@Thor's Twin do you mind putting the 'cultivate alone' in your plan higher up in the list so it's clear we are doing it before the breakthrough (so we can use Qi foundation pill), as well as make clear we are using 2 actions on breakthrough? I'm also iffy about getting back up to top on spiritual if we fail instead of trying for silver, but that's an actual change so a bad idea to do now.

Heck, she was worried about Cai Ren Xiang... And now she turns out to be a more honorable cultivator. Not an ally, but probably not one that would've extorted her jade slip from Ling Qi.

Yes we did. it has been made very clear multiple times, we first got confirmation on it on the very first day when we tried to get the sun lilan girl and she told us no and warned us about the "snake" backstabbing us and we heard the murmurs of the rest of the class.
then the various bullies would insult us after class every day for months...

As for Cai Renxiang... she was wary of her because Renxiang keeps looking after Ling Qi, and it's better to assume 'up to no good' than 'she is deciding whether we are a high potential ally'.
I'm also dubitative that a 'political action' would answer in detail about any of those things. It would talk about what we can expect from groups, but... For example, I doubt Han Jian knows about Ji Rong's rivalry with Huang Da, or cares.
As for Cai Renxiang... she was wary of her because Renxiang keeps looking after Ling Qi, and it's better to assume 'up to no good' than 'she is deciding whether we are a high potential ally'.

Ah, but at that point Ling Qi had already made faux pas of approaching and not been immediately repudiated, thus she gained the optics of a successful bootlicker. Besides, Sun Liling offered the insight after fake-punching Ling Qi, so she took it with lots of grain of salt...
We might've heard more about Huang Da's creepiness, albeit not about his actual stalkeriness, I suppose.
Heck, I initially thought he was a creepy male version of Meizhen, powerful, odd, but not actually bad.
We might hear that Hong Lin is her fiancee... And considering the scene he made, might have realized that she'd come for Ling Qi, so we'd put some effort to learn her techniques.
Kang Zihao, could we have heard of his ambition? Not sure in his case perhaps.
