@King crimson: So does Lex already know about the murders? Also, could you clarify a bit more how he views Mercy, Pamela, and Anthony? I'm thinking of writing an omake, about Lex pondering what to do about a possible successor.

I might have used the word framed wrong. Someone managed to make it look like you killed the assassins in captivity in such a way that indicated you knew about Ra's all along and we're challenging him. ??? was deliberately trying to start a war between you and Ra's and has for the most part succeeded. Killing them in police custody ensured that it would be broadcasted by the news asap (leaving them in an alley would cause a time delay) and thus Ra's would swiftly receive the message.

The goal of ??? with the killing and the message was not to fool the public (they still don't know what's going on) but to fool Ra's (in which they have succeeded in making him think you were responsible and are calling him out).

You also lost any bonus turning them in might have given to your reputation with the authorities since the assassins were killed before the police could actually do anything with the prisoners.
Well, atleast we know there's a third party. Heres' hoping that Ras, after doing some investigation on who we are, figures that this REALLY isn't our MO, and we'd have no reason to send the message this way.
(I mean, why would WE care if there was a time delay on our message to him?)

Lex knows of the murders but he doesn't fully understand the motive behind the murders or the mechanics of how the murders actually occured (there will be an option to investigate it).

Lex trusts Mercy and she generally is the most positive relationship he has. They have been spending time with each other for years and the relationship is almost familial. Lex kind of views Mercy as a very useful person whom he is fond of and he actually trusts her to get things done for him. He does feel she is a follower though not a leader like himself

Lex doesn't know Pamela all that well. He views her as intelligent and intense about her passions but still naive in a few key ways. Her ideas have merit but she tends to get so caught up in her cause that she doesn't fully think through the logistics. Furthermore she is easy to lead and mold in whatever image Luthor wants her to take as he can play on her desperate desire for recognition and saviour complex towards nature to manipulate her to becoming who he wants her to be.

Lex doesn't personally like Ivo. He acknowledges that the man is useful and is genuinely a genius but also views him as a foolish pompous blowhard who relies on individuals like Lex to actually get things done. He has clear obsessions for Lex to exploit and so long as he remains useful Lex will tolerate the dying scientist.

@King crimson write in idea?

The write-in is rejected because it matches an option I already am putting in the next action vote.

@King crimson I too have a write in idea.
[ ] Meditate
You have never been religious, but recent scientific literature suggests a link between meditation and certain mental and physiological benefits. Meditate and see what it can do for you.

One day we will have an action list of 100+ :V
You joke, but the list of actions you could take in the last action phase had a little over 75 options. I'm adding at least twenty more (I'm also taking away a few). You'll likely have 100+ actions to choose from in either the next vote or the one after that. Honestly once Superman arrives I wouldn't be too surprised if you had 300+ options to choose from in your action phase.

Yay! Also, would this option be a viable way into the occult? Even if it needs a massive crit to do so?

The funny also doubles as horror. :V

We need to like clone Lex for Lex to do what Lex will need to do.

@Erumpet: Given LexCorp actually did make revolutionary prosthetics that are equally as functional as normal human limbs, we probably should draw attention to it. Space is something too far off in the future for anyone in-universe to take seriously.

Otherwise yeah, covering L-Phones and the Environment are good points. Remind Lois that we seriously revolutionized society in just three months, draw attention to Pamela's genius, and when Lois inevitably doubts we're going green- immediately prove her wrong with Turn 3.
So a focus that I wanted in the interview was to look to the future instead of dwelling on our past accomplishments I wanted to send a clear message that we are not resting on our laurels. Also the more we focus on the past the more opportunity's Lois will have to ask questions about past things we may not want to talk about. (our father for example). If I thought then we were going to continue upgrading our prosthetics then I would have considered using them as the closer but as I see the next step for our prosthetics is making them weapon grade which we probably will not sell to the public

Can we beat the accusation of us murdering those assassins in prison by logic with something like "Why would I want to kill those assassins when I was the one to turn them over to the authorities? I would be the number 1 suspect immediately. I have a vested interest to not to be put in jail and murdering prisoners seems like a very fast way to put myself in the line of fire. I gain nothing from their deaths so once they are in police custody I do not have a sudden urge to kill them where their deaths can be seen by the public."
I considered that argument but it leads to the implication that if we wanted them dead we would have done so quietly, we don't want people to think we kill people at all and since Lois lane does not like us she may try to twist that our words into that.

Considerations for the Future
@King crimson: Right, so... here goes nothing I guess.

Considerations for The Future
Things went very wrong, and Lex Luthor didn't know why. With the remaining assassins so brutally murdered in police custody, any halfwit against him would use it as "evidence". Though that isn't what truly bothers him, when there's always some fool trying to make him look bad...

No, what bothers him is the fact someone deliberately wants him and this "Ra's Al Ghul" to fight. The fact Lex Luthor doesn't know why is just infuriating... Still, getting those answers will be easy enough, even if annoying to do so.

But, even though he always acts like everything is going well or was deliberately planned for... Lex Luthor couldn't help being bothered just a little. Having assassins sent after him? No big deal, bound to happen eventually.

Yet... Lex Luthor knows many things, but couldn't immediately figure out how those assassins even died in police custody. This isn't Gotham after all, and he certainly would of known if there were dirty cops.

Just the thought of some unknown individual with power like him, deliberately wanting Lex to throw his resources and employees to combat this... "League of Assassins" utterly infuriates him.

Deep breathes... "I mustn't get carried away with theories, for all I know the ones responsible merely wanted to expose Ra's Al Ghul. Perhaps they can be reasoned with, if they hate that man so much?"

... Lex was just angered by the thought he was dismissed as merely someone's pawn, his plan ruined out of sheer disregard! Could those idiots have not waited until the FBI and CIA were tracking down their employer!?

Knowing Miss Lane, she'll likely try to convince people he illogically had them killed to send a message! If he wanted to do that, he would of convinced them to betray Ra's Al Ghul so he could personally obliterate him from this planet!!

... "Focus, getting angry means making stupid mistakes, and I'm Lex Luthor. The Cellphone King, the man who revolutionized LexCorp in just six months, and the future savior of humanity."

Having calmed down, Lex Luthor began thinking things over. Regardless of who was responsible and the disruption Ra's Al Ghul may pose, it wasn't a bad idea to have someone readied to act on Lex's will.

Mercy was the first to immediately come to mind, but... Much as he genuinely trusts her, even fond of her, she's ultimately nowhere near his genius. Oh sure, she could manage directing the employees well and follow his instructions...

But that arrogant fool, Anthony Ives, would never listen to her. Honestly, if things were different, Lex would of immediately rejected the man... But his robotics expertise should prove useful.

Just the thought of employing advanced robots got Lex's mind whirling with the possibilities. Machine soldiers so real lives wouldn't have to be wasted, mechanical laborers who would work 24/7, of sending them to explore the ocean depths and other planets...

Still, putting Ives in charge would see LexCorp collapse within the year, all so he could indulge his obsessions. There's a fine distinction between a genius, and an idiot with knowledge above his station.

Now, Pamela Isley on the other hand... She's brilliant, if not quite on Lex's level. She's also too naive, doesn't fully think things through yet... While protecting the planet he lives on is preferable, Miss Isley might just unwittingly ruin LexCorp.

"Still... She does have potential, so molding her into a suitable stand-in is far easier than Ives. Might be best to have Pamela and Mercy work together, if I ever need to disappear for a while."

Ultimately though, it was all mere considerations... Lex Luthor has no intention of dying or disappearing. Besides, with the amount of effort he'll need to spend, be easier just having a kid and grooming them.

"Hmm, maybe I should focus more on biological research? Literally creating the perfect heir... Heiress, best to avoid any sons myself. Perhaps Lena? I did want a sister with that name..."

Whatever the case, he has an interview with Lois Lane to prepare for. Hmm, maybe he should woo her sister, just out of spite? No, there are better ways to embarrass Lois...

And it's good! Congrats on the 500 exp, considerations for the future is accepted as a canon omake.

Lex was disappointed he "only" made the prosthetics equal to normal human limbs, so refining them into something better without add-ons is possible. Plus, we don't have to go for "weaponized cybernetics", there's all kinds of things we could do.

For example, eye implants so people can have thermal and night vision. Alternatively, mechanical legs that self-adjust for climbing up mountains and the like. Mechanical arms could have numerous functions, like a connection port for L-Phones, built-in pens, screwdrivers- real "Swiss Army Knife" stuff.

Point is, there's plenty of non-violent ways to make prosthetics better. In fact, we actually studied "Cybernetics", so combining it with a "Virtual / Augmented Reality" Network would be a real possibility down that route.

Space is just something we haven't prepared for at all, and Lois would naturally call us out if nothing ever materializes on that front. Currently, Lex doesn't know there are aliens. Thus, "Space" only appeals to him because of the resources and land that would be available.

@King crimson: So this is obviously a long-way off, but how about a Write-In for "Create a Virtual & Augmented Reality Network"? Actually, do we already have options for "Create Virtual Reality" and "Create Augmented Reality"?

Hey people with EXP we only need 5700 more in lex learning to be the smartest man on the planet (maybe. Smarter than Ivo atleast)

12700 more to out-smart Brainiac.

Regarding EXP... we need 2300 more EXP to tie with Lois Lane in Diplomacy (which is important, considering that we're having an interview with her).

We don't have to tie with her. She has slightly more Diplomacy than us, but we got FAR more resources than her.

What's more, her having 3 more points than us in diplomacy only gives her a VERY slight advantage over us. 3% advantage.
