She didn't really have far to go on breaking through to late red, plus just kinda being surprised at managing two in a row.

People do understand we can't get 90 rolls (needed for 50 success) in 1 week? The earliest we can make a breakthrough now is at Week 13, and that is if we manage to get 90 success in 2 weeks (which means putting 2 actions on spiritual cultivation/meridians). This would eliminate social or arts.

Yes? We can't afford to ignore social and keep those ties though, and we need arts for the breakthrough to do anything worthwhile.
 
Woot !! AS4 went through by quite a large margin. On the other hand we have to deal with a yellow stalker.
 
If we want to do a prep week and start getting our groups more in sync with each other, something like this could work:

[] Plan Prep
[] Ask Bai Meizhen for information on Huang Da and advice for the situation
[] Spend some time with Gu Xiulan and ask for advice... she has to have some experience with unwanted... suitors, right?
-- [] We came into conflict with said unwanted suitor over a cultivation site, but we found it with the help of a couple other students, who are a bit... skittish
[] Talk to Han Jian, he did mention wanting to do some training
-- [] Ask re: inviting Su Ling and Suyin
-- [] Warn re: heavy cultivation on last week
[] [Some cultivation action]

It's too bad. I'd really like to do a training action on FVM with the gushing water pill, but we might want to strike while the iron's hot so to speak and try to get Han Jian's group into the vent area too. It'd have to be this week if we want to do that because next week, we're going to be doing heavy cultivation.

Otherwise, we can just go straight into an arts week this week. We'd be missing out on the tea though. Not sure how well it'd work since I think we'd have to spend 2x FVM, 2x SCS to get the lvl 2s. Well, I guess we could also just go most of the way there and finish it up on Week 12, but then we wouldn't get the overflow, I think, and we'd probably only trigger 4-5 qi rolls.

Smarmy bastard! I really hope neither Ling Qi or Li Siyun end up falling for that... Oh my god. This is so much worse than just wanting revenge. Forget falling for him, he managed to up his level of creepy. I had thought that it was just meant to be disarming banter but apparently he's actually serious so yep, I'm scared... Han Jian and Gu Xiulan will definitely be hearing about this one way or another

Also we are really not good enough in the social department to get the different groups to play nice.

Is there a cool down on the Sable Light pills? We got two left and using both of these before we hit Yellow so we can get the Qi pill synergy seems to be the best option?
 
Is it possible to explain to Han and co about the situation and ask for help in cultivation as well? If we could use a social action or two to train and cultivate with his group it might give some bonuses that we wouldn't have when training by ourselves.

I would argue that we take the train with Han Jian and ask specifically to help us with our arts. We also train with Li Suyin at the argent vent probably either spiritual or arts, and we ask Gu Xiulan to help us find a talisman at the shop to trade the wood staff for. Than personal cultivation for the other art. Spiritual and physical cultivation in their respective classes.

I don't remember. How does the Sable Light pills work? Do they trigger qi rolls whenever we train an art or meridian (regardless of success)?

Edit: IMO, we don't need to save for usage with EPC. It'd be a pretty weak one off if we only use it for that, and it's only +5. The important part is triggering as many qi rolls as possible.

They did last time.

"Grants five bonus dice toward opening meridians and learning Yin aspect arts. All successes in such efforts trigger a roll to increase the user's qi pool as well, retaining the pills die bonus."

The Zephyrs breath in week 8 did not finish but we still got the bonus qi roll.

She doesn't, but we just learned Huang Da is still hanging around and is now yellow. Assuming we only go their in groups of three, adding the other group means there are eight people now going back and forth. That makes it easy to travel to and from.

Well, Meizhen probably doesn't need to travel as part of a group, but she still 'safes' the area when she's there, and people can travel back to the sect with her when she leaves.

I was under the impression we had to actually make it through whatever we were trying -> Qi roll procs for each thing we passed
 
@yrsillar Do we need to succeed at whatever we're training to proc Qi rolls for Sable Light? Or is the attempt at a meridian or art training enough?

Also, re: AS, in one spoiler box, it's 9/100 for the next level, and in the other, it's 0/80. Which is it for AS5?

I quite like the idea of introducing forest friends to the Han Jians without immediately offerring them use of the vent. Gives Su Ling and Li Siyun a chance to interact with more people and train and lets them make an informed decision regarding the vent. Also might make Gu Xiulan happier?

They work even if we fail to get the breakthrough, though I think we need at least 1 success. They also don't give anything but resources bonus and Talent, so for example they would be Talent 6+Qi Foundation Pill 9+ Red Spirit Stone 5+ Argent Vent 5+ Sable Light Pill 5, nothing from lessons/etc.

@yrsillar, I am really hoping that sooner rather than later training with Han Jian would include phsyical cultivation, as when the Elders stop their lessons we already lose 1 action (currently we get both lessons for the worth of one action) but if we need to do both training with Han Jian + cultivate Physical cultivation separately this means we would need 3 actions for the worth of what is currently 1 :(

@Katreus, I think we should have only 2 social actions. So something like either Bai/Gu Xiulan, then Han Jian and co for the social ones.
 
With the mention that the other guy is still using the vent when we're not there, it makes sense to tell Han Jian and his team. That way even if Su Ling doesn't feel comfortable with too many people, then we can go there at more times thus monopolize it more. This has the benefits of improving our allies, and it has the benefit that Huang Da will have even less access to it.

However we do really need to swing it so Li Sung and Suyin get something extra out of it, as they were the primary people involved in finding it in the first place. Whether that's training, or resources, or whatever. Obviously they need to be treated nicely too, but Han Jian should do that off his own accord.

@yrsillar - do we get those automatic five successes for argent soul for simply being in the vent as the mist naturally helps us? Or do we have to be at the vent, and training argent soul for the successes?

Is it possible to ask Han Jian to work with our art cultivation?
I would also like to see if it is possible to get Gu Xiulan to help us trade the staff for another talisman.

By the way, I think we have to assume Huang Da is a lock in for the library now. We can't let our cultivate actions go below two this turn if we want to keep a chance.
