or we can just do it with the team we know will succeed at doing it 100%. if we try to prep for it maybe the DC lowers a bit but it will still be in the 90/80 range, we will still need to commit multiple reseach heroes so if we do it right now we have it and can look into what it gives us and continue new research afterwards

So, after learning that Cassandra is not a good candidate for plugging leaks, I decided against going for plugging leaks right now.

My votes before I see how others will vote\their arguments for their votes.

It is a large project for Luthor+Pamela+Mercy+Karl or Luthor+Pamela+Rebecca+Karl or, maybe, just Luthor+Pamela+Mercy. With any of those 2 teams, we'll have almost 100 (98-99)% chance for success with a 4 hero team. I firmly believe that we should sometimes do large flashy comic book villain stuff and stop roleplaying a practical billionaire who does small steps to become richer in a realistic way. This action has tremendous potential including a way to get a canon Poison Ivy (but saner), advancing the bone formula for Karl, getting genmod soldiers, growing transplant organs, and much more.

Also, it makes sense roleplayingwise. Luthor learned about how metahumans can be created. He wants to try it himself

We may not want using her in martial\intrigue actions yet letting her to mature a bit

I see some proposals for biology for Karl. I suggest considering cybernetics instead. It also deals with human body so it fits Karl's request.

I gave my reasons a few posts above but decided to change improve planes to a more specific plane related learning action and replaced robotics with Hiring Lady Vic because we have a ton of jobs for her. (at the very least: Woodrue, Sacket, Intergang)

I thing we should try to deal with Intergang before they regroup, being strength (They're the only organized crime in town now), and throw nasty surprises in our direction. I really thing we should do things like donate to police and the public as the first makes a stronger force intergang will need to deal with and the later will make it harder for them to recruit from the poor. Use the police to keep presser on the gang, findout information on the gang to better deal with, and hire Deathstroke to kill of the leadership and possible collect some of those unique weapons they got for reverse engineering.

i agree that we do need to deal with intergang, same as woodrue. but figuring this out will give us a big advantage becouse of maybe poison Ivy and biomodding our soldiers using plant traits

I know that my set of votes is quite "internal". Only one intrigue action and one diplomacy when we have numerous new options for those. There are several reasons for this:

1) It is not exactly a plan, I expect that some "external" actions will get voted anyway. I hope they will be low DC
2) It is made with an assumption that Luthor, Mercy, Pamela being busy with the megaproject and those are our best diplomacy\intrigue heroes. And both Intrigue and diplomacy actions are quite unpleasant when they fail. Doing DC30 intrigue heroless and rolling a 10 can be... very painful.
3) Renovating Lextower has +10 to the roll and 0DC heroless. I like auto-successes 3 other actions of this block just too synergetic with it.
4) Some of actions that fit our heroes most (fashion\magic\A.M.A.Z.O\Planes) are just "internal" by their nature
5) A.M.A.Z.O is becoming a problem, assisting it a bit seems necessary for me


Yes, I know that there is a lost opportunity cost of not using Lex and Mercy on intrigue\diplomacy now. We will pass some opportunities, it will give our enemies time to regroup and prepare new schemes against us., etc. The thing is... this will be true always and the closer we will be to Superman, the higher those costs will be. I am reasonably sure that lost opportunity cost for doing Plant-human integration will only grow and so I want to pay it now, while we can afford it. For example, next turn it is likely that Ivo will fail again and we'll have toassignn Luthor on A.M.A.Z.O.

It might be useful for some actions. And it doesn't have to be Lex, almost any hero is fine for this. And I think that for first few turns we should keep her away from martial\intrigue actions unless it is absolutely necessary

Also, we may have a way to handle Karl's depression should his son get killed:

Cooperation score with Karl Helfern: 0.4 (Karl enjoys working with children and is firm enough to control Cassandra. Cassandra finds Karl weird and doesn't really listen to him too much. Still Karl for all of his pessimism still takes joy in being around children and finds new inspiration)

DC 25 The country is still in turmoil from Mustapha Maksai's hostile takeover. Now would be the perfect time to take him down before his power solidifies and earn Mari's loyalty for avenging her adoptive father. It might get you some odd looks in the international community when you overthrow a country but you doubt that anyone will act on Maksai's defense.
