Not fully. One of his three known mutations is a Hypnotic Gaze, but the second is Musk, which is a physical thing (or I think it's supposed to be one) that you physical smell, and the third is a grotesque fleshy arm. I don't know if there's a Flesh Type Pokemon, but he would fit in that category.
Sounds like psychic/fighting.
Which makes him neutral to dark...
Do we have any fairy attacks?
Or Flying?

Mathilde has the authority to make that happen.

I already confirmed with Boney that we can dissapear him for interrogation. There is no risk if we do that, just adjust the transcript as needed. In the meantime Hoclander can roll up the chaos cult and everybody wins.

noteably, Boney said that Mathilde has the authority to dissapear the guy. He said nothing about risks. Assessing the risks and benefits involved is still up to us.

Further, regarding the 'we can just offload this to the longshanks/hochlander/witch hunters part
When it's a former Elector Count fallen to Chaos, Algard absolutely would stonewall Alric to keep that secret buried. This is the sort of nightmare scenario the Grey Order was made to make disappear.

I would presume that if we want Algard to stonewall Alric like this, then the ones taking care of this should probably still be the Grey Order, if we dont want to do it ourself. Longshanks or Witch Hunters might still be willing to let Alric help with the case. And if we go out of our way to bring the EIC into this case this late then Algard has even less ground to call this a high secrecy case to stonewall Alric. (why do all these names start with an A? it is so confusing)

To be blunt, I still dont see how capture can be worth the risk.

Either we offload the interrogation to the Grey college and risk them finding some details that might or might not endanger Heidi's (fake) backstory. (Him outright saying that she isnt from his family is arguably less of a worry; Heidi's cover will have accounted for people checking her story in general before she gets to marry the emperor)
We sorta wanted to avoid having to roll the dice on this, so this seems like a bad option to me.

We could also take care of the interrogation ourself, but besides this taking some time, the main issue is that we dont really have a good excuse for this to get this in line with our stated informal goal of poaching Alric's credit. It makes us seem much more invested into this case than we reasonably should be.

[X] Kill: Branulhune

[x] Kill: Dragonflask

Would rather not get close. Also drama seems to be part of the point.

So here's my worry.

My personal theory behind how Heidi managed to fool several incredibly skilled and highly funded organisations (Emperor's Eyes, Witch Hunters, Colleges, Cult of Sigmar etc.) is not that she had a foolproof story. Personally I think it would be utterly ridiculous to expect her to have conjured one out of thin air within such a short time that resulted in all these organisations somehow missing that she never existed.

My theory behind how she managed to fool all of them is simple. Ranald spending the majority of the juice he got from Gork and Mork on this one gambit. If Ranald, one of the Old World's Major Gods, expends all the energy he stole, he could make any number of coincidences and lucky breaks occur to make it so that all the different organisations never come across the exact leads they need or come to false conclusions, creating an effective comedy of errors.

The problem here is that I don't think Ranald can do that again on a whim, not without another Gork (or possibly Mork) incident. Which isn't exactly a common occurence. This isn't to say that her story is full of holes and easily discoverable or anything, but that I wouldn't want to risk the Empire's organisations checking again.

[X] Kill: Shadow Knives

Switching to this since I think it would be more pleasing to Ranald, though still not very pleasing to Ranald since it's using Night Prowler for assassination. But Kill is winning firmly so I can be picky.

My main objective here is to fully minimise reasons for Mira to ask why Mathilde went above and beyond.

Stopping a chaos cultist is good for its own sake, but doing that with the additional intention of hinting we'd like more help if said help costs Mira very little seems like something Mira would consider more plausible.

Normally, gently hinting we'd like Mira's additional gratitude for something she did not ask for would leave a bad taste in my mouth too, except for two things:

2. Further reducing the chances of Mira ever looking into 'why Mathilde went above and beyond' is more important to me.
1. The waystone project is an honest good that Mathilde belives in. Hinting that 'some tiny amount extra help with such things sure would be lovely' is not for Mathilde's personal gain, but to help the world.

It's basically taking your "Mira likes us" outcome and vaguely and lightly trying to leverage it immediately to help the world, rather than your long-term leverage idea.

The Greys' reputation is that you don't know they're behind it. Mathilde drawing attention like this is very atypical and might even bring it down. "Yes, they can get stuff done, but I want this done without anyone knowing it was them, so who else can do it?"

The Grey College is MI6. Mathilde is James Bond.

Mathilde is a secret agent who's name and identity are well known and who does ridiculously flashy but effective stuff.
However while everybody is distracted and watches her shenanigans, the MI6 Grey College gets shit done.

To be fair to Alric, him moving the target to an excellent defensive position and keeping an eye on them made our job easier. We did not have to play defense at all, and it also meant that Alberich was in the mousetrap of Taalheim in the first place.

Of course, that's the sort of thing that gets an appreciative nod, and maybe a few college favors. It's not a great deed, which is what he wanted. But he did worthwhile work here.

Mathilde still totally punked him though, but that's because this whole operation went basically perfect (unless the dice really screw us at the last moment). It's a gossip perfect (because Greys don't write this sort of thing down in textbooks, but they sure gossip about it) grey order operation. Identify the plot, figure out the perpetrator, gather all necessary information, take them down.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but Alkharad had literal centuries more experience than Alberich.
Alkharad also had centuries more exprience than Mathilde. Mathilde had unique opportunities, but so did Alberich, who teleported to the timey wimey Chaos Dimension and survived, which means he likely had a powerful patron. I feel like I'm repeating myself at this point.

I suppose that's just different priorities. I'm fine taking the long view and not using the gratitude we have as leverage now in order to build a bigger advantage later. I think I'd prefer that over immediate advantages. This is a bit of a long term project after all.

So potentially a Psychic/Dark.
Still fairy type attacks for double damage.
Pity we don't have any of the We with us, they would do quadruble damage against him. :V
I suspect that Al is Fairy/Psychic, myself. Partly because of the pink colour, and partly because we saw with Deathfang that Slaanesh has a type that's super-effective against dragons (and obviously isn't ice or dragon). Which makes Steel the correct choice, in my book.

That is true, but it's also not the sort of thing that covers you in glory, especially if you're the Patriarch of the Light College. It would be a fine deed for a Magister, not so much for his purposes to return in style.

Personally i'd rather cultivate a reputation of actually doing our job without trying to trade favours for it.
Yes, favour trading is the name of the game more often than not, but once we have cultist performing rituals to the ruinous powers, that should go out the window.

Mira asked us to take a peek on Alric as a favour, we did.
We happened to find a chaos cultist doing a ritual in the process, and dealt with it.
We find a problem, we deal with the problem, we then report that there is no (longer a) problem.
It's like the necromancer school in miniature.
It creates a reputation that makes people take notice if/when we come to them with a problem undealt, because if we have not already dealt with it, it has to be serious.
