after departing from the confused and defeated Blue Beetle, Waverider tracks down the Thunderbolt and battles with him for a time, before overpowering him and peering into his timelines. He sees various alternate versions of Thunderbolt, some good, some evil, and he sees him battle against all manner of villains including: The acrobatic, clown-themed thief, Circus. The fearsome and wrothful gang leader and Dragon of Kyushu, Lung. The world famous, bird themed bank robbers, The Yardbirds. The slimy and elusive Bond villain, Coil. The reawakened tyrannical female pharaoh, Evila. The beautiful, and equally deadly villainess, Spider Lily. The violent and psychotic killer, Shard. The mystical, Lady Zodiac. The seemingly immortal and insane gang leader, The Butcher. And his long time rival and nemesis from his days at the monastery, Andreas Havoc, among many others not shown. One timeline in particular he focuses in on shows a Thunderbolt, already skeptical of modern civilization and fearful of nuclear war, concocts a scheme that ends with him deceiving world leaders and him nuking the world to prevent the world from nuking itself, taking obvious inspirations from the portrayal of Ozymandias in The Watchmen. Having seen enough to determine that Peter Cannon was not Monarch, he begins to leave in search for his next target, The Peacemaker.

Movie Pitch: Gamera: Evolution of Jiger
Alright then, I mentioned trying some original ideas for Gamera, and this is one of them. Jiger seems like one of the coolest models of monsters, and his history about being a past Demon of Mu, makes it easier to adapt than other Gamera monsters like Zigra or Viras (which were both previous pitches before trying for this one). Overall, I'm thinking of making this as the first movie where humans, even if only accidentally, are the ones who antagonize Gamera, thus paving the way for future entries where Gamera may fight against humanity in the future...or at the very least imply so that when the final film have both work together, it is not greeted with indifference but with relief.

I want this series to be more successful than it is today, something that can be a true peer to Godzilla and beyond, I'm aiming at making the 80s and 90s the year when the return of the Kaiju's is heralded by Gamera above them all.

Thus, I give you:

Movie Pitch:
Gamera: Evolution of Jiger

GENRE: Kaiju/Action

SUBGENRE: Fantasy/Drama/Thriller

FORMAT: Japanese Movie

Set Up: Based on the character owned by Daiei films, the third film in the rebooted franchise. Three years after the invasion of Legion, technological breakthroughs through "Monarch Sciences" have allowed the country to enter a new economic boom. What no one knows is that Monarch Sciences is delving into creating their own "Kaiju" by orders of the new Bureau of Paranormal Defense, in order to fight against any other monster invasion...including Gamera if needs be. Yet, when their newest weapon gets out of control, their one chance at survival may well be the amphibious monster.

Director: Kazuki Ōmori
Composer: Koichi Sugiyama

In the years after the invasion of Legion, Japan created the Bureau of Paranormal Defense, dedicated to protecting the people from further Kaiju and alien attacks. Unsaid, but still understood among their members, was that the department would also need to find a countermeasure against Gamera should he ever turn Rogue. Not many agree with it, as the opinion about Gamera is tends to divide the people, with some praising him and others condemning him as just another monster.

Unknown to many, General Kenchi Egawa, the man in charge of the Bureau, was approached by an entrepreneur, offering him just what they need; their own Kaiju they can control. Said Entrepreneur, Toru Aizawa, founds Monarch Sciences, from which many new weapons and devices are created to fight against monsters. Unknown to many is that Toru's technology and advances are created from Lemurian Technology which he found in the Atoll where Gamera was first found, along with DNA for another Kaiju which he then proceeds to clone. Using it as the base for further experimentation, he tries to further improve the new monster, as well as create a bond just like the one Gamera had in order to better control it.

Fumiko Yuasa, the child who bonds with the monster, now called Jiger, causes it to rampage as he can see the way they are treating her. Fumiko is rescued by Dr. Miki Serizawa, one of the many Doctors involved in the project, but one that still had a conscience, and taken away. Jiger, now free, continues his rampage and escapes into the night.

Both Genji Kusanagi and Midori Honami manage to find the truth about Monarch Sciences when they meet with both Fumiko and Dr. Miki. In the meantime, Jiger and Gamera fight on different occasion, with Jiger getting stronger each time. The group needs to escape from the pursuit by General Egawa, eventually managing to find information from monarch Sciences, discovering that the bond between Fumiko and Jiger is what's aiding Jiger, by taking Fumiko's lifeforce. Fumiko however finds it hard to break the bond, as Jiger seems to be blocking her from doing so.

Gamera and Jiger continue their fight, but Jiger is now becoming stronger, to Fumiko's detriment as she's dying. The JSDF, following now Genji and Egawa's orders (as he sees that should Jiger win Japan will never be safe) manage to wound him enough for Gamera to finally defeat him. Gamera then destroys the headquarters of Monarch Sciences, having sensed Jiger's energies coming from it.

The movie ends with the rebuilding, with both Genji and Midori wondering if perhaps this may be what pushes Gamera too far.
Captain Genji Kusanagi: A member of the JSDF, and dedicated to finding the truth no matter what gets in his way. A believer that Gamera is on their side, he begins investigating the unusual movements of troops, finding them trying to arrest Midori Honami. After speaking with her, and finding the truth about Jiger's attack, he joins her in trying to stop Monarch Sciences before they go too far.

Played By: Kōsuke Toyohara
Alternate: Koichi Sato

Fumiko Yuasa: The test subject for "Project Mu" in an attempt to replicate the bond Gamera once had with another human, only this time with Jiger. She's a traumatized girl who was full of anger and fear, which caused Jiger to rampage once the bond was established, allowing her to be rescued and escape. She is slightly hopeful afterwards, though sad that Jiger, her one friend, had to die for her to enjoy her freedom.

Played By: Megumi Odaka
Alternate: Miyuki Imori

Midori Honami: She is a curator at the Sapporo Science Center. Always cool under pressure, she never hesitates to do the right thing, even when it puts her in danger. During the time in between attacks, she managed to find odd signatures coming from monarch Sciences, which in a way were similar tot those emitted by Gamera. By looking too deep she was nearly made to disappear, if it wasn't for the intervention of Genji.

During the fights, gamera seems to get more brutal to defeaat Jiger, and showing his anger after his victory by destroying Monarch Sciences headquarters.

Played By: Kenpachiro Satsuma
Alternate: Toru Kawai

Jiger: One of the former Lemurian weapons who was destroyed along with their civilizations. Part of their DNA was found by Monarch Sciences, who proceeded to clone them back and use them as their own monster, controlled by a human bond. Jiger has the ability to evolve after every battle, becoming stronger and changing its body in order to better face its opponent, sapping the lifeforce from the bond.

Played By: Wataru Fukuda
Alternate: Hurricane Ryu
Toru Aizawa: He is the founder of Monarch Sciences, and the "creator" of Jiger. Unknown to many, he launched an expedition to where they found Gamera the first time, finding enough material, and DNA, to reverse engineer the technology, and recreate Jiger once more once they were able to decode the information found.

Played By: Katsuhiko Sasaki
Alternate: Ryo Ishibashi

Dr. Miki Serizawa: One of the scientists in charge of "Project Mu". Due to her constant interaction with Fumiko she made the choice to plan for their escape, however said plans were thrown aside when Jiger rampaged through the facility and then Japan, taking the chance to escape with her and trying to find a place where they could live in peace.

Played By: Anna Nakagawa
Alternate: Vivian Wu

General Kenchi Egawa: One of the members from the Bureau of Paranormal Defense. A man dedicated to the protection of Japan, no matter the cost. Under his orders, "Project Mu" was given the go ahead, keeping all attempt at revealing it quiet. He's a man who despite his acts to kill Dr. Miki or bring Fumiko under custody once more, he nonetheless is no coward, willing to sacrifice himself to protect the people.

Played By: Kenji Sahara
Alternate: Yoshio Tsuchiya
Matsuo: Assistant to Toru Aizawa, he's a man who takes himself too seriously, a man who is easy to fool and persuade, one of the victims of Jiger's first rampage.

James: A reporter and friend from Genji. He came to Japan following some trails about Monarch Sciences, and his death is what sets Genji into finding the truth about what happened.

A.N.: Why is it so hard to find Japanese actors who can play teenage girls in a Kaiju film?! One would think it would be simpler than one would think, but it's harder than it looks! Well, at least finding the other actors is easier, though I may have to think that this film will have to be done in around 87' to 88' if we want to have them. Let's hope this works.

Sarah's Kitten
Sarah's Kitten

Something had changed recently that was very important to Sarah. Ginger cat usually played the waving tail game with Sara and her twin Joseph. Ginger would sit above the crib and wave her tail just out of their reach and let them try and grab it, or just watch them follow it with a smile on her kitty face. It was a very good game and she couldn't remember a time when she hadn't played it. Then, when both Sarah and Joseph were tired from playing, Ginger would come down into the crib, snuggle with them, and keep them warm.

The problem was that Ginger was getting heavier and bigger around the middle, didn't fit onto the edge of the crib, and played the waving tail game less. On the other hand, when she got into the crib with Joseph and Sarah, she was bigger, so there was more warm. Ginger was good at being soft and warm and making nice vibrations. Natale, the Dalmatian, was good at being big and warm but not at making vibrations or being soft. Or getting into the crib. Big sister Mary had to go and get help and then make Mummy stop laughing before they managed to get Natalie unstuck.

Ginger being bigger and not playing the waving tail game wasn't bad. There were other fun games to play, like the magic Kermit box watching one where you were quiet and watched the Kermit box or snuck around so that the people watching the Kermit box didn't notice you. or the one where Mary helped her read a book by reading words while Sarah looked at the pictures and pointed. Or the pretty dancing game Joseph liked. In that one Mary did a dance like Daddy or Brandon and Joseph and Sarah tried to copy. But Ginger being bigger was different, so she asked Mary.

Mary knew lots and lots of things, a vast number of things more than Sarah, like six or so. Six was a really big number. Kermit seemed to think so when he played the Sesame Street counting game. But Ginger getting bigger wasn't one of the things that Mary knew about, so they needed to ask Mommy about it. Mommy is the cleverest, so she knows ten more things than Mary. Sarah thought that Ten was an absolutely Ginormous big number. The count on Sesame Street seemed to think so, as that was the biggest number he usually went to. Mary said there were bigger numbers, but she was the only one who talked about numbers called millions or billions. Kermit and the Count didn't. Mary said to ask Wally about the amount of money Star Wars or Indiana Jones made and went off in a bit of a huff to check on Joseph and do some Pretty Dancing with him. Sarah didn't want to ask about numbers. She wanted to know why Ginger was getting fat.

So Sarah had asked Mommy by herself, well, She actually said, "Mummy Ginger Fat". Mommy was a bit surprised, going to check on Ginger. Then, suddenly Shannon Lee was babysitting them, as Mommy needed to take Ginger needed to visit a special doctor for animals.

----

At dinner, Mummy was saying what had happened, and a disgruntled Ginger sat beneath Mary's chair, glaring at Mummy. Mary said it was because Ginger didn't get a lolly or a sticker, and Mommy said it was because they had to prod and poke Ginger, and she didn't like that. Natalie had a big doggy grin as she watched Ginger Sulk.

Mummy told Mary they had to poke Ginger somewhere uncomfortable to check if she had kittens. Big sister Mary asked if Kitten was like fleas and they had to give Ginger a bath. Natalie had hidden her head under her paws at word Bath. Sarah understood. Bath was not always fun. Bath was too hot to go into and too cold to get out of, and it only happened when you had just gotten yourself appropriately messy, and it undid all that.

Mummy had just laughed and said that kittens meant baby cats. Mary said that Baby Cat wouldn't be fun because babies need a long time to grow big enough to play with. Joseph and Sarah only starting to get funs now and not proper funs like Wally or Brandon. Sarah was insulted. She was proper funs. So she decided to prove it to them by playing the feed Natalie and Ginger game and throwing bits of the meal she didn't particularly like on the floor for them.

----

Ten minutes later, an exhausted Bruce O'Brian walked in the door to a scene of chaos. Food was on the floor. Ginger and Natalie were enthusiastically "Helping "clean up. Mary was wailing about the mess, and throwing food was not a dinner game. Sarah was sulking, refusing to eat the meal while Carrie tried to feed her. Joseph was sitting calmly, unbothered by his surroundings, with a half-empty bowl dripping stuff down his face on his head, picking up beans from his highchair tray between his index finger and thumb one by one.

Bruce sighed, smiled at the look of relief on his wonderful wife's face and went to run a bath.

By the time the Twins Mary, Natalie, Ginger and the kitchen were clean, dry and sorted out properly, it was time for bed. Bruce scrounged the ingredients for a quick sandwich for himself, ate it and climbed into bed facing his wife. No discussion of vet visits or Dune preproduction happened, merely two tired people still very much in love with each other, getting themselves ready for bed and finally allowing themselves to fall into an exhausted sleep facing each other.

Something else changed with Ginger after she got to a ginormous size, bigger than she had ever been before. She kept meowing at and following Mummy when she was home. Mummy didn't like that game much and made a nest for Ginger out of a cardboard box for her to sit in instead. Ginger usually liked cardboard boxes but didn't like this one. Instead Ginger went to funny places around the house. She would try to be in a hidey place all the time. But it had to be in a room that mummy or daddy was in and would leave the room and follow mummy or daddy when they left.

Sarah thought they were not good hidey places because Sarach could see Ginger but not get to her and pet her. Ginger's latest place was a gap between two bookcases in the corner of the room. Sarah could fit her head in the gap, but if she did, her arms wouldn't fit, so she couldn't pet Ginger, which was the point of the game. Ginger would hide, and Sarah would find and pet. Ginger was soft and warm, so petting was fun.

After trying to fit herself for a while, Sarah decided that if Ginger wouldn't let her play Pet Ginger, then Sarah would play another game with someone else. Joseph was having a turn with Kermit, so she decided to see if Mary could play with her instead. Mary usually played good games and could do the Ah ha ha of the count from the Kermit box very well and liked it when Sarah repeated whatever she had said. So Sarah pulled a book off a shelf and bought it to Mary. Mary was playing a reading game herself. She had a ginormous yellow and green book. But it wasn't an interesting book all it had were numbers and diagrams of things in black and white.

"Mary read?" Sarah asked, dragging over her book.

"Hello Sarah. Do you want to read the McMaster-Carr catalogue with me? It has lots of interesting things."

"No. Read Grover." Sarah said, dropping her book across the open catalogue.

Mary looked grumpy, so Sarah smiled at her like Mary did to Mummy and Daddy when she wanted more cake. Mary closed her eyes, turned away, and huffed.

"Pweease." Sara said, making sure to make her eyes extra big and her lip wobble.

Mary huffed again but turned and opened one eye to look.

"Okay. but only once."

"Yay," said Sarah, immediately moving to see the book properly.

"Grover's book of Cute Little Baby Animals by BG Ford and illustrated by Tom Leigh."

Mary read the book, and Sarah looked at the pictures, entranced by the images of small fuzzy things and her sister's voice. This was better than Ginger who wasn't playing the hiding game properly. She felt like she could stay like this forever or at least until the book was finished and it was HER turn with Kermit.

Then, there was a strange high-pitched meowing sound from the bookcases. Ginger didn't make sounds like that. So Sarah abandoned Mary and crawled over to investigate. Ginger was still in the corner between the bookcases but was in a funny, twisted-up position. Sarah still couldn't get in, but she could see Ginger, and now there were some new little things around her.

Ginger moved strangely, and then there was another one. It was black and white, with a burglar mask across its face and its eyes were shut tight. Unlike the other little lumps, it wasn't making a high-pitched mewing sound.

Ginger finished licking it and then turned back to the other lumps. The black and white lump stuck its head up and unsteadily crawled away from Ginger, right into Sarah.

Sarah was delighted. This was a warm, soft being was with these sharp but not cutting things at the end of its feet. And it was Snuggling Her cheek. this was to good to keep to herself. And she wanted a picture to remember it forever or at least next week too. So she needed help.

"Mary." she yelled.

"What Sarah? I am doing readings as good as I can. Why did you go away?"

Sarah felt Mary stomp up behind her and heard an indrawing of breath as Mary could finally see what she could see: the small lumps and the warm thing rubbing itself in Sarah's face .

Mary then yelled excitedly and ran out of the Lounge. "Kittens. Mum, Mum, look Kittens."

Pandemonium ensued. Mary wanted a look. Joseph wanted a look Natalie the Dalmatian wanted a look, and Mummy made Sarah get out of the way before she was ready. Worse, she made Sarah leave HER Kitten behind and had to watch Ginger ignore her and put Sarah's Kitten back into the corner where she couldn't reach or even see.

She was upset. She wanted the little furry thing that had rubbed against her cheek back. It had only been out of sight for a minute, and already she missed it. Sarah's lip wobbled, and then she howled her distress to the world.

----

Crying didn't Get her Kitten back. It did get mommy to cuddle her.

"Yes, Sarah, she is adorable, but she needs to have a drink of milk from her mother now so she can grow up big."

"Mean. Want big now." Complained Sarah

The authoritative voice of her sister answered her "Baby not fun. Must wait till big and help grow properly. That means teach and not play the funnest games until they are big enough to not hurt. It hard work."

Sarah didn't understand why her mother was suddenly laughing. She just wanted her warm furry thing now.

Then Daddy came home and was very surprised there was kittens at all. Silly Daddy.

----

The lounge room had been rearranged. Mommy had cleaned in the corner while Daddy had moved heavy furniture. Ginger now had the corner back but with some additions.

The nest that Mommy made Ginger was now in the corner, and a fence in front kept Sarah and Joseph out. Ginger could still get in and out, and Mommy could get in to change the sandbox and towel thing in front of the bookcase. Still, Sarah couldn't get in to see or hold the kittens, not even her favourite black and white one, which Mummy said looked like a Lamington. Mary said she thought she could get in but wouldn't try because it would be wrong if someone touched the kittens, as it might make Ginger forget they were her kittens.

Sarah thought that was silly and only Mary said that, so Mary read to her from a big book with many words but only a few pictures of kittens that said the same thing. Sarah still didn't think that it was right. HER Kitten, Lamington, had rubbed itself on Sarah's face and Ginger hadn't forgotten who it was. Then Mummy agreed with Mary and Sarah didn't like that much.

Sarah needed to sit on the couch and be high enough if she wanted to see the kittens. Kittens not being a touch game and only a look game made Sarah annoyed because they could be SO much more fun. But it meant she could watch the Kittens from Fort Couch and then go back to watching Kermit and his friends on his Magic box. Watching kittens was fun, but she really wanted to cuddle with them.

----

One of the weirdest things that happened was that Ginger was allowed to eat in the Lounge all the time, not just as a special thing. When she asked why and if she could always eat in the Lounge, Mummy said no, and it was special for Ginger because Ginger needed to stay and keep the kittens warm.

Sarah didn't see the logic. Ginger could bring the kittens to her crib, keep Sarah and Joseph warm, and let Sarah play with the kittens. If Ginger brought the kittens, Ginger could see that they were still hers and wouldn't forget, and Sarah could play with them.

Ginger didn't bring the kittens. Despite how nicely Sarah asked, she stayed in the Lounge in her nest between the bookcases. She had tried the wobbly lip and everything. So Sarah could only play the watch game. It also meant that Ginger wasn't in the crib to cuddle and keep Sarah warm, so she woke up early. When Mommy came to get Mary for breakfast, Sarah stood up and came too. Joseph stayed asleep, so Mommy said he could have breakfast later when he woke up.

Getting up early like Mary had Sarah hear funny things. Like Mommy going I love you to Daddy and Daddy going I know and then Mary going AWW. When she slept in like Joseph, she didn't hear that happen.

After Daddy left, Mommy made breakfast for the people awake. Mommy had Cereal. Sarah had pureed apple. Natalie had dog food. Mary had Cereal and some Brussels sprouts left from last night, and Ginger had cat food. Then Mommy opened the front door so Natalie could go out and made a funny yell. Then Mummy got a dustpan, picked up half a Jerry frm the mat, and put it in the rubbish bin.

"Not good, Mummy?" Mary asked

"No, the half-eaten mouse is not good at all. We have to put it in the Bin."

"Okay, Mummy. Natalie and I talk to Eddie cat then, and he leaves better bail for Ginger.

"Mary?"

"Yes, Mommy?"

"What is an Eddie cat, and why would it be leaving half a mouse for Ginger."

"Grandma have drink and say story of Eddie. That Eddie sing and entertain and leave lady with baby because Coca-Cola want it to happen. "

"Eddie cat Same. Peter lady from down street come and try and steal Ginger. She get stuck in bush when Daddy Yell at her. Then when daddy not there Lady bring Eddie cat. Eddie cat is bad cat. He sing and make Ginger happy but then he sit on her and bite her ears. Then Ginger hit him in face and he run off and find new Cat. Then Ginger get big and have kittens."

"And why is he bringing a mouse now?"

"Because Natalie and I chase him up tree and if he no give good bail then we do it again." said Mary going back to the last of her Brussels.

"Why is Bringing a mouse for Bail money."

Mary finished her sprouts and looked frustrated. "That what it called. Saw on Kermit box. Bad Daddy who doesn't come home and be's Daddy to the wrong people Gives Mummy Bail money to Mommy or Police put him in jail. No police for cats so Natilie and I chase him up tree instead. Cat not have money but can catch mouse. Ginger likes mouse so Eddie cat catch Ginger mouse for Mouse for Bail money."

A complicated expression crossed Mummy's face.

"Mary Dear, some mice are not good for cats to eat. Please don't feed them to Ginger. And don't tell Grandma about Eddie cat yet."

Mary started sadly "Sorry Mommy I already told Grandma. But…" and Mary brightened "Grandma Makes funny faces like you when I tell story too."

A thump at the window, and a large grey cat with folded ears holding a Jerry in its mouth appeared. The cat looked in the window, suddenly panicked, and jumped down again.

"Look Mommy Eddie cat. I tell Eddie cat not to bring more mouses. Natalie come."

Natalie perked up and followed Mary as she raced out of the dining room.

Mummy suddenly looked like she was having a all children need to play quiet games day.

----

"Sarah, would you like to go watch the kittens while I tidy up here?"

"Sarah Watch Lamington Kitten." It looked like mummy was finished making funny faces, so Sarah would do more exciting things. But if today was normal and she missed out on things like this by sleeping in like Joseph, she would get up early tomorrow, too.

When she got to the Lounge, she and climbed onto Fort couch and sat down. From here, she could see the Kermit box and the kittens. She also had Kermit, and as no one else was in the Lounge, she didn't have to share. She might even get Kermit to do his magic and make Lamington appear on his box or, even better, in her lap.

"Kermit Lamington, "she said clearly, and hopefully, she looked towards the Kermit box. No Lamington. Twisting her head the other way, she could see the nest full of sleeping kittens still in the same place.

A thought hit her. She couldn't see Ginger. She looked left and then right, and then there was a thump. A pillow had landed in her lap. A big pillow, which made her a bit stuck.

Then Ginger cat appeared, and there was a kitten in her mouth. A black and white kitten with a coat of intermixed short black fur, flecks of long white fur, a black burglar's mask, and eyes were finally open.

Lamington kitten was out of the nest. Lamington kitten had her eyes open. Her beautiful blue eyes. Lamington kitten was on her lap. Sure Sarah was stuck and couldn't get up to play but she could reach Lamington kitten.

"Hello Lamington. I Sarah."

Ginger put Lamigton down on the cushion trapping Sarah in place

Lamington stood and unsteadily walked over to Sarah and rubbed against her face.

Sarah giggled in delight and petted her back.

If this was the reward for getting up early, Sarah would do it all the time.

----

Ginger sat back satisfied, partially sitting on the now-forgotten Kermit as the TV rolled on unnoticed. The child was looked after, and Kitten was sorted. She turned her head, checked the nest full of other sleeping kittens, and departed. A quick peek into the kitchen showed Carrie had tidied the table and was now attempting to feed Joseph his breakfast.

The Excited shouts of Mary and Natalie from an open door suggested that a certain Cat may have been chased up a tree. Her Ears perked up, which might mean a mouse had been dropped. Worth investigating for a cat with a litter of kittens to feed, especially as mice that she didn't have to hunt herself might suddenly become a scarce resource.

One last glance towards the Lounge, a child and Kitten safely entranced in each other, and Ginger was off. There was a potential mouse with her name on it.
