We need the offense of a flying sword, and so I hope that we get one.

As for the Ossuary horror? I think it's great and I feel that it is validation regarding the potential for support based builds. I would also like to point out that the Shambling Terror had about 35 defense dice, and with our debuffs our Ossuary Horror would most certainly be able to hit it. Whether it can survive long enough to deal meaningful damage depends on who the Ossuary Horror is fighting, but there is some significant potential here.

As for the Accelerate or Status Quo argument... I have no particular preference. I am positive that @yrsillar is capable of writing an engaging story either way and I will continue to enjoy the story.

I would like to point out that Zhengui has now, once again, been able to hide and surprise individuals on his cultivation level. It appears that he is getting quite good at hiding.

Mostly because I'm not then worrying constantly that we're going to miss out on important parts of our friends development because we took the wrong minor. It's been too stressful for me.

So I was doing some quick napkin math, and it looks like we'll be about 16 XP short on expression 8, assuming we keep training it every week.

How do people feel about trying to Omake bump that. Every die in a clash is nice, and if we get it soon enough it might unlock Specialty 3 (note:last statement is baseless speculation)

or does the fact that we are using the Void Shard is enough to lock the result ?

I doubt it is worth 16 XP. In comparison, consider what 16XP would give us if invested in our formation of choice. Seem like a better angle.

Though. Okay I'll be honest, that makes it... eh... to my view. If it cannot ablate normal damage using Qi then it's eight health levels and 3 armor at max possible level make it rather fragile and makes it interact weirdly with stuff like TRF. Which, if it's supposed to always be fragile, that's fine and I can deal with this weakness in return for the rest of the stuff it gives because it makes sense based on what it's made out of.

Yeah, that would be getting horror and upgrading base scouts.

At the same time, it places us firmly as a musician that's better than a Yellow can be with more than just autosucceses. That's nice narratively.

I might just go solo and decide to pump out 8 omakes even though I basically agree with you.
 
What do you guys think:

Will having to take a larger role in her clan make it less likely for Meizhen to act as the Bai ambassador to the Cai courts or more likely as they want her to gain experience, which is easiest done at a foreign court (for backstabby reasons)?

Probably a Bai ambassador, since Meizhen already has a steady working relationship with Renxiang.
 
I'm not sure if people noticed but our scouts can now fly at a respectable 15 speed. We need to start making at least 3 each week starting new week so we hit the minimum for a green fusion skeleton by the tournament.

Depending on how the deployment works it could very easily not cost an action to deploy.
We can also use them for automatic and/or expensive AoE skills to speed up our combat.
And of course we can use them as meatshield and multiattacker bonus providers.

a Bai/Cai alliance is such a big deal that i'm sure said cousins would do anything to make it fail and have Meizhen discredited.
We just found what the first major event on the Bai Path would have been!
