Forge of Destiny(Xianxia Quest)

If we want to be a bit extravagant / on the safe side, there's also White Hart Elixir (6 RS for +3 dice rolls) or Flowing Rivers Pill (6 RS for +6 pills). Edit: Added in FR Pill just in case SCS goes into the next step instead of overflowing.
You need to double those bonuses, since you have effectively 2 spiritual cultivation actions in your plan.

(Basically, you should be using everything that gives anything to Spiritual Cultivation, so please add these two pills if you haven't already.)

Anyway, I think we do still need to spend an action to get a weapon commissioned, but it's definitely worthwhile now that we're essentially income-neutral until Late Silver/Yellow. And if we got SCS nudged upwards, we can drop that from our Cultivation suite, which leaves EPC/FSA as our first two. Then we can spend one commissioning a really strong bow, one on ASA if we still want that, and the last one on training I guess? Maybe bring up the site we found to Han Jian's crew so we can start preparing to take it?

done, epc does not in fact add to meridian cultivation at first level, I;ve clarified argent soul as well. Yin aspected arts are all arts, so yes, EPC enhances itself
Thank you. If possible, could you add an "Attributes" tagline to the arts currently missing it, as well? That would be Eight Phase Ceremony, Sable Crescent Step, and Forgotten Vale Melody. Eight Phase Ceremony also appears to no longer have its name anywhere in our arts listing, which is somewhat confusing for anyone without the context to already know what it's called.

Yeah I flip flopped there. I'll post the updated SCS when I get home from work

We're still at 39/40 atm though, right? Who's the other person who put in omake points?

It's under Cultivation. All cultivation arts are in that tab, including Argent Soul.

[X] Plan For Progress
-[X] Use From Inventory: 2 red stones, 1 Clear Wind Pill
-[X] Buy and Use: Steady Growth Pill, Flowing Rivers Pill, White Hart Elixir, Bear Marrow Elixir (24 red stones)
-[X] Buy and Store: 2x Wellspring Pill
Major Actions
-[X] Train by hunting with Han Jian and his group
--[X] Falling Stars Art
-[X] Train at the vent with Suyin and Su Ling
--[X] Spiritual
-[X] Train with Bai Meizhen
--[X] Physical
--[X] Speak with Bai Meizhen, her... intense training methods have made things a little awkward between you
--[X] Drop the mental training if we can't handle it right now. Getting better at this sort of thing is worth doing, but not at the cost of tainting our interactions with Meizhen.
-[X] Cultivate on your own
--[X] Eight Phase Ceremony
-[X] Hunt the Crimsonwing Condor
--[X] All else being equal, try hunting the condor at night.

Minor Actions
-[X] Spend more time with Han Jian fleshing out your understanding of noble politics
-[X] Attend the next 'government' meeting that Lady Cai has called
-[X] Make sure Gu Xiulan does not bite off more than she can chew with her scheme

Major points of this plan:
-Uses all the pills available for spiritual cultivation. At 6 (talent) + 18 (stones) + 8 (vent) + 5 (EPC) + 7 (Pills) = 44 and 43 successes required, this means that using this action and one more the next week lets us break through to Mid-Yellow with 87% probability even without considering overflow.
-Takes the Han Jian action, firming up that social link against erosion and letting us go into the government meeting with an actual understanding of what is going on.
-Hunts the Condor, letting us try out our new levels of SCS and FSA, collecting a nice haul of stones and sect points, and if we are lucky discovering a location.
-Cultivates physical, pushing us slowly but surely towards Late-Silver, increasing our Qi, and taking full advantage of the bonuses from White Hart Elixir and the Steady Growth Pill.

I'd rather do Investigate Disappearances with Su Ling, and do an action with Su Ling rather than Han Jian. That way we'd be able to solidify our relationship with the only good hunter we know (other than Meizhen, who's already busy helping us with other stuff), and it provides significantly better rewards.

Anyway, we've got lots of stones now, and we don't actually need Yellow Spirit Stones until Late Silver/Yellow. How about we squander them all getting a really good bow, given how great our learning curve is for it?
How about when we look for outer disciplines to challenge we try to find someone with a bow instead? Seems like ti would have the same result at a much cheaper price, and I would be really disappointed if we went and commissioned a bow only to have another one drop in our lap.

@yrsillar Sorry for all the pings you're getting :(

I had a thought about retroactive omake points though. You could only allow points to be spent when our number of successes is below the average, and only allow retroactive boosts up to the average number of successes (50% probability with that any dice thing @PrimalShadow talked about).

It would make sure we can't unbalance the system by only adding points afterwards for maximum efficiency and reduce some potential future salt by mitigating really bad training rolls.

Edit: Though reading through the thread (it's so long) this is a pretty awesome and saltless community barring the arm art craziness )

Shopping is a minor action now.

Will post plan when at home, but draft would be:
Cultivate - FSA
Cultivate Vent - Spiritual
Train - Meizhen - Physical
Condor
Investigate - Meizhen
Talk with Meizhen
Cai Meeting
Gu Xiulan
Commission bow - 12-15 yellow stibes, Wind/Heaven, ask Gu for help negotiating.

It won't necessarily be good for us though.

And since our Bow is basically our alpha strike weapon (Since we'd be using our flute/getting a guandao/knives for close combat), we can optimize it for use of our alpha strike technique from the ground up.

It provides significantly greater rewards in return for significantly greater risk. We have no idea what is responsible, and while we could probably run away Su Ling can't.

I think a minor action with her would be valuable, but I'd rather wait one week - politics knowledge would be really useful this turn, what with the gov't meeting and all.

I know that. But at the moment, nowhere does the phrase "Eight Phase Ceremony" actually appear in the description of Eight Phase Ceremony, when you'd expect it to have a clear header as a label. Someone who doesn't already know that we have an art called Eight Phase Ceremony equipped would have no idea what our current cultivation art is called.

Decisions decisions decisions.

On one hand I really want to hit the Archive for ASA. On the other there's all sorts of other things to do.

I did promise to make a plan covering getting whichever of ASA/FSA didn't win last week. So I'll do that.

@yrsillar
Is the Archives section of this valid?

Chances are the bow uses Wind as its primary element, which is enough to make it good for us. Given that we are only going to be using the bow with FSA and not really with other arts, Wind is all we need on it.
