Blood, Sweat, and Tears (WH40k Design Bureau)

Yes, but we don't have enough Patrol Squadrons.

One is patrolling the worlds near Calavar, the second is at Lexicalum (and needs to stay there if we want their help at Uniary), while IIRC, the third is at Bailiafax.
Yeah, but Baliafax at least has fortifications, so leaving it uncovered for a turn doesn't guarantee disaster. It's probably safer than leaving Latvia uncovered or reducing our forces at Uniary.

Maybe... and the normal (Chaos) raiders would, for this turn, be attracted to the fighting at Uniary.

@DaLintyGuy With that in mind, how safe/risky would Bailiafax be for one turn without their Patrol Squadron, if we make sure to get it back up the following turn?

Depends, the ones least inclined for fair fights would take advantage of the chaos.

Not that risky, you'd probably only lose five to ten Monies of production. A few small raids on outlying worlds.
Speaking of which, I'll need to add some sort of PDF tracker tomorrow. Hm.

Initial thoughts:
1st, 2nd 4th naval squadrons go to the hive, 1st and 2nd torpedo as well, 2nd support with the void army to help counter boarders.
Homna String Defense League get the 1st support and a resolute + modernized carriers from the 3th naval squadron(name them the 4th patrol squadron)
Lativa gets the rest of the 3th naval squadron
keep our patrol squadron at Lexicalum, odds are good what they can send is better then a patrol squadron(an escort with modern strikecraft)

sending the 2nd support instead of the 1st support to the naval battle as the second has military engines and the 1st merchant ones.

The 2nd Support doesn't have a bombardment cannon though, which given they should be hiding by the planet anyway when the big battle happens seems more important to me then being faster.

As a friendly bit of QM advice, always make sure that what you are tracking is going to be as useful and relevant as the effort that you are going to put in. You can drown in something like a PDF tracker as the scope creeps.

-Civilized World Yttreum (20LY): Having taken the lead over several Agri and Mining Worlds Yttreum eyes the Imperial deserters at Gehault with increasing hostility and began a crash industrialization program on their allied worlds. Under attack by Gehault yet remains defiant despite a tactical Life Eater deployment and non-negligible damage from conventional bombardment. [Independent]

Holy crap is Gehault insane?

Firing f-ing virus bombs on non-chaotic human worlds is a terrible idea. Even if they are "tactical", you don't hit people you want to rule over with Exterminatus weaponry.

Makes me wonder what else they've got squirreled away in their fleet base... I hope they don't have full scale Exterminatus weapons, that could get really ugly if they are pushed further into a corner by Bagalog.

[X] Plan: We Are Legion
-[X] Send 3rd Naval Squadron + 2nd Support Squadron North (Continue the campaign):
--[X] Homna String Defense League (20LY): A defensive pact once stood among these worlds. Now it is broken between differing interests, from Traitor splinter forces to the leftovers of the repulsed WAAAGH!! Jawbreaka. [Ongoing Campaign] [Forces Present: 6th Crusade Infantry Army & 1st Calavar Infantry Army + 1st & 2nd Bridgehead Armies + 3rd Calavar Infantry Army + 1st Crusade Defense Army] [Dark Star forces present, including superheavy armor]
-[X] Send 1st, 2nd & 4th Naval Squadrons + 1st & 2nd Torpedo Squadrons + 1st Support Squadron West + 1st Void Infantry Army (Destroy the Heretics):
--[X] Uniary (40LY): The fallen Hive World is in the grips of a massive three way campaign as Khornate forces attack the Nurgle/Tzeentch "alliance" and Crusade formations alike. Most reports put the number of Khornate ships in the mid double digit range and the combined combat forces landed on world are within shouting distance of the pre-Fall population. Psykers report ill omens here, something that the regular troopers make a mock of when made aware. [Forces Present: 1st Calavar Armored Army + 5th Bailafax Infantry Army + 2nd Calavar Infantry+ 1st & 2nd Crusade Siege Armies + Calavar Holy Shield Army + 2nd Crusade Defense Army ]
-[X] Request support from Lexicalum's fleets for the battle at Uniary.

I suspect that the forge worlds will start to complain about tech heresy if they find out.
This is less about reverse engineering the tech so we can make our own version and more about learning how they did it so we can apply those lessons to our lances/energy weapons. This is less likely to be considered tech heresy right?

[X] Plan: Defending all

Seems good to me, defends what we want to defend and puts as much forces as we reasonably can into the big fight.
