We do not have the time to tutor Marie, given how many important actions there are for us to take that demand the usage of our better hero units (also, given Karl's current mental state, I suspect he wouldn't be too happy playing tutor when he could instead be working on his serum and Mari isn't all that good when it comes to Learning). We're going to have to make due with using omake exp to raise her Learning).

Also, we really should consider looking for a replacement PR representative, as Marie won't be fixed for that role in time before Superman shows up and by that time having her as PR representative is going to be problematic. Reassign her to some other position and do another round of PR representative hiring (ideally, we can spare one or two hero units on this and recruit someone who actually has a good Diplomacy stat and good Intrigue as well)

... I wonder
If we put another action into AI creation and assign everyone to it (in the same vein as AMAZO,) could we create a stable AI and just digitise Ivo mind when his body packs up?

Since I don't think we will finish AMAZO in 3-4 turns... (The time he's got left if memory serves)

We missed out on Freeze ugh that is annoying as he would help us churn through our learning actions. We also need to make sure not to take as many high DC actions so that we can put our heroes on them more effectively. Also Darkside... great Intergang needs to die. Hopefully the League can kill Whisper before they activate the doomsday scenario.

Okay, since Darkseid might get involved, we need our own Captain Atom fast, because if Superman can sometimes fight a Darkseid avatar, a Captain Atom might do so as well.
It sounds like they're still well short of Darkseid actually getting involved directly, but even one of his first tier of minions directly below him would be Bad News for us as we are now. So yes.

it's stated in the results he got the trait that it worked when working with tech far beyond human level. it isn't stated on his character sheet
@King crimson , would you mind patching that in, in that case?

Also, does that mean "far beyond the level of what humanity as a whole has" or "far beyond what LexCorp has," because especially now that we've got alien tech and are making serious progress in out-there directions like AI and combat lasers, those aren't the same thing...

We might be able to talk Emily Rice into doing it some turn when Jinx is otherwise occupied and she probably wouldn't make a lot of progress by herself. Rice's Learning is great, and she's clearly competent at adult education but also remedial, so yeah.

Also, we really should consider looking for a replacement PR representative, as Marie won't be fixed for that role in time before Superman shows up and by that time having her as PR representative is going to be problematic. That's fair. What do you suggest the reassignment *to?*

I agree. If this keeps up the only thing she will be useful at is get along with Ivo.
I mean, she still has Intrigue 15 and a Diplomacy around 11 or so; she's not useless.

... I wonder

Mind digitization is in fact a component of the A.M.A.Z.O. project. We could try to push that harder through the project.

And if I remember @King crimson rightly, it was less like 3-4 turns and more like 3-4 years.

Karl sounds like he really needs a therapy session.
Oh hell yes.

We missed out on Freeze ugh that is annoying as he would help us churn through our learning actions. Depending on where Whisper is, she may well actually be a pretty easy target for the US government to just drop the brute squad on. Plus she has serious powers so best to be careful.

Vincent Edge in Santa Prisca is more like an assassin target. Bruno Mannheim is a toughie simply because we really don't know much about the situation in Markovia.

Is it wrong that I am not too worried about super-man showing up? I know he will be a pain in the backside but we have got the rights to a lot of kryptonite and also have people studying magic which if I remember right he doesn't deal well with.

Not really. Besides, we barely did anything illegal.

Okay y'all get this, we form the justice league. It'll be awesome crossover event we'll form to deal with the big bad and hopefully not disband but probably will but still be awesome.

Y'know, get in contact with Diana and Batman and the old JSA folks and all the heroes and shit and hopefully the league of assassins too but maybe not if they can't work together. Just get em all and get everyone set up to go at intergang in one megastrike with just all the heroes and our hero units stacked hard on that one offensive.

@King crimson can we do something like that?

The only way I can see us getting Victor know is taking a trip to Gotham, which might not be a bad thing all things considered.

Welp. Whisper has gotta get dunked on ASAP and probably Bruno and Edge for good measure if she left some kinda backup. Though I honestly doubt Edge has access.

At first I was worried Whisper was in Avruskin's turf, but looking it up Markovia is actually west of Luxembourg near France and Germany.

What's i think Is best about learning about where inter gang is hiding is once we tell our government buddies we could potentially get a get of jail free for invading a foreign country card out of it

@King crimson

In real life there are only seven countries with territory north of the Arctic Circle: Canada, the US (Alaska), Greenland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia. So is Whisper in Russia? Because that gives us a whole 'nother layer of problem.
Whisper is in Markovia if I am remembering right. Bruno is near the North Pole in unclaimed territory.
@King crimson
shouldn't Ivo's alien engineer trait have activated on improve AI since it is a learning action? idk if it will make much if any diference but i thought i should mention it
Edit: i just reread the trait in the results, on his page it doesn't mention the more advanced than humanity bit so probebly not
It was an error that I forgot to mention the far beyond humanity bit. It did trigger though even if it wasn't enough to shift the results by much. I've gone and corrected things. The AI now has a slightly longer time before descending into madness. Thank you for pointing out my mistake

I've patched it

Far beyond what is available to the average US citizen (which I am aware isn't the best metric for the world but it is the societal measure that requires the least math for me and thus the least chance of me making errors which is why I use it) is what triggers it.
And if I remember @King crimson rightly, it was less like 3-4 turns and more like 3-4 years
It was 3-4 years. Meaning Ivo is guaranteed to die by turn 24-28. He could die earlier but that is the projected period of how long you will have maximum.

@King crimson can we do something like that?
You can certainly try to do so. Batman is notoriously hard to contact and most of the JSA folks are old but it is possible to do something along those lines. The real question I'd ask is that if Whisper feels cornered what's to stop her from activating her contingency that could threaten the planet? You have to take her down fast or things will get messy.

We need league of Assassins and a small squad by Wonder woman of heavy hitters. Two different targets, two different units attacking each.

We should take prepare everything next turn, execute the following turn. This has gotta step up to be our number 1 priority.

We can put Karl on testing bone growth on those inmates

@King crimson: Oh right, can we get those trapped Intergang members to betray Intergang and join us? Empowering people who are our enemies is bad, since either we get ourselves Meta-Human enemies or we waste perfectly useful Metas by having to put them down.

Oh, actually, would we be capable of subjecting at least a few to both Plant & Bone Serums? If we got test subjects nobody cares about, and whose choices are either "rot/die here" or "join LexCorp"... surely we can spare a few for the combined Serum?

Karl was interested in combining Plant Integration and Bone Growth, after all. Plus, it would make him a lot stronger than just Bone Growth by itself, and ideally we'll want to eventually give Pamela the Bone Growth Upgrade as well.

Non-canon omake: Unexpected Visit Part 1
Here we go, the Cassandra and Teen Titans omake. As a test run of future Cassandra I'll only include her and not her team to keep it simple and ease you readers into it. I'll also use the Teen Titans roster from the cartoons cause they are the best and I know that version the best.

Unexpected Visit, Part 1

"You are sure he is in Jump city?"

"Who do you think I am?! Of course he's here, look, this is from yesterday."

You can see a boy with a ski mask make clones of himself to rush an armored car at a during a bank drop and lift it off the ground and literally run away with it out of sight of the street camera.

"That was yesterday and so far the Titans haven't been able to catch him. If you want to recruit him you'll need to corner him or something but you'll probably need help from the Titans or get me access to police alarms to let you know of any break ins. But since you and the Big Boss upstairs don't want anything obviously illegal to ruin our rep, we are limited to asking the locals really nicely."

It has been a while since I last met with Robin, it would be a good time to catch up. Of course the last time we met was outside our secret identities at a Wayne charity party several months back before he decided on leave the nest, as it were.

"Hang on, there appears to be a bank robbery a few blocks to the south east. A guy in a powered suit with a light bulb on his chest is shooting lasers to melt through a bank vault. You can bet the Titans will be there so that might be your que to show them up.

A video is displayed in my Lexphone of a man in a white suit with a lightbulb currently robbing a bank by using a laser to cut a hole in the vault. Then the video is minimized and a map of my position with a route to the bank in the video is displayed.

"Your welcome, by the way. Also if you see the Titans, tell that metal head that I'm still waiting for that recording for him saying what I want him to say for losing that online fighting tournament."

With the call ended I make my way to the bank in question. As I got there I can hear that Doctor Light is currently fighting the Titans. While my primary objective is to get Billy Numerous and if possible recruit him, getting information on this villain's suit for Lexcorp to study would be a nice present for Father's Day. Stealing the suit itself, just scanning it to get its schematics, or if possible get him to work for Lexcorp after he served in prison of course, would be great.

Well, I should help the Titans in finishing this, the faster he is defeated, the faster I can talk to Robin for help with Numerous and the less likely for the suit to be damaged. With that in mind I sneaked up to the ceiling, cloaking field and sticking boots and gloves on, and walked to over the villain of the day.

Once I saw that the Doctor is surrounded and directly below me, I decloaked and dropped right on top of him and with a nice application of my taser gloves to his face, he is out like a light. Hehe, I should make puns more often, might as well enjoy myself after how long it took to learn language.

Just before I stand up I discretely stick a scanner on Gizmo made on Doctor Light's chest with my left hand before slowly lowering him, face down, on the floor to hide the palm sized scanner as it does its thing. To give the scanner more time to do it's job I happily wave at Robin and engage in distracting him and his team.

"Hello Robin~ nice to see you again~ it has been so long."

I can see the 2 boys are looking at their leader in confusion, the dark girl with the hood looked at her leader in question with what I imagine to be a raised eyebrow, and the red head is currently fake smiling with gritted teeth. Oh how interesting~

I walked up to Robin, put my finger to his chin, and sensually move it around.

"So are you going to introduce me to your friends?~"

No reactio- wait I see a tiny blush. Score 9 to 0, I smile wider to let him know that his mask isn't as airtight as he would have wanted which irritates him some more.

We were interrupted by the red head, who slipped in between is and takes the hand touching Robin's face in her hand and shakes it in false cheerfulness.

"Greetings friend, I am Starfire it is very nice to meet a friend of Robin's."

Aww how cute, she wants to protect him from my corrupting influence. Time to add fuel to the fire.

"Hello to you too, you can call me Lioness it is nice to see Robin's friends in person. It has been a while since we have last seen each other, Robin. You promised you'd write~." And a cute pout for good measure.

"We only met once." Oh Robin how much has that stick of yours has grown while we were away. While technically true that we have met once, we have meet multiple times as our secret identities before that. Mostly at charity parties before a villain is dumb enough to try and rob it. It is surprising how many charity balls in Gotham got attacked by villains, you'd think the charity holders would have change to a different city by now given how many charities gets attacked there.

"And it was a wonderful first meeting, chasing criminals together, fighting side by side against a criminal mastermind in a deadly dance, and then parting ways with a kiss? its almost like a date. Don't lie, you had a good time too~" Seductive smile no.4, hushed voice, and what Roxanne called "Do me" eyes, which is unfortunately being covered by my helmet.

"What are you doing here?" No reaction? well he is bound to develop an immunity to my charms eventually, like antibiotics you can't use it all the time or else the germs start to become immune to it. His team on the other hand, isn't as immune to my charms.

"I can't come and visit a fellow hero at his place of work?" Flutter my eyelashes, ah there is that tick mark. Still got it. Oh the scanning is complete.

I walk back to the unconscious criminal and after I handcuff him, slip my right hand to his chest to grab the scanner while feigning to lift him up and carry him on my shoulder.

"If must know, I am asking your permission to find a metahuman called Billy Numerous, he has the power to clone himself which can be dangerous if left unchecked." Now I have their attention.

"He stole a lot of stuff when he walked into my team's jurisdiction, we almost got him but we chased the a clone and thus when he was cornered he simply dispelled himself and got away. My Tech expert tracked him to Jump City so I am here to help catch him while my team holds the fort back home." Ah here is the police as I walk over to them to drop him in the prison van, I pocket the scanner and attach a hidden tracker on the suit in case the scan data isn't enough.

"Here you go officers, here is my number if you need me to be present for the court hearing." I gave them my business card before turning to face the Titans.

"So are you going to introduce me to the rest of your team?"

AN: This feels like a good cut off point. I really wanted to include a fight scene but it just doesn't fit with this segment given how OP Cassandra is going to be. I have part 2 1/3 done due to trying to include the fight scene so that should be up sometime this week. Part 2 will have a fight scene, which is a spar between Cass and the Titans in 1v5. Part 3 will be them catching Billy and then they part ways. If you have any complaints, let me know and I'll see if I could rectify it.

For those of you curious to what Cass is wearing, she is wearing a body suit made out of Ivy's plant armor as a base, with bits and pieces of armor like like in Robin's costume when he joined the dark side. Those metal bits have been engraved with runes of durability that can allow it to stand up to laser fire without melting. Combo this with her body reading, means she can block or deflect bullets like Wonder Woman while tanking laser and plasma shot. The Gloves and boots are made out of the skin of the Nemean Lion and enchanted with runes that increase the users strength and durability allowing Cass to punch and jump as hard as Superboy. And lastly located in her chest plate is a Rune of regeneration to heal her mid combat. All of these runes are activated with a mental image. She wears a metal Lion head like a helmet which covers the top half of her face and a lower jaw with decorative metal fangs that can deploy a bullet-proof screen to completely seal the helmet. The helmet also activate night vision or thermal imaging. In the palm of the gloves, Gizmo added a conductive layer that is connected to a battery embedded in the fore arm armor resulting in taser gloves. Finally she also has a utility belt for holding smoke pellets, flash bangs, knock out gas, her custom Lexphone with a hacking suite, and a grappling hook.

The magic runes used in Cass's suit are inspired by Bazzett Fraga Mcremitz from Fate/Prisma Illya. She would not be too out of place in DC and would probably be equal to Deathstroke.
