There is, of course, the other possibility for disclosure: if we spread the information far enough, it is worth dying for.

If we disclose through writing, does the reaction happen:
  1. when we write it down?
  2. the first time someone reads it?
  3. every time someone reads it?
  4. not at all?
All of these are gameable, but the approach will differ.

what if we do disclosure on Christian lands?

better yet. lets do disclosure in the middle of Jurgdby's capital, and let the jarl deal with the mess

how many foeman do you think Steinarr can take?
Most likely leads to the Enemy doing the attack when we arrive home.

99.9999% Guarantees death by Steelfather even if we somehow survive.

Depends on the Foemen. Apparently they're cultivators too. But probably an arbitrary amount, pending the situation.

I think it might be worth adding a mention of using Sailwind to boost the ranged attack speed of our attacks.

It may also be worth grabbing Chuck so we can throw rocks.

Kindle Spinner is already fast and this would be prety wildly expensive at 21 Orthstirr per usage. I am not convinced it would even make a difference. If we were using Sparkbomb, yes, but for Kindle Spinners? They're probably at their target before it even activates.

Fair enough. No reason not to.

Is Fireside Barrage useless due to Fire Resist, or is it worth keeping slotted to try and break through armor?

Sure.

Ahem

If you were to slowly trickle in heavily filtered odr, you will eventually ease them into cultivation. That is one way of doing it and likely the safest.

So, basically, we just need to make a Seidr Spell that just opens the Gate a tiny crack and presumably puts a filter in, and maintain it for a bit?

Or are we talking "Just use your own Odr to do it with, which has already been 'Tamed' ?"

So taking a mote of Halla odr and trying to put it through someone elses gate?
Well, one theory confirmed by qm.
edit: nope seems Seid that prefilters is the qm approved way.

Huh, so something like Odr Soulshock, where we filter odr through several layers of filters made from our orthstirr - only instead of letting in a tiny bit of odr all at once, we trickle in miniscule amounts of odr over an extended period of time?

And presumably we do it in the Farm's perimeter to reduce the influx further still.

But yeah, huh, we just need to develop a spell that takes all those components and puts them together, and we can initiate people pretty safely.

"Do it wrong, but in exactly the right way" indeed.

That will be very useful if we go with Sigurd as heir.
Put all the stuff you need to know for successful cultivation (like weaving) into poems and bribe a Skald or two to spread them.
Have Sigurds travel (before the big Varangian arc) Norse lands and do the Seid initiation for everyone he trusts. (He could also learn to be a Skald. Why is he always traveling? Because he feels like it. Because as a Skald he gathers material for stories!)

Spreads the knowledge and avoids the secret sect trope.

Hallbjorn's honestly the most likely of our kids to become a Skald, he's got all the traits to be a great one.
