Given all the crap that happened during the interlude, I doubt telling the Elves about the Ark was a high priority for Freddy. We can tell them about it whenever the next meeting happens.

Or we could hire and fire no mercenaries until the Elector's Meet. I don't want to take up more RL time that hiring mercs we won't be guaranteed to use will bring. I also want to save as much cash as we can for when our third research action becomes unlocked. That'll cut into our resources.
Can we even do both? I thought we could only fire, or hire, but not both.

First off, they are only down to 500 because of the battles they fought for us, before that they were at 1000 just like Leopold's Leopard Company. Second, that still gives them more men then many of the mercenary groups we've hired. Third, they are all skilled pikemen, and even reduced to 500, that's still very noticeable amount when added to all the other pikemen we've hired(and pikemen are at their best the more of them you've got).

I understand that. That said, Frederick apparently hasn't mentioned the Lodge after the Elector's Meet nor during any of the Trident Meetings since he found out more about them from Hagrid. He would have had ample opportunity to mention it in private with them then, but didn't. I think there's probably an IC reason for that. One reason is the way Magnus addressed the Lodge in private before. I'm sure there's a reason for that. But I do wonder if there's further reason for Frederick not bringing up what he found out (after the Meet) with Stephen and Ortrud. I asked @torroar for clarification.
If it's simply a matter of it falling through the cracks then perhaps it is something that should be shared, so long as it stays mostly quiet. I suspect the reason to keep things quiet is to avoid rampant paranoia against all halflings and to keep the Lodge from escalating. I might vote to include the Lodge under that circumstance.

We should probably tell the Electors and family at least. So that an eye can be kept on it without being forgotten across generations, and as a last resort to blow the whistle.

I'm still wary of the reason why Frederick hasn't said anything of it yet (right after the Meet is perfectly clear, that was a private meeting, but does that reason apply to what he discovered in the years afterward) when he's had plenty of opportunity to during Trident Meetings before. So, waiting for word on that.
But I don't like the Kislev part of the 'threats and trade deals' vote. It's not relevant to their concerns since they have no intention of ever getting involved with Kislev's internal affairs anyway.
So, even if it turns out there isn't a IC reason to continue to keep quiet on the Lodge, at least to Ortrud and Stephen, I don't think I'm voting for 'Threats and Trade Deals' because of the Kislev bit. It also doesn't seem fair to change my plan all of a sudden, so I might just make a slightly different plan depending on the response from torroar.

We are going to have a disgusting amount of money to play with next turn. With the latest infusion of funds thanks to Sabine's actions against the guilds, we should have 43,308 gold crowns to play with next turn when you combine our net income and reserves.
