I wholeheartedly agree that this should be a partial accelerate, but don't remove all minors.
After the tournament a rebalance to make months pass per vote instead of weeks may be in order. Ideas?

To be fair, outsourcing the Domain Weapon commission probably makes it impossible to intercept. And it's the right choice anyway, because the Inner Sect doesn't usually have fourth realm crafters on hand, so they won't be able to work it to the fullest.
Use the Shard, commission a Domain Weapon through the Caimission, make sure that our buddy Renshu isn't going to be a problem in the future, and otherwise Git Gud.

Oh hello, welcome to my parlor bear. Dear lord Zhengui sounds like he's roughly sedan sized. His adorableness increases!

HAH! She's coming to expect it! Hah! Oooh so that was a cultivator? Intriguing. Huh. Cool. You know I am really getting these vibes that Emerald Seas are kinda like Xianxia Wales or Britannia what with all the Erlking and Fey imagery. Which is really freaking cool.
Ooo goodie we're getting practiced in identifying our shinies! And that it's only just in fourth grade makes it sound like It's first stage Cyan that will let us fully use it. Oh also REALLY BIG THING, throughout this Meizhen has been referencing our fief and how this Domain Weapon is a bit beyond what is expected of a new baronial clan. This will reflect well on us and on Cai on the political stage, except amongst any entrenched detractors we have(which is pretty close to none right now). She also said that the mirror should be auctioned for our fief and I am in full and TOTAL agreement with her since we're going to need the cash. I'm fine with feeding the Shard into the Domain Weapon offer Cai has given us.
Oh @yrsillar can we vote to get the talisman now in this vote or will that chance come later this week?
HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAA we made Meizhen face palm! Wunderbar! Interesting talk on Life and Death qi, and the Bai cultivator eugenics program. Also interesting to get a more solid number on how big an Ancestor Clan can be population wise.
Nice. Suyin is freaking adorable as a neeeerrrrd. Wonderful! Also interesting to see more info on the Bao. I like her actually, she seems polite and really chill under the really intense focus on her work. They're our technical superiors in noble ranking, but not to far above and I also don't think they'll be our direct superior when we get a fief. Not sure though.
Ohhhh I love this thing already. Pricy, but within our means to make one equivalent to our level if we wished and can find the time to make 21 of them. Jeeves pass me the Awesome Sauce! I must delight upon this for some time!
Even better though is that Suyin has finally dropped the insecurities which plauged her. Reading that she thinks we're beyond transactions at this point is probably going to be one of my favorite things in this quest!

I don't think anyone has proposed any reason not to, and the earlier the sword is commissioned, the earlier we get it. Hell, this was one of the main reasons we went for a normal cultivation week instead of an SLP week. So vote:

Stuff for Zhengui. Talismans, one for Zhen, one for Gui.
Mobile Oppression Fort/Arms Fort Zhengui with the Silk Guards will take more research. Thankfully we have inclination to do that with the Horror being amazing.
I wonder if Lady Cui was something Cui made Zhen call her or was it his idea?

I suppose this is why Jiao looks as ashen-grey as a corpse? He had to bind a Death spirit to be an agent for the Ministry of Integrity, and possibly learn MoI-exclusive Death aspected arts as part of their anti-cultivator suite?
Oooh, the name of one of the Eight Ascended children of Grandmother Serpent! If Meizhan is any indication -- unlikely, given her own proclivities -- the Serpent Queen is a spirit of fear and domination, who used a strategy of debuffing her enemies to oblivion.
...I wonder how much of the Bai's social control strategy of Absolute Fear was due to their leaders' emulation of their Ascended ancestor?

I really want to advance all our friends' storylines (Gan!!! Han Jian!!!1!11!). Seems like that'll be easier if all we had to vote for is who we get screentime.

Regarding the Accelerate vs Status Quo vote - I wanted to think over a concrete example of what it would mean. So lets look at the current update.
We've had three scenes in this update:
- Zhengui eats Bear
- we chat with Meizhen about our treasures and her family
- we meet Suyin in her mentor's creepy workshop, where she shows off her formation improvements
What would have changed if we were using an accelerated format instead of the Status Quo?
Well, the Zhengui scene would have been entirely cut. Frankly, the scene is mostly just slice-of-life, and isn't important to the plot. The only new things that it established about the characters from what I can tell is that Zhen calls Cui Bai "Lady Cui", and that is basically it. It shows Zhengui's progress and that he is mastering the size change technique, but that could be done without a scene for it.
Meizhen's encounter would probably have been preserved entirely, or had part of the Treasure exposition cut. The rest of the talk sheds light on Meizhen's character and the current state of our relationship, so I expect it would stick around.
Suyin's talk is somewhere in-between. I think her point about "I do not feel as if there needs to be transactions between us" is a valuable part of the narrative, and for that we would have had to see Suyin showing off at least a little bit to get a cohesive scene, but at the very least the first half the scene (everything having to do with Senior Sister Bao) could have been cut.
So the question is, would those cuts make for a better story and a more interesting read? Or would they be dropping content that is fun and interesting to see?

Wasn't the Cai commission vote also supposed to specify what sortd of abilities we wanted the result to have?

Not really. It gets 24 offensive die at maximum, for now, and little in the way of arts. With a 10 dice difference, a top contender could beat it in 3 rounds, max.
