That does remind me of a question I wanted to ask Yrsillar, as it weirds me out that people consider the wolves fight not a no-risk one (though very low risks of having to retreat).
@yrsillar while we don't need the full dice logs for the fights where we beat the appraisal green/early bronze plant monster and its 20+ late yellow children, could we have some basic dice numbers on the opponent's spiritual and physical defences/attacks then? So we have more data points of much stronger monster than the wolves (1 higher level on average)?
Dices would be great, but if it was used with narrative fiats it does tell us we are good enough such a fight can be done with fiat. That tells us that narratively Ling Qi has no issue using Elegy on a Green Appraisal (+2 auto successes on us) spirit beast that focus on spiritual attacks itself, and that our group of 6 could easily beat a group of 20+ late yellow monsters lead by a green appraisal one (wolves are 20 or so mid yellow led by a early green).I suspect that the QM waived the mechanics and employed narrative fiat for that fight. As you say without this information, it does make it hard to judge how dangerous is too dangerous. That's also why I want for fights for Ling Qi. Need more data.

I'm not sure how you got from that narrative that there were 20+ late yellow children with the plant monster. It reads to me that there was just one grade 3 monster, though one so large that its outer layers are weaker. Ling Qi, while trying to target its core, seemed to think that there was just one of it.
While you might be right in a metaphysical sense with one 'hivemind', it was the opposite in a practical sense: we were surrounded by many opponents at once while trying to get to the appraisal green monster (one level above early green). It was a good thing that she did, as they crashed through into the more heavily organic tunnel, she felt a sudden wrenching feeling in her gut as the dull decaying qi around her spasmed in response to their intrusion. Stringy white growths tore from the walls, tendrils of spongy fungal growth the size of thick tree limbs attempting to bar their way and push them back.
Fan Yu and Han Fang held though, the taller boys hammer ripping one in twain with a thunderous burst while Fan Yu at least held under their battering. Ling Qi's shadow constructs tore at rootlets and tendrils, keeping them from creeping up around her feet. Her eyes watered as Gu Xiulan's blinding blue flames lanced down the tunnel, reducing many of the obstructing growths to ash. Heijin darted forward through the gaps she made like a golden blur, shredding tendrils as they struggled to grow and regenerate.
Ling Qi, feeling that they had the damage in hand, simply called on the wind to guide everyone's movements as she maintained her melody. Han Jian did the same, his banner unfurling further as tracers of light like a tiger's stripes began to form on his skin and armor. Ling Qi felt a rush of heat as his own qi, wind and earth together, bolstered her own.
All around them, the tunnel came alive, and they advanced regardless. Early Silver, Mid Silver, Late Silver, the fungal growths qi grew more resilient the closer they pushed to the cavern at the end of the tunnel, fighting back more fiercely and desperately. Gradually it slowed them, but it could not stop them. Gu Xiulan's intense flames scorched it down to the earth and cut off any hope of regrowth regardless.
We already know how many, we have seen the wolves before. They are trash tier. I didn't think I needed to ask Yrsillar anything about them because I doubt we'd even have to roll if we get more than a single ally with us that's late yellow.I think if you wanted Ling Qi to do that wolf job so much you should have asked yrsillar about it directly. As Ling Qi is a better judge of the abilities of herself and her friends than any of us, and she actually has tangled with the wolves before, I believe the QM would tell you how many other people Ling Qi thinks she will need with her to do the job safely.

Well, when I asked about it yrsillar said this:Truthfully, If it wasn't for the argent bit, I'd have betrayed for Gan ages ago.
So I conclude that it's basically going to be a throwaway line, with no significant gain or loss. Won't find the art, but we won't offend her. We do make polite smalltalk about our cultivation progress, so it's reasonable enough to mention.
It's a good thing I don't care what they think. Not sure if it's worth adding any more arguments to the decision but consider what the Mai sisters themselves would want. Since they are Cai supporters and are in awe of her, I think if you asked them f they would prefer to participate in real combat with Gan and Ling Qi or to spar with Ling Qi and a new friend she's going to introduce to them, I'm fairly sure they would pick the former. They seem pretty eager to prove their worth and I think they're really only loyal to Cai right now.
SV's tally program, if we count by block, handles multiple plan voting as long as they are in the same post. For example, @tricholysis is counted as voting both for Emerald Sea and Emerald Sea with Lan Lan in the tally above.Uh, no that was for the patron poll. I dont think the tally program would handle that well
So i take it that 30 dice goal we had going on is only relevant for Greens (1) in their heavy specialization area, or for monsters like Liling and Meizhen.Plant Monster spirit offense: 25-27 dice
Plant monster defense: 20-25 dice at the core, less in the outer layers
Why would it? What kind of chaos are you expecting to see? What kind of confusion?Wouldn't people voting for multiple plans make things more confusing? Or cause chaos in general?
Well, dice for spiritual still seems somewhat harder to get than physical... and Han Jian was able to resist the spiritual attacks from the plant monster, even though it had 2/4? autos on him. So, huh, I'd say it's more 'spirit beast are often not very good for their levels as they have no formal training'.So i take it that 30 dice goal we had going on is only relevant for Greens (1) in their heavy specialization area, or for monsters like Liling and Meizhen.
Voting for multiple Plans is a better method to show what exactly you want. Or rather the whole thread wants. And it also gives an idea of what each voter does not want.Wouldn't people voting for multiple plans make things more confusing? Or cause chaos in general? Not too familiar with how it works but if it's been working so far why change it?
I mean it's really not hard to vote for just 1 plan even if you like multiple plans. You can always change your mind later on or just not vote.
Gained: Heavenly Bliss Salve
Instantly heals up to three lethal or nonlethal damage. In addition reduces the healing time for up to two points of aggravated damage to one week. Cannot be used in combat. User receives a five die penalty on all actions for two hours after use.
That many dice plus 2-4 autos... Do Jian/Fang have particularly high sp.def or did the plant monster roll poorly there?

Assuming all the plans are up when people vote, of course.
It also (mostly) negates ties and people having to vote for a plan they "don't really like" to bar a plan they "really dislike" from winning.
Just though of something, last time we used a minor on Suyin we got:
I'm guessing the healing salve (which btw isn't in the inventory for some reason), is reward for the previous action. So that mean the Vault warrior formation is going to cost (at least) 3 actions in total to unlock from the book. It better be pretty amazing for that cost! Maybe the first oooo we get ?
On the other hand the Argent Liquid research isn't likely to start until after that is done, even though we spend time with Su Ling every week, so ... very unlikely we actually get anything from it before Breakthrough week![]()
