Do they have any unmentioned drawbacks or limitations such as having to be recharged after use in specific conditions or having so many usages per a day?
There's none. It's all worked stone. Earth Blood would not work there. For a Dwarven Hold? Eh. Depends on how much Unworked stone there actually could be.
We've done this before, and I'd like to do it again.
It could probably work in skaven and goblin tunnels though there has to be thousands of them by now. There's none. It's all worked stone. Earth Blood would not work there.
Curious, I know this could be just dwarven pride, but is there worry that humanity could eventually catch up to the dwarves? The second is to finally begin unloading the niter crystals that the Gong Farmer's factory has been producing for quite some time now. You pack a sample and visit the hold of Zhufbar once more, your good name there getting you inside the massive gates and an introduction to a dwarf high up enough in the Guild of Engineers to authorize purchases. He takes your sample and disappears into the depths of the Hold to perform a series of tests on it, and emerges days later to reluctantly admit that the sample is remarkably pure; not just for manling craft, but by dwarven standards. He's greatly relieved when you tell him you had dwarven help when setting up the factory.

@BoneyM For regrowth how recent is recent, a few minutes, an hour, a day?

... Is it bad if my first thought is "At least we know where it is"?Finally, you visit the catacombs of Eagle Castle in a visit you've been putting off for some time now; you're not sure if the current Elector Countess would have allowed it so you didn't bother to ask. Abelhelm's tomb is plain and unadorned except for a plaque with his name and the date of his fall, though fresh flowers have been placed atop it. You place a hand atop the cool stone of the casket Abelhelm lies within. Time stretches out as you stand there.

I know why it strikes said chord with me; because the empire has failed both us and the dwarves in the same way due to infighting, but that never stopped Zhuftbar from helping us. So though the empire (of Sigmar) has failed the dwarves, humanity doesn't have to.> [ ] As a representative of the Empire, honouring the ancient alliance between Man and Dwarf.
I don't know why Men PCs honoring the ancient alliance with Dwarvenkind strikes such a chord with me, but so it does. (Not a vote)

You remember him falling, you remember the failure of all that could have helped. You remember your helpless rage as he slipped away.
But you also remember the extermination of all those responsible. The death of she who was plotting evil in the heart of Sylvania. And the total destruction of Castle Drakenhof, the home of seven centuries of nightmares.
"We did it," you say. "We changed the world we live in."
@BoneyM just so you know, you didn't add the Piety Increase yet.
Eeeeh...
Heh. FYI, there will be hundreds of thousands of greenskins in the depths, too. Hopefully we can befriend the expeditions Halfling Field Chef Brigade.Hey, @vsh , you know what you can add to the Gandalf comparisons?
Balrog comparisons.
Dread Aspect + Torc of Fire + Grey Magic + spelunking a lost dwarven hold + cowardly skaven. Mathilde could totally pull off inspiring some "A dread being of shadow and flame has come. Fly! Fly you fools! This is a foe beyond any of you!"
Not to mention Ironhammer has already lost alot of faith in the Empire at the Elector's Meet, when the infighting was so bad, that he outright stormed out of the place in disgust. Grey Order is acceptable because of how independently it operates but saying The Empire sent us? Prooooooooobably not going to get a good reaction from him.Hmm. I can't help but feel like Mathilde presenting herself as a representative of the Empire looking to fulfil ancient oaths is a bad idea, mostly for two reasons.
Firstly... claiming that is a massive overreach. She's not here on the orders or request of another, and the Empire itself is providing no formal assistance to Belegar's mission, which is why he got frustrated and decided to put out the call for basically anyone who wanted in to come meet him. Framing the appearance of a single wizard as a sign of oaths repaid kind of cheapens their value and highlights how the Empire is only sending a single wizard, rather than a small army of professional troops.
Secondly... well, it's not true. Mathilde isn't going to Karak Eight Peaks because of her ancestor's oaths, she's going because she wants adventure, or perhaps just to get well clear of the Empire for a bit and find herself. The professional relationship she has with Belegar is going to be incredibly important for her chances of survival and glory, so I strongly recommend against lying to the dude on the first meeting.
