And if I might ask, have the tanks been deployed yet, or are we keeping them in reserve/not in melee?

So about that.

Pretty sure the end of the update mentioned that IC, Frederick does not know the placement or status of most of his forces. Not enough time to get an exhaustive report of his remaining assets.

^this

@torroar can we have our artillery make one volley at the enemy infantry before switching to whatever the main target is?

I didn't put in write-in for a lot of the things, but...sure, okay. Make it a write-in as part of your plan vote.

[X] Unleash the Martyrs with fire support!
-[X] Release the Flagellants onto the enemy as the elites attempt to advance to reach the Final Wall of Salkalten, then let the cavalry follow behind to wreak havoc before retreating back through the gates
-[X] Focus on the enemy artillery that is now present on the battlefield
-- [X] make one volley at the enemy infantry just before flaggelants charge in, to disrupt the enemy formation.
-[X] Re-task the Eonir to focusing on the flyers to support the Whitewings and Oskana+Natasha with their superior accuracy ensuring no chance of friendly fire
-[X] Stay on the walls, which carries its own dangers

Same as basic unleash the martyrs but with danger close artillery volley for extra shock

I appreciate the vote, but you didn't copy the plan completly.

So... How embarrassed are the Caledorians going to be if we somehow survive this whole shebang and it turns out that their navy fucked off to the wrong place, missed two beached black arks and Caledor's bane was defeated in an air duel by two humans and a colonial.
I choose to believe they'll just be happy he's dead, no matter who did it.

Between the two most voted options, I think this is the best one. Freddy is, in the end, the commander of our forces, and right now he doesn't even know the status of most of them. If/when the enemy break through the gates, then he can rally our troops and come to the defenders' help, but in the meantime he will be a lot more useful by putting his tactical expertise to good use, and the walls are the best position from where to do so. Let Freddy recover a bit for when Tullaris or some other enemy elite inevitably tries to directly fight him, but it doesn't look like they're immediately going to take the field, so for now Frederick is IMO much more useful as a leader and tactician.

I'm also not sure about the fire support variant, BTW. The artillery firing just before the flagellants charge might be counter-productive, as if the Druchii disperse themselves a bit to minimize damage that might reduce the efectiveness of the bomb-wielding flagellants, who will cause more casualties the thighter the enemy soldiers are packed up.

Mostly because I want him to keep trying to retain morale. Since this is one of the stuff the dark elves continue to try to damage.

Plus, while I can be completely wrong, but I prefer if the chosen need to use stealth (or 'just' 'enough murdering power') to reach the MC, without his own honor guard of dark elves. It is my believe he would have a better change at stealth if the MC were at the gate. since the dude 'disappeared' so fast after speaking (and seems to have tried to help cheap shot).

So, I want the MC at the top of the wall.

I'm not sure which ones preferable right now, tbh.

Morale attacks are part and parcel of the Druchii package, and frankly unless the Druchii are willing to risk committing all three of their remaining Commanders alongside their Heroic Iron Tarrasque against fucking Freddy of all things I don't see the threat scale ramping significantly further in the short term.

We're kind of back to the grinding aspects of the battle, though the committing of the Speaker of Khaine to the fight means that the threat ceiling in question is stupidly fucking considerable.

It's a bit of a conundrum lol

Ok glad that we killed Caldor's Bane after a few clashes and that Freddy has his first major Dark Elf kill!

That's going on the list.

On the other hand, man it sucks that our ground forces got hit hard and lost half of our cannons. Granted we lost the mercs which are usually the chaff we need to prevent our main forces from suffering severely.

Hopefully the suicidal bombers manage to get good damage in so our forces can hold. Also that Natasha and the remaining flyers can beat that hag witch and make us three for three with the dragon riders.

Though we also have to deal with the executioner, so we may need Urgdug or the Eonir elite with us to take him down.

Also hopefully after the battle we can find a way to replenish our forces before Beastbowl comes up.
