@Boney What was the "fun" option for the Stirland tributaries? Was it Roswita/Tochter being unable to get Jade ritualists and being forced to find another group to do it?

An another aside I got the first Gotrek and Felix Omnibus recently and Gotrek is... not how I'd imagined him.

In the spirit of "The Lord Magisters are all problem children" I now present the unordered list of Lady and Lord Magister's off the books research\break glass in case of apocalypse.

Tomb King Architecture/ Rebuilding Nagash's pyramid Grey wizard edition
Time travel

Dude I just work here.^
Theurgy
Spell of Summon Treasury.

Morathi's "Taking your pleasure"
The annotated diary of Freddie V. Hal
The big book of Motive Power"
Might be a spell. Probably.

Some LMs are harder to make things up for than others.

Speculation: The updates brings up this possibly being within the wheelhouse of the Council of Manhorak. Likewise, that the ritualists confirmed with the council that only lesser spirits and not the water gods of Sylvania were involved.

Whether by the priests of the Council, or foolish Journemen who looked to empower a spirit and got a god, a god like Manhorak or Bylorak being empowered and enraged by the failure of a ritual would certainly be a ~Fun~ result.

[X] Sofia

Sienna is cool, Panoramia is cool, so half Sienna half Panoramia would probably be cool.

[X] Gretel

Gretel is cool.

[X] Druchii Diplomats

I just think they're neat.

Standard votes to clear out the back catalogue.

[x] Elementalism
[x] House Filuan

From among the top picks I'd want to see.

I have to say waiting to check in on Filuan until a time they're actually building something seems more interesting to me than now when the boats for their imports haven't even started construction yet. Meanwhile at the gold college we might find anything, even a boatgas mask!

Depending on what they're building it could have a pretty big impact on the politics of Laurelorn. Just rebuilding one of the Towers would be a pretty big deal.

It makes me curious. And learning more about Laurelorn politics is crucial to navigating Laurelorn politics.

There's nothing much to say about being curious. But I don't really agree Mathilde needs some first mover information here to navigate Laurelorn politics, I think she'd be fine just finding out organically when it spreads through the grapevine.
the problem is that the social votes are the grape vine, we heard that the Drukii are doing stuff, so we can go vote to see whats up.

we heard that House Filuan is doing stuff, so we can vote to go see whats up.

we heard about how the cult of Uric is butting heads over the elves, so we can vote to go see whats up.

this is the first mover information. but the thread doesn't want to bite.

Hashut +3 - Extensive Imperial / Dwarven
Given that the Elementalists don't seem to have earned a visit by a Chaos Dwarf submarine taking a detour while dropping off hobgoblins for Lady Magister Grey to dissect, I'm guessing they learned their lesson after their interactions with the Ice Witches and Brettonia and just got the books about the God they were interested in and keeping quiet about it rather than asking for permission and learning that the worst they can say is not in fact "no".
'Father of Darkness'
I wonder, is that darkness in the sense of Dark Magic, darkness in a good or neutral sense such as the darkness of the night or a calm and soothing darkness, or does it refer to the darkness deep underground? And how does an association with darkness mesh with Hashut's association with fire? Wait, we already know of a God associated with darkness and fire, Gazul. Are the light consuming flames of Zharrvengryn connected to Hashut in some way? ...Let's not mention that speculation to the Dwarves. Especially since if Hashut predates Gazul that wouldn't imply that Hashut stole from Gazul but that Gazul stole Zharrvengryn from Hashut.
The norm is to reach a solid grounding in all four and then pick the one they've found the best affinity with or have the most use for to specialize in.
So are all Elementalists able to do basic Elemental magic with the three elements they don't specialize in? Are there any Elementalist equivalent of Arcane Marks that render them unable to use other elements?
Would stone have an association with any wind? Stone is an excellent insulator of magic, I don't expect it to be associated with Hysh.
Hysh is the Wind of order and stone is associated with order. That said it isn't a particularly strong association and stone is still an insulator Hysh by default, just less so than to the other Winds. This is also part of why the Light Order built a giant pyramid made of stone in the middle of Altdorf.

Now that we know that Waaagh is a type of magic all it's own I wonder if it's possible to make a Waaagh powerstone. I can't see a greenskin doing it unprompted, but it is an interesting idea and if possible it would make doing that greenskins summoning ritual idea far more feasible.
