In comparison to a renewable full heal item for almost half the cost. The window between being un-savable with HoH and being un-savable with regrowth is too small for 4 more favors worth of cost. This is insane, you are arguing that make raising people from the dead might be a bit of a bother.
We could change the course of the entire war with this ability. We can change the course of the entire quest with this item.
It's a renewable resurrection item. One we can set up to resurrect ourselves.
I liked our old hat.And after some thought, you put your usual grey hat you've been wearing since you were an apprentice on your desk, and put Abelhelm's leather hat atop your head.
The four more favors is for having to be killed twice in the same go in order for it to stick. In comparison to a renewable full heal item for almost half the cost. The window between being un-savable with HoH and being un-savable with regrowth is too small for 4 more favors worth of cost.

It is entirely appropriate for a setting where the apocalypse is constantly delayed by the sacrifice of heroes, and average people alike all to keep the hope for a better tomorrow alive just a little bit longer.Just means we need to get good enough to carry the weight.
Strictly speaking though, this is 100% BoneyM shaking up canon. Realistically speaking, "The Empress is part of a secret society that's bent on subverting major institutions of the Empire and beyond" has... Uh, zero canon backing whatsoever, and the very idea of them getting that level of influence in the Grey Order in the first place when they're so infamously closed off is a change.
So even if this is the case, the butterflies started flapping their wings long before the game started, this was just the logical final result of it.
Uh given how core change are to the WoM if you want intentional immortality Necromancy, and Chamon are the only guaranteed* ways whereas the other 7 Winds it is mostly a matter of having the courage to push your limits enough that doing so alters your soul, enough luck that the alteration are neither chaotic, nor fatal, and avoiding death from the numerous unnatural causes. Also means we need to find a way of Immortality that doesn't involved selling our soul so we can be around to help during the End Times.
A normal wolf with the soul of a Priest of Ranald, though...
Maybe? It's hinted pretty heavily, but I'm not sure. It could just be a normal magic wolf messing with us because Wolf told it to, or something.
*Shrug* Espeth Von Draken managed to find a way. I'm sure we can.Uh given how core change are to the WoM if you want intentional immortality Necromancy, and Chamon are the only guaranteed* ways whereas the other 7 Winds it is mostly a matter of having the courage to push your limits enough that doing so alters your soul, enough luck that the alteration are neither chaotic, nor fatal, and avoiding death from the numerous unnatural causes.
*The former is based off a book of a litch, and the latter is pretty much alchemy with a few additions, but how it works is up to our QM I suppose.
You, sir, have just earned my vote.I liked our old hat.
[X] Regrowth - Ghyran, instantly restores someone to full health from any state up to and including 'recently dead'. -9 College Favours
Combo this with Dread Aspect and Crown of Fire, and we're basically one of the most dangerous morale weapons Order's got.
"DID YOU REALLY BELIEVE IT WOULD BE THIS EASY!?"
I'm pretty sure some of them would literally die from fright.
Does Regrowth also cure disease and cleanse poisons? The difference is slightly more than that - HoH heals wounds but doesn't, for example, regrow limbs.
