Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

Psi-Ops conditioning should give access to the Solace ability from XCom 2, which is more or less an "Anti-Master" field that prevents things from mentally influencing you directly. Thing's like Survey being beautiful in Cape mode would still get through, but if someone like Mama Mathers or Jacobine Swiper were trying to do their shit on you, you'd be protected.

Yes, that is true, but my question is whether a blanket "anti-Master field" also stops information-gathering psychic powers like mind-reading or empathic senses.

Victor's skill-thievery isn't a Master power or an overt attack, so it might bypass Solace ability from XCom 2.

Victor is already dangerous enough with basic Alchemy transmutation, but Victor getting a second dose of knowledge from Lethe would be an S-rank disaster as Aisha spent a year in virtual reality learning un-black-boxed tinkertech, Alkahestry, Aura, chi manipulation, and Star Trek technology.

"That might change after the Prismatic Laboratory." Joe said.
I feel like (Cosmogone + her power) * her power's range and scope = Aisha existing in, perceiving through, and thinking with the minds of, every single reflective surface on every Earth.

Then again gant could maybe elevate her other abilities learned through the workshop, imbue/reveal a level of metaphysical 'truth' to things she does or creates?

I remember thinking apocyan was the most interesting thing to combine with her power, but now I cant remember why i thought that.

It wouldn't stop info-gathering powers, as far as I'm aware, no. Stuff like Alec's Nerve sense or Victor's skill-thief power wouldn't count as mastering or taking control of someone.

Maybe Victor's skill theft might count, especially because it does damage the mind and memories, but I don't really know and the ruling would be up to Lord. If Solace is a blanket "Anti-mindfucking" field, then Victor would be countered. If it's only considered "Anti-Master" then Victor shouldn't be affected.

I might be remembering wrong but didn't Joe get a symphogear/symphogear relic before? Did he ever use it for something?

You did remember wrong so far he's only gotten Heretical Adaptation which is the continuous upgrades perk. What's left for Symphogear is rather interesting though because there's the 600 Pagan Science that also comes with the soundtrack perks and unlocks Implanted Relic for capstone. One of these though it's not known which will also give Joe himself his symphogear that comes with the import and again while not not which one of them will trigger Tybalt's import to Symphogear which amongst other things will give him one of his own too. Due to this there are a grand total of 3 relic fragments available. The Symphogear doc itself though restricts the choices to the appropriate origin but offers 4 for each.

When did he roll the kinesis/stasis (Deadspace) toolkit?
As an aside: I was gonna ask about the gravity tech as well, but the Dead Space wiki is a mess and does not have the article in question on it - it's description is impressive though, "manipulating the graviton like the electron [of electricity]." There was an in game article on it in Dead Space 2, approximate to where you first pick up the stasis module.
Dead Space was initially excluded since the Jump-doc got deleted or something like that, IIRC. It's been recovered since, but Lord has yet to add those perks back into circulation.
EDIT: Looked it up, Lord said that the Jump was so heavily altered after the original list that nearly every perk was under a different name, so he just dropped it. So no dead space perks.
You can see the possible perks in the BCF Reference Sheet, which IS fan-made but is maintained rather well.

Ay, thank you.

Huh, seems my first impression bit me in the ass. A long while ago, I saw one of these reference sheets (there's more than one developed (I think, don't quote me 💀 )) and searched through it, only to realize that in addition to me having difficult scrolling through it, it was incomplete and I was unable to find any better documents.
Maybe that impression was wrong, maybe I misread the documents I was looking at.
Eitherway, this document is complete all the way up to chapter 93, so I thank you.
EDIT: Ah, NOW I partially remember what had me so annoyed: the roll statistics and possible perk pages are out of date.
Still, I'm not taking back what I said about my first impression, so I thank you.

So, the exposition device finally got another interlude. Isn't it sad that the interludes prior to this chapter tended to be highlights of this fic? Little to no excessive Celestial Forge bullshit, a focus on the author's exemplary writing, interesting world building perspectives while still, somehow, moving the plot forward. But when exposition device gets her own chapter we don't get a unique perspective and a world building chapter, no plot movement, just more excessive Celestial Forge exposition. I kind of feel sorry for exposition device. At this point, Brian with only his interludes is a more interesting character. He brings more to the plot than exposition device's sole reason for existing, as a narrative tool.

Aka He's basically the Akashic Records/the Root.
Truth is more than that.
The Akashic Records only encompass human experiences - even if we include everything adjacent to humans (so, transformers could also be found in the records, for instance) the Akashic Record would not equal Truth.

Because Truth is everything. Truth is the inside of a blackhole, the depths of Jupiters core and the emptiness of Bootes void. It's the faintest of things that are so faint as to be unrecognizable as events and the shining light of the Big Bang. It is the sum of the universe and beyond.
The Akashic Records only encompass conscious experience. Thus, many facets of the universe are abbreviated or outright not held within. Not just little bits of trivia, ENTIRE FACETS OF REALITY are not recorded by the Akashic records.

Truth is all of what I described AND what I did not describe for the sake of abbreviation. It's made up of known and unknown. It's made up of everything. Even the Akashic Records are just another component of it.

Oh, you're on Survey's interlude? Come on, it's pretty good preamble, and the main chapter is pretty decent too, even if it ends on a cliff. And it doesn't seem like quality of interlude fallen any after it (Chubster's interludes are proof enough). Not sure what you waffle about.
Also, not sure how accurate it is to call Survey "exposition device". I mean yes, her primary function is to expose, and she is a machine intelligence, so it kinda fits, but still weird.

So to clear up Truth and True Magic and all that, Truth, as per Lord's WoGs, is only omnipotent insofar as FMA alchemy is concerned. Meaning you can violate equivalent exchange in other ways (As Joe does by doing more or less anything nowadays) but you can't go all fucky wucky with alchemy's rules (Again, unless you're Joe, who can bypass that with Fiat perk powers).

As for Truth being more than the Root, that's mostly up to interpretation because some Fate fans will argue to the end of time that The Root is TOAA level. Which it's not. For that matter, I'm pretty damn sure Truth isn't TOAA level either.

Haha! No, you make a good point about Survey but that was not what I was getting at. The most recent chapter, Aisha's.

... (Insert Pinocchio reference here). Maybe Aisha will be a real girl one day?

Anyway, while this thready briefly on Truth again, I remembered 2 synergies of Clap Alchemy with other perks that were confirmed by Lord:
1) Apparently, Clap Alchemy counts as a more involved method, so unlike with normal circles, making things with clapping count as making them yourself (Considering that with Clap you're the circle of the process, makes sense). As any Alchemical transmutation involves breaking things down to it's base components, anything created with clap alchemy gets the benefit of Craftsmen of the Gods.

2) I want to remind that main reason why Joe doesn't use Alchemical transmutation in his crafting is that it doesn't get benefits of Master Craftsman, the perk that makes items more powerful the more "by hand" crafting process is. It's the perk that made 1st gen tier 1 of nanobots so shiny and perfect. Sooo... Clap Alchemy crafting counts as making things by hand. On atomic level. With unlimited range and capacity.

Yeah, it's OP as fuchsia and basically returns alchemy as a valuable main tool for Joe. Also lets him make tier 1 nanobots as easy as breathing. The Matrix - rejoice!

from Lord
Tetra is a lot more powerful than Mama Mathers. She is very adept at using the Dragon's Pulse, which is about connecting to flows of life energy in both the landscape and living creatures. Anyone who she's close enough to sense through the Dragon's Pulse, she'll be connected to and will be able to continue sensing in terms of both physical state, location, and even remote alchemy uses. Of course, actually touching someone would be a lot worse, but she only needs to be in the same area to maintain a permanent link.

Ok that's even more OP then I thought it was if it's not even limited by touch to start too connect

Victor is already dangerous enough with basic Alchemy transmutation, but Victor getting a second dose of knowledge from Lethe would be an S-rank disaster as Aisha spent a year in virtual reality learning un-black-boxed tinkertech, Alkahestry, Aura, chi manipulation, and Star Trek technology.

good luck finding her, not only does she have her canon power, but she has her power armor with her at all times, I garantee you that the range on that thing is waaay longer then victors power's range is and that her suit/ bracelet/earing will detect victor the person looong before he gets a chance too take something by accident, and because of her power she can always relocate herself as soon as she gets a warning with zero repercussions

You had all kinds of examples in movies or TV shows of A.I.s or roots
I suspect that 'roots' should be 'robots' (I found this a hard one to figure-out...).

---

Excellent episode, as usual.

I wonder if Aisha will meet Lisa at some point, so as to boggle her about how much she has changed?

Is Aisha going to get the ability to remove recent memories people have acquired, say at least stuff in short-term memory before the commit to long-term memory? Will she be able to affect the memory of shards, as well as hosts?

I guess someone can now wander the streets of the 'Bay, as a dangerous red-head... Is she likely to be offered free ice cream? :)

Also, would equipping her with a small pair of red scissors, and suggesting that if annoyed she grins at someone, and makes a *snip* *snip* gesture, a good idea? :)

I'm looking forward to seeing the continuing to be confused Taylor again...

---

Wondering whether a story with an 'Anti-Forge' would work, where gained abilities are twisted/reversed, and the 'forge master' has to try and make them of some use... Or, whether that would be pointless/silly...

I think it would counter the mind wipe part of it, but still allow copying
