They would have just interrogate Woodrow for a pardon instead or have him continue his research in a secret gov lab instead of the government having to deal with us where there is a risk of what you are suggesting happening. I'm starting to think we don't leak the formula.

Not if he dies before we make the announcement. If we time it just right he will die very shortly before we make the announcement.

An amusing side effect to Lex doing it hinself would be the fact that his public persona would mature, and hopefully lower the DC to getting him into politics.

I'm thinking we take the risk and then keep spamming background checks on her until we find what she's hiding and then choose how to deal with her from there, although I'm open to doing it yourself, if only for fewer stakes (as we don't have to fire ourselves if we want someone new) and encouragement for us to improve diplomacy (which as I've said before I predict is the battlefield with the heroes which is most likely to go either way).

Also, I think we need to have some patience with Ivo, until these issues become a habit, anyway. We just need to accommodate a Learning Action into all of our plans.
 
If the formula becomes public knowledge, then I suspect it would advantage those with the most resources (i.e. the superpowers), which would put criminal elements at a disadvantage, which can be good or bad for us. It would also cause a crisis in gender equality as this may derail plenty of say, reporters interviewing the opposite gender, which I guess would disproportionate affect female journalists (as right now there are more men in powerful positions) although that could be solved by wearing gas masks. And of course, far more instability at least until an effective counter-agent is made. But instability could be very profitable for us as a weapons company, plus many more opportunities and the risks that come with those opportunities would open up for us to build influence and look good solving crises.

If we start work on a cure right away that could be a justification for not releasing the pheromones right away, we wanted to avoid further chaos and abuse.

I say we take Miranda Tate because we can just do a background check to see what is off.

For the leak, I don't think we should let this mind manipulating spray become known to anyone outside our organization, especially not after King crimson's clarifications/warnings.
 
For ones who want to make journals public knowledge

This pheromone is our first step into plant-based pharmaceuticals. This intrigue action became more like a learning action. Would you make our own discovery public knowledge just to improve our PR? This is the same thing.

If QM didn't say that Pamela doesn't care, I would consider realizing the information. As it is, I prefer to keep a useful tech for ourself. You also seem to forget that journals have information not only about pheromones but also about this -
Woodrue was researching a way to integrate human and plant life together but he simply wasn't smart enough to figure out how to do so on his own

If Pamela doesn't care either way, I suppose keeping it to ourselves for study may be useful. We would need to take a lot of precautions to ensure no one else caught wind of it though. As for the PR, I'd prefer Luthor do it himself than allow someone who may very well be Talia Al Ghul to do it for us.
 
Also regarding Ivo I think we should pencil in at least one learning action from now on since it's the only thing he is not useless in

Just re-watched MattPatt's Film Theory on Corruption of Superman to better think about how to deal with what the Planet would likely do when they heard about the leak. But the video also pointed out A Lot of very sketchy stuff and I promptly lost interest in what the Planet will do cause they'll likely just make fake news anyways. If the Daily Planet is as corrupt as seen in the movies, I don't know whether to make a rival paper with someone with Journalistic Integrity like JJJ from Spiderman or buying the Planet and forcing them to follow the Journalistic Code of Ethics.

I think that perhaps the most striking thing we could do in the eyes of Clark (considering it's his workplace where he spends much of his life) to make him question our morality (as well as the greatest of ironies) is make the Planet a better, more ethical newspaper despite any biases we slip in. :V
