Question to all: In your plan your vote for breakthrough to silver but i thought you wanted to wait until you finished argent soul to reap all the benefit of the technique when going up a level in physical cultivation: can somebody explain it ?

We are pretty sure there isn't a benefit to getting AS 5 before going to silver.
There probably is a benefit of getting AS 5 before going to mid yellow/silver though.

Level 4 in AS is where we won't miss out on anything if we advance. We want to reach AS5 before starting Eight Phase Ceremony in order to not waste our progress. Finishing AS5 in the Red/Gold stage would be nice but it's nothing we can't get later given that we were told we wouldn't lose out on certain benefits. Going up earlier is the smart choice. We'll be wasting weeks of just sitting at peak progress and that could still end up failing when we try.
 
I am honestly curious what the school's next version of argent soul does and how it compares to eight phase ceremony. It might be better

@yrsillar, I have questions about archive action. It seems that it's a full action for looking at the archive for Art. Does that mean it functions like the shop, where finding an art takes an action but once we know where it is we can take it whenever, or we need a full action each time we want a new art? Likewise, can we, say, take out all the Heart Art we have seen before as a free action (if they are free actions), or are we limited in the numbers of art we take out? As it seems this might slow us down a lot if we can only take out once a week or if we need a full action each time.

And her failing, and us buffing Gu Xuilan successfully. Your point?

Again, the whole point of what we did was we were told it would make us safe for a while. We might have been told a lie, but I see no reason to believe so.

Archive requires an action each time, but the choice gives a retroactive training roll in whatever you pick

Its only dice bonuses, other modifiers are not effected

@yrsillar, when you said " the sixth action must be a personal training action", does only 'Cultivate on your own' qualify, or do any of the low social cultivation actions like breakthrough or cultivating on the vent with Suyin qualify? Because you've treated those as pretty low social commitment before.

Breakthrough is fine, otherwise stick to cultivate on your own. You'll still use the vent bonus regardless.

You were right that breaking through in physical now will only help us, but as we are now in yellow soul i suggest we raise AS to lvl 5 before another spiritual breakthrough.
Moreover i suggest finishing mastering our techniques soon and study the slip we were given in the exam.

Much better, especially as Iirc @yrsillar mentioned that now we don't have Elder actions training with Han Jian is both cultivation and stat training.

I don't like the current plans. We have a lot of backlog building up and we've just spent time with Xiulan last turn we can celebrate next turn, especially if we're lucky enought to get to silver.

This plan is aimed at clearing out some of the quests we've had pending for a while whilst keeping up with our current obligations. I want to do the Moon fill quest, and debated that instead of sending money to mother, but I think Suyin needs our help and I want to try and clear as much of our backlog as possible. If possible I'd like to take a Su Ling action before we go on hunting missions.

I do not want to go on the wolf mission at the moment. It is beyond our ability to bind and we don't even know how binding works apart from the fact we can do it to level one spirits. It seems to me we'd need to take an action to find out how to do so.

@yrsillar Is this plan ok for the number of social actions?

EDIT: Forgot the breakthrough and bonus stat.
EDIT 2. Changed failure action to work with Han Jian's group. Added a bear marrow elixir for an extra couple of average successes.

I honestly don't know why you consider "sending money to mom" backlog. Anyway, I'd suggest that if you fail breakthrough the physical cultivation be with Han Jian and co, because why not.
