Yeah, I read it as Ling Qi being Lady Fujitsubo and I don't want to encourage Zhengui to hit on us or groom our niece...
Dammit. This worries me, I should have betrayed my vote or somethingInterlude vote is locked btw. We have a tie so I'm working out how to handle it
Except we'd have done the impressive job of somehow making the situation even creepier by raising Zhengui as a perfect spouse from birth.
We put a tiny hat on each of his heads, then we put him on our head as a hat. The concept of Hat will make sure he can't ever fall off.Have we figured out how we are carrying him everywhere yet? Carrying him on our head might be bad because he could fall off.
Yeah, any sort of 'discord' between multiple music-based arts is entirely my speculation. I even mostly doubt that there is such a restriction, since Ruan Shen suggests that a focus on music-based arts is a distinct thing people do.Normally I would agree with you, but it seems that the effect that is caused by the mystical musical melody is inherently separate from the melody itself. This can be seen in the 2 Thunderdome fight where even after we were knocked unconscious the mist and elegy lasted for the full amount of time. Since that is the case, we should be able to layer effects of the melodies upon each other without messing up the melodies themselves.
>voters taking serious riskshopefully we'll begin doing dangerous things with regularity (E.G, every 3/4 weeks) soon.

The question now remains: What types of hats? Tophats? Fedoras? Bowlers? Fezes? Berets? Two different types at once?
Well, the Kang Zihao bullying might be it too, but I am often the one trying to push doing the missions in a more risky way. We did do the Serpent's treasure in a decent way I think though. I continue to think both Ling Qi and the thread not only vastly under-estimate Ling Qi but also vastly under-estimate the advantages of doing dangerous things.I mean, I don't mean to discount the idea entirely but I do disparage it a little. Like, voters are really risk-averse. Nothing in event time with the curse, even though the curse is pretty weak-sauce mechanically (and admittedly there was serious event-fatigue at that point). The riskiest thing Ling Qi has ever done were things she couldn't really predict all that much: Sun Liling and the pretty up-there sequential threats of the Disappearances mission. Other than that the thread is pretty happy to sit and grind.
Wait, what? People have generally been in favor of doing the 15 point missions, since they give us the most points...Especially when it appears there is a bit of a consensus that 15 points missions are risky when I personally consider them "just above the cake-walks that are 10 points missions, though we haven't done them yet so I can be wrong".

Ah, sorry, I was unclear: I meant that there seemed to be a consensus that a 15 points missions carried significant risk by themselves, not that we were against doing it. Basically, I consider 15 points missions to still be 'fighting below our level' for the most part, though that will be truer once we get FVM4/SCS4.Wait, what? What confirmation? All I remember on the subject is our dream twin going "stop being all boring."Still, with the confirmation we get significant advantages by doing dangerous things I am hoping some of the plan makers are going to choose to take more risks soon both in actions taken and the choices during the events.
Getting Dissonance on instant being confirmed as combat breakthrough and +2 to cultivation for moon/darkness being heavily hinted as 'take risks now' (not 'stop being boring').What confirmation? All I remember on the subject is our dream twin going "stop being all boring."
That has still not been confirmed in-thread, you know.Getting Dissonance on instant being confirmed as combat breakthrough
Yes it has. Yrsillar said so, though I'm not going to hunt down the quote.
One way to end up doing more risky stuff naturally is to spend time befriending larger than life over the top archetypes like Gan Guangli and Xuan Shi rather than with more grounded, risk averse, acting like real people would act in these circumstances, plcharacters like Su Ling and Li Suyin.Well, the Kang Zihao bullying might be it too, but I am often the one trying to push doing the missions in a more risky way. I'm hoping Ling Qi is going to be less risk averse, but some of the reactions to some of the more risk averse characters (Su Ling comes to mind) being "Welp, we need to stop doing anything risky" worries me. Especially when it appears there is a bit of a consensus that 15 points missions are risky when I personally consider them "just above the cake-walks that are 10 points missions, though we haven't done them yet so I can be wrong".

Have the scene as an interaction between both characters?Interlude vote is locked btw. We have a tie so I'm working out how to handle it
Who were the two characters? Elder Jing and Xiulan?
I was very disappointed by Xuan Shi appearing to be a more grounded character without much panacheOne way to end up doing more risky stuff naturally is to spend time befriending larger than life over the top archetypes like Gan Guangli and Xuan Shi rather than with more grounded, risk averse, acting like real people would act in these circumstances, plcharacters like Su Ling and Li Suyin.
Elder Jiao and Gu Xiulan, yeah. Sadly I would have switched my vote if I had noticed it was going to be a stallWho were the two characters? Elder Jing and Xiulan?
They don't seem like they'd interact much.
Cool, that's good to know.Bear in mind that clans with spirit connections are what they are because of an ancestral spirit. I suppose if we do adopt little precious and then marry him off to some nice(or just talented) girl we could then have him be the ancestral spirit of our clan with us as the great ancestral spirit but the bloodline wouldn't include any other children Ling Qi has. Ignoring the other solution because, ew...
