I think Keri with the Driarch is more valuable in the Alyssa fighg than her gathering an army of Drukhi and kill Alyssa's reinforcements. So I would prefer to just send the Witch Elves packing.

Also it would be funny if Keri becomes a High Priestess of Khaine once she gets back to Laurelorn with the sword and Vermintide gets Gwendolyn as her replacement. Bubbly and curious Gwen exploring the Empire with the gang would be hilarious. Her knowing how to make gunpowder from a Dwarf friend, her being around a storied figure like Freddy, and her more down to earth disposition would be very interesting to read about.

[X] Turning A Bloody Leaf

And hopefully give them a disguise to not scare away new rescues.
And throw a bone to Sadrina.

Edit: Also, man a new 14k chapter so soon! You are spoiling us! So cathartic to se Nat being a boss.

Our wife is amazing

(Mother Glare: 74-A Mere Ylvathoi(20)-Druchii Arrogance(20)-Paranoia(5)+Natasha Diplomacy(13)+Sadrina Diplomacy(15)+Matriarchal(10)+Slaughtered Slaaneshis(10)+Vastly Outnumbered(5)+Proto Acolytes(10)+Wielder of the First Draich(10)=102/100)

Ah, the dreaded Hohenzollern Elf Parenting techniques.

[X] Turning A Bloody Leaf

Fuck it, adopting killy elf kids hasn't gone wrong before

Aw, man. Great rolls, but couldn't they have happened last chapter?

Hm,wonder how many players have said that in history.
Other than the nat100 most of the rolls were honestly pretty average, it's just that when you have a concentrated force of heroes as ridiculous as ours an average roll against most opponents turns into a curbstomp. In this case quite literally.

I wonder how many sorceresses Alyssa has left? We've killed one and I'd be highly surprised if no others had fallen during the constant fighting with other druchii. That means less reinforcements for the Cult of Pleasure through demon summoning, fewer leaders for their forces and possibly most importantly not a lot of sorceresses free to fix the damage Maghda has done and probably will do again.

If things keep going like this then the entire ark might sink, hopefully without us still on it. At the very least it's likely to be crippled with damage that will take a long time to fix if it can be fixed at all, something that makes it vulnerable.

In reality that rolls on average weren't that great, we just had a lot of bonuses on our side in the end that tipped things in our favor a great deal.

It was the same thing last chap, but in reverse. So, ideally in future we keep putting ourselves in situations where our advantages outnumber our enemies.

And i wonder what we would have found in the other three directions.
One for finding Mahgda, one for finding Hul and Gwen, one for ???

Our strike squad now also contains three different people representing paths forward for Gwendlyn.
Sadrina is the blessing of Isha.
Johanna is the perserverance of will.
Kerillian is the way of the Asrai.

I am so looking forward to them all meeting her.

[X] Turning A Bloody Leaf: The Asrai do not disdain Khaine as the Asur do. Rather than elevating the Cadai or Cytharai, they worship both, in a sort of strange wheel of all things as best as you remember. Which means that, while they do not have the Cult of Khaine with its Cauldrons of Blood and endless sacrifices, they do still in fact have their ways of worshipping him. Ways that are quite different. Kerillian now wields the First Draich, one of the holiest murder weapons in the whole of the Cult of Khaine, and it appears to not be rejecting her. It would disgruntle the Asur, assuredly, and no doubt the Bretonnians as well, but if Kerillian can somehow 'convert' these few incredibly fresh-faced acolytes to your cause, you can't deny that it would allow you access to a few more no doubt skilled fighters despite their youth. If they foreswear the Cult they know, in the favor of the worship held beneath eternal trees and dark shadows of a forest born before humanity may well have ever existed. If. If they don't, they'll have to leave. If they do, the Asur and Whitewings will likely not be incredibly pleased...but so long as Sadrina's heart bleeds compassion and Roland can impress on matters of honor and chivalry and the worth of one's word, it is a problem that can be solved.

I think of Kerillian as a crossover character rather than a member of the core cast - she shows up for a few fights then goes her own way again. This is the start of the Kerrilian: Champion of Khain arc in her own series wherein she has to teach a bunch of teenage bloodlust Khainites how to be proper sneaky murder Khainites, meddle in Druchii religious politics and make her own escape from a sinking Ark to set up Kerrilian: Mammoth Hunter (or somehow end up in charge for Kerrilian: Pirate Queen.) Basically she's Conan.

Strategically, our aim is to keep the civil war going as long and hot as possible to ensure maximum destruction and especially maximum damage to Alyssa's side. Two groups cover more ground and hit more targets than one. Especially since team Kerillian can coordinate with Druchii factions unlike team Nat. That's well worth losing Kerillian's combat power from team Nat. It's the option that leads to the weakest opposition when we go for the rescue and should reduce the number and strength of attempts to catch team Nat by splitting the heat. When Nat is on the offensive she can pick her fights and stack the odds in her favour, so minimising the number of rolls she has to make at all where the enemy has the initiative is a bigger boost to her survival than another combat bonus. There is of course the risk that Kerrilian loses control and we lose her for no great benefit but she seems confident.

Keeping Kerillian is not a bad option. Team Nat is not so overpowered that Kerillian's contribution won't be welcome, especially now she's powered up. A staightforward power boost in fights contributes to Nat's survival and the rescue attempt, not to mention she's the best sneak in the party (unless that's Johanna). Meanwhile the young Brides will undoubtedly cause plenty of casualties before they go down, they won't accomplish more than that but that's all we intended for them anyway. It's OK but the above option is stronger.

Taking the Brides with us is unworkable. The damage they'd do to cohesion and discipline outweighs their value as fighters.

Natasha is a Kislev royal with a mission mainlining Winter. The girls' fate is not a consideration and she'll let Kerillian risk herself without qualms if the payoff is worth it.
