we should send Raven to Darkseid jk
The only reason I can think of why this would be a bad idea is that Darkseid might manage to have Granny Goodness or some such brainwash her into an agent of his own will, send her back to Earth to help recover the Anti-Life Equation, and then Trigon unleashes Hell on Earth while simultaneously we have Darkseid's minions to worry about. :p

that would probably end the debate who would win between him and Trigon at least
I am heartily in favor of resolving this debate, as long as we are standing comfortably outside the blast radius.

That's not really a close one.

Maybe we should be thinking of her in those terms. Powerful magician or not, if she's the gateway a gigantic menacing demon uses to turn everyone into statues, then it might be advisable for us to relocate her to some spot that leaves us comfortably outside the blast radius.

Only issue is...she's the only one that can beat him too. So if she ends up on another planet in this universe...we could get caught in the crossfire and die without warning.

So people are stating a bunch of stuff about Trigon which don't really hold true. He is an equivalent to Satan (he is brothers with Belial who is a member of the Triumvirate of Hell) and he isn't Galactus because he ends universes because he wants to, not because he has to. Also he isn't quite on the level of The Presence and Endless still beat him out. However I figured I'd do my best to clarify what he is without getting into technicalities by just stating what he does. here is my answer

Trigon is virtually immortal (he has never been successfully killed only banished or imprisoned). He never manages to bring his full power to bear in a fight since he needs to reach earth through a gateway (Raven). His go to move once he arrives on earth is to, with a fraction of his power, turn every living being that he can (including heroes like Wonder Woman, Hawk, Dove and Dr. Fate) to stone in an instant. His goal is to end all life because he finds ending all life amusing.

Putting all of that together means he is a nigh-unkillable, planet level reality warper, who is even more powerful when not forcing himself through a gate and is omnicidal. He isn't at the first or second tier of power (The Presence and The Endless) but he reaches the third tier of power which belongs to gods and incredibly powerful demons and angels (he is about as strong as a member of the triumvirate of hell which puts him in the upper echelons of power). He is very bad news. He isn't Satan but he has the power equivalent to him. If he ever gets out of the pocket dimension in which a society of thousands of incredibly powerful magic users trapped him in everything in his general area is going to die fast. Hope that explains things and explains what Trigon is without spoiling things.

For a terrifying point of comparison consider the following. The Spectre is one of the most powerful DC heroes but he is weaker than Trigon by a significant margin. The Spectre is strong enough to go toe to toe with Lords of Order and Chaos and win. A Lord of Chaos or Order is significantly stronger than Superman if they unleash their full power. How much stronger is Superman than the average person?

That little thought experiment should give a chilling look at just how strong Trigon really is.
I recall that in one of the injustice comic Trigon and Mr. Mxyzptlk fought and were so equally matched their fight was going to rip the universe apart. Would you say that's a good comparison to how strong you plan trigon to be

No. Injustice is its own weird little pocket thing. Mr. Mxyzptlk cannot win against a full power Trigon. Trigon cannot end universes willy-nilly. He can exterminate and destroy universes but it takes time.

I imagine Trigon could end a universe in about a week if left unopposed. Unless his fight tool literal decades don't expect it to end universes. Trigon is a reality warper not a reality shredder. Does that clarify things?

Trigon vs Darkseid? I'm not really sure which way you're falling on this.

Darkseid has some hilariously poor showings, obviously, and appeared weak at various times but it's important to remember the Darkseid most of us are used to seeing is like a handpuppet for the insanely huge New God Darkseid who is the anthropomorphic personification of tyranny, and that New God has actually killed Zeus, moved planets and mind-controlled everyone on planets, etc.

Yes thank you

So I'm going to weigh in on this one as well. Trigon vs. Darkseid is hands down the most misleading fight ever because neither of them fights at 100% full power on a mortal plane. Trigon can more easily set himself loose on the mortal plane but Darkseid is the more cunning strategist. Furthermore both of them are esoteric beings who are singularities who are hard to kill. The conditions of the fight are incredibly important to determining who would win.

For example, a Trigon that is actively being held back would lose to the Darkseid that manifests in an earth. However a Trigon that is significantly loose and nearing full power stomps Darkseid's avatar. Darkseids true form likewise can defeat a Trigon not at full power. Lastly while full power Trigon is stronger than Darkseid he has no way of reliably killing Darkseid. As such three outcomes can occur. Darkseid eventually wears down Trigon and manages to kill him (since killing demons is way more straightforward than killing gods but still unlikely due to power disparity), Trigon eventually figures out how to kill Darkseid (super unlikely as Trigon doesn't really learn or adapt and has no real need to do so) or they fight each other for all of eternity and destroy realities in the wake of their endless conflict (the most likely outcome). The main problem in a fight between those two is that neither one has a way to reliably kill the other.

Most of these scenarios require the world to have already ended for them to have happened. Needless to say if Darkseid vs. Trigon happens you all lose regardless of what the actual outcome is. If you absolutely have to give them a fight to the death I give Darkseid better odds since he is a better manipulator and planner than Trigon and thus can adapt to outside factors better and can stall long enough for something to mess with Trigon. In a one on one fight where they both know how the other works Trigon beats Darkseid hands down (note that this is a scenario that is highly unlikely to happen). In a true one on one with only the knowledge they are displayed to have in comics it is likely to be an endless stalemate.

Out of curiosity king crimson you said that trigon would beat mr mxyzptlk in a fight. How do you rank the power of imps from the fifth dimension in the grand scheme of things?

Musical Number: The Last Incursion's Manifesto
So I got bored and wrote an Atrocitus song. I hope you all enjoy it. Let me know if you can think of improvements to it. I enjoyed writing this and I'm curious if people would like to see more content like this from me.

The Last Incursion's Manifesto

The Bull in the ring sets our hearts ablaze
We'll stay silent no more
The old order will be washed away
Watch as it falls before the Red Lantern Corps!

Cast aside your heart and soul
There's only the goal
Only the wrath

Beasts seeing red
Guardians will be dead
That is our path

Cut a swathe through space
Paved in blood and gore
Rise in anger Red Lantern Corps!

Destroy those who ruined our worlds
Teeth bared, claws unfurled
Blood will flow, like a rich man's wine
Finally vengeance will be mine!

My hour is nigh
I'll wipe out the Guardians the I abhore
Vengeance from on high
Behold my Red Lantern Corps!

Cut a swathe through space
Paved in blood and gore
Rise in anger Red Lantern Corps!

From space, I'll purge the Maltusian race
You will watch me settle the score
Feel the rage of Oa's mistakes
Scream now for the Red Lantern Corps!

Felicity Smoak organized the conference room one more time, ensuring that each seat had a small packet on the table in front of it. This was going to be her first real "project" with LexCorp, and she wanted everything to go well. When she first came to the company, she was very curious as to how LexCorp was able to revolutionize so many industries in so short a time. Part of the reason, she'd decided, was something she'd never heard of being used: Lex "projects". Thanks to LexCorp being privately owned, there was no need for the constant search for profit. So Lex would, every now and then, place a huge amount of resources in the hands of one of his employees with the general directive to "improve this field/industry". And then, let them go for an undefined amount of time.

It was crazy, shouldn't work...but it did. The results spoke for themselves. And now, Felicity was given her own project: to "improve computers". Whatever that meant. Well, she had her own ideas, including massive improvements to the thing that was developing into the information superhighway. She wasn't going to fail, and so she'd prepared for the first meeting for the project. When her team leads walked into the conference room, she was reminded that she still wasn't fully immersed into LexCorp culture because she noticed something weird and had no explanation for them: her team leads wore white labcoats (which was normal) with various patches on them (which was not).

Not wanting to waste time, Felicity just put that into the back of her mind and continued on her presentation. At the end she asked "Okay. Any questions?"

There was a pause before a hand sheepishly raised up.

"Oh. Didn't expect anyone to raise their hand: we're a team. Just ask your question."

...
...
...
"Okay. Dr. Stone. You had a question?" Felicity asked after the doctor didn't know what to do when Felicity told him not to raise his hand.

"Yes. What will our mission patch be?"

"I'm sorry? Mission patch?"

"You know- our patch." he said while pointing to a circular patch circling...was that a Dr. Seuss character?

Felicity shook her head.

"I'm sorry. I don't understand- why do you need a patch?"

...
...
...
Another hand was raised.

"Okay- Dr. Thomas."

"Well, its tradition. When we do a Lex project, we get a patch. I have a Thing 1 patch from my work on the rideable rocket-"

Oh. THAT was where Roxy got that thing.

"-and also this flowering patch for my work on the fast grow project."

They really needed a handbook for project leads.

"So, you all want patches? For doing your job?"

"Yeah. Maybe of a highway with a cape or something?"

Felicity sighed to herself.

"Okay. We'll get patches. I'll whip something up. But, any questions about the project to revolutionize the computer industry?"

No one raised their hand. Instead, the group got up and walked out the door.

Felicity could hear some of her team leads talking about the potential design of the future patch.

She just sighed. Well, it was something she'd deal with later- and she was NOT going to let her project be defined by a stupid highway with a cape. But first, she had more important things to do.

A good amount stronger than Superman but weaker than a full power Lord of Order or Chaos. However unlike most high level beings fifth dimensional entities don't really have to worry about a counterbalancing force and can brign their full might to bear whenever they choose to do so.

Non-canon omakes are some of my favorites for how they can poke fun at the setting. This is non-canon but it is a lot of fun. You've earned 200 exp and the King crimson patch of approval.

It depends on how big a deal Darkseid is. Yes, Superman can sometimes beat Darkseid in a fistfight on the sheer power of his Heroic Resolve, but it's always presented as him being the clear underdog, Sueprman never realy defeats him in a lasting way and in @King crimson 's "DC Quest Universe," from what I've heard so far, Darkseid is presented as being, well, literally a god, in a more meaningful sense than just "can win fistfights with Superman."

I'm not going to assume that he'd be a pushover for Trigon, especially not in this new continuity where power scaling is a bit wiggly at the high end and doesn't always follow everyone's expectations.

Only issue is...she's the only one that can beat him too. So if she ends up on another planet in this universe...we could get caught in the crossfire and die without warning.
If we keep Raven right next to us, we could die in the crossfire even if Raven wins one of these recurring fights with Daddy. If she loses, we are extra double plus oompa-loompa-doopity-screwed.

If Raven is on the other side of the universe, the only way we die, realistically, is if Raven loses the fight, AND IF Trigon manages to hack through all the other heavy hitters in the universe who would have an interest in the universe not being destroyed. To my way of thinking, it is not a foregone conclusion that he can succeed in doing so, even given that he's a massively powerful "third-tier" entity who is categorically below only the Endless and the Presence.

Most of these scenarios require the world to have already ended for them to have happened. Needless to say if Darkseid vs. Trigon happens you all lose regardless of what the actual outcome is.
Yeah, go figure.

In any event, Raven sounds like the kind of person that a fully aware Lex Luthor would want stranded in a pocket dimension or alternate Earth that was effectively impossible to access from the ordinary universe he occupies- or vice versa.

I mean I don't want her next to us either. I'm just saying. Having her elsewhere could be dangerous as we die via collateral damage.
Well yes, but it sounds like she's basically one of those "precarious thing keeping a horrible abomination from eating the universe" scenarios from the more bullshit-tier imaginings of the SCP Foundation. We're at the point of "high risk of horrible death or low risk of horrible death, choose your poison" choices here.

What happens if she dies of non-Trigon-related causes? Does it free Trigon to enter our universe, or does it prevent Trigon from entering our universe?

wasn't one of the reason she even had the courage to stand up to Trigon was her friends (I remember her being scared of Trigon)
Thinking like Lex Luthor, this isn't a very good argument for NOT sealing her up in a pocket dimension or alternate universe where Trigon won't be able to follow her 'gateway' back to our own universe.

Raven beating Trigon isn't really a long term solution to the Trigon problem unless Raven can somehow become powerful enough to kill or at least permanently seal away Trigon (which sounds unrealistic).

Raven either continuing her clashes against Trigon in another universe entirely, or worst case losing and dooming another entirely different universe instead of ours, is a longer-term solution, though still unsatisfactory given the goal of minimizing existential risk.

OK, but relying on Raven and the confidence she gets from The Power of Teamwork as our sole defense against the universe-killing abomination is...

Let's call that Plan Z. And continue working on Plans A through Y.

I mean...I don't think those plans are possible. If we can make plans to beat Trigon, we've beyond won. Like we're so powerful, everything else is inconsequential.
