Blood, Sweat, and Tears (WH40k Design Bureau)

No. We are not using frigates to garrison Calavar.

This turn we have 3 targets:

1. Warboss Legcutta: His fleet is in tatters, this is our one and only chance to cleanly kill him. 2nd Squadron, 4th Squadron, and 1st Torp squadron, and 1st support plus ground forces (1st Combined Army Group plus other support) should be dedicated to killing Legcutta and snuffing out his WAAAGH.

Expected Forces:
4x Onslaughts
1x Ravagers
1x Gitburnas (Lance Escort)
7x Corvette Analogues

30~ Warbands

2. Homna String Worlds: The biggest remaining Ork force that we know of that is immediately threatening. Situation critical. Garrison cannot hold out for much longer. (1st and 3rd Squadrons, 2nd Support Squadron, 2nd Void Army, 1st Mobile Army Group to reinforce garrison forces against Ork Stompas)

Expected Ork Forces:
21x Ork Attakk Ships
3x Ork Terror Ships
1x Ork Stormerz
2x Ork Roks

14x Ork Warbands
2x Stompa Mobz

3. Lativa: Holding strong, Ork fleet in system severely weakened. Can hold out for some time. (2nd and 4th patrol squadrons to continue distraction action against Orks)

Expected Ork Forces:
4x Frigate Analogues
7x Corvette Analogues

12 Warbands

Can we try to give the support for gehault to certain ships we deem more important to repair as a way to curry favour with some captains or can we only give all to gehault who distribute among themselves?
Also is gehault capable of restoring all damage on their own or do they need our drydocks?

With the length of the turns, I wonder how many of the original deserters are still alive and how much of the crew was born after the mutiny. Add to that losses in battle few if any of those that decided to mutiny might be left i wonder if we can forgive the few remaining mutineers and ask them to join our nation.

@DaLintyGuy are we limited to one Sisters of Battle attachment in our entire army? Or can we have another? I'm hoping to create a army specifically geared towards head hunting Ork warbosses i.e:

Core: Mechanized Infantry (6M)
Attachments: Sisters of Battle (0M), Elite Infantry (0M), Combat Exoskeletons (2M)

Politically speaking, as we aren't the representatives of the imperium, forgiving them would in essence be us claiming the authority to do so.

It might not go well with sector command if and when we meet them again.

Can we offer ground forces and marines to defend their ships and Installations against enemy attacks, or would that be a bit too on the nose?
Could help in securing their continuing aid
Forcefully if necessary
Excellent work figuring out why they would not allow your troops on their ships without some powerful leverage.

Only one, because there are only so many Sisters Militant proper.

You do have another Army with a Character in it though.

Ah, do you mean the Knight? I don't think we've attached him to any army yet. We could put him into the army group with the Sisters of Battle in it and send said army group plus the 1st Line Army Group (plus one more formation I guess) should be able to have a good go at taking him down.

Also, folks, should the Endeavor have our Mk. II macros or should we stick Farstrike lances into it?

High roll for the Cataphract provides +1 to next PD Action and +1 to next Shuttle/Boarding Action.

Well, you have him and his retinue as well, but I was referring to the omake bonus for the Ashen Legion..? Unless I am forgetting the name.

Cool. Doesn't make up for the less than stellar results for the other two research but should be useful down the line.

Ah, right. The Ashen Legion.

Hm, strike force of Ashen Legion with the knight attached, 1st Combined Army Group (one of the armies in it has the Sisters), a line army group to serve as backbone and line holders while the special units go hunt down Legcutta.

Question: Will Bagalog accept a deal where we will provide a barebones Martinet light cruiser hull next turn which they can refit to their desire if they will strike at Incleon to at least damage its defenses and weaken its fleet this turn?

No. They have a Light Cruiser hull already, and it was at a rather high cost. If you put even base tier equipment in it however...

Base tier equipment? You mean the shitty self defense battery and shit that we started with?

I was thinking about Merchant equipment for everything except engines and having the engines be militarized engine and keep the weapon slots empty so they can add in weapons themselves.

Here's another weird design! Probably a post-game design, as it is a titan. Calavar probably can make small shields for a titan due to the experience with the rapid shields, even if they are bad.

Hurricane-Class Titan:
Calavar likes heavy armament, but doesn't have the technology for proper titan-scale weaponry. So take a bunch of heavy artillery guns, and strap them together into an enormous rotary cannon and mount them in a turret. It is a tank, entirely because it needs a large enough internal space to fit enough ammunition inside. It also has a normal hull weapon, secondary guns, and so on; as expected of a titan-scale tank. The shield is anemic for the tank, and exists entirely to be ablated for the short time it takes to fire its entire primary ammunition supply and stops being a moving bomb. The armor can take the hits after that.

Inspired by the really good Cataphract roll. This has basically no endurance, but sometimes you just need something to explosively disappear.

All the more reason for currying favour with some of their captains and finding covert ways of implementing safeguards for when they decide they no longer like us
If I am reading this correctly, are you saying that the fact that they wouldn't let us put a sword over their heads is on it's own indication that we need to put a sword over their head?

It's always nice to have a back up option in case things get hairy, but at this juncture Gehault NEEDS us so much that we have greater leverage over them by being one of the only people able and willing to repair their ships then by having our jackboots eating and crapping on the decks of their ships. It's, I don't know, a solution looking for a problem? We really don't need to worry about Gehault deciding they no longer like us as they really don't have a choice in the matter as is.

It'd be a raid, so... Depends on what they find in their preattack scouting. Probably will not include their cruiser in a more than supervisory role.
That should be enough to force Incleon to repair its defenses.

Okay. So, Mk Is... man its going to cost a lot but it might be doable.

Will they demand the ship next turn or can we give it to them in 2 turns?

Okay. I say start the ship with like 10 or 5M just to show we are starting it and will deliver it.

We need Incleon to be hit so that it'll be busy with rebuilding and not exploiting the shit they stole from us.

Then we finish the Audacity and the Endeavor next turn and start heavy raids to weaken and reduce its defenses for a knock out punch the turn after.
