Why would we give her runefang? She's not worthy of her father's legacy. Keep and set up a plan to give it to an heir worthy of his legacy

I'm all for spiting the shit out of her. Dismantle the information network I say.

[X] Plan Hermit Mage

To be fair, keeping it around risks temptation on our part.

At least in her hands, we know she won't do anything stupid with it.

That's not really clear, since "Anything Stupid" can include "Openly hand it over to the Grand Theogenist--who in the current political climate, will almost certainly crow about it hard enough that literally every villanous faction is going to descend on it with full forst."

Or even worse. "Try to destroy it".

Or worst of all "Destroy it and the Wizard who is certainly tainted by it and can't be trusted"

@BoneyM is it possible to take the rubefang for a few day until she catchs its gone and give it back to her.

Like:
The Runefang of Stirland
-[X] Give
--[X] After she cracks the encrypted note on her desk telling her you took it and reminding her to be more careful in matters of intrigue if you are going to fire your spymaster.

If you intend to keep the Gong Farmers you should not give her our report on the last 8 years. I am pretty sure that we mentioned the underground expansion of the watch in there, so the next spymaster would have legit beef with us over that if he knows about it.

But yeah, seriously, let's not give the wizard hater an actual excuse and legitimate cause to declare us rogue and have us murdered, she has the authority to do this.

[X] Plan Fruits of Labor.
EDIT: this plan was reformated and renamed as []Plan Keeping the Fruits of our Hard Labor. and you shoud vote for that if interested.

Remenber people is our information network, that we should have a gray mae and that synerizes with the EIC, so her new spymaster can build a new one for her.

[X]Gong Farmers and Niter Factory
-[X] Keep
We spent dwarf favor on this and will need it to fund our network.

[X]Discretionary Funds
-[X] Keep

Where will you call home now?

[X] You're quite comfortable where you are, thank you very much. Wurtbad is your position of power; Spymistress was just one arrow in your quiver.
It our base of power were all our stuff is.

Staying in Stirland:
[x] Enjoy a well-deserved holiday catching up with personal projects and living off your accumulated embezzlement.
-[x] Managing your institutions - the EIC, your land, and the Information Network and Gong Farmers if retained.

First a vacation them back to work.
Either:
[X] Return to Altdorf to face the Magister's tests, and determine what to do with your life later.
Way past time we did this.

Quick question @BoneyM might I ask what the difference is between staying in our Sunken Palace is compared to our Estate? Also if we stayed can I assume that we can approach the new spymaster and size them up?

It changes where you live and operate out of. Do you want to have your eyes and ears out in Wurtbad or do you want to be comfortably insulated from the new Elector Countess in your estate?

@BoneyM is it possible to take the rubefang for a few day until she catchs its gone and give it back to her.

Of course it's possible, no part of this is even remotely outside the realms of possibility. What you seem to be asking is whether it's a good idea, which is something you need to decide for yourself.

Retooling my previous spread so that we don't end up with everything exploding.

[X] Plan: Keep Severance Pay, Give everything else
-[X] Give Everything except the Repeater, Discretionary Funds, and Liber Mortis
-[X] Good riddance to Wurtbad; you've got a nice bit of land up in the hills and a commitment to invest in it, and some solitude will do you good. Lock up the Sunken Palace in case you ever need a safehouse in the future.
-[X] Return to Altdorf to face the Magister's tests, and determine what to do with your life later.

Now seriously, the damn Runefang is not a toy people. It's most certainly not something we're allowed to screw around with because we're pissed. It's Important. Like, for Stirland and the Empire at large.

I'd also like to stick around in Wurtbad. You know, keep her on her toes. Who knows what we're doing just outside her keep. Look at us! Buying groceries, chatting with friends. Reading *impure literature*! And the Liber Mortis.

Nah, we need to be more subtle. Just start giving back what we'll give her.

Over time. In new and varying disguises.

The Dwarfs did us a hell of a solid back there--and more importantly, we're an Enchanter. Literally nobody in the world is better at that then the Dwarfs--and there are few ways to more legitimately earn instruction than assisting in one of their campaigns. Asarnil was a close second mind you, but ultimately, he needs the backup more.

Of course, at the same time, a magic user and Dwarves, well....

...Would it be petty if we left the runefang embedded into her desk?

Nah, under the circumstances, us not having it buried so the Gong Farmers have to dig it out and return it to her... Now there's a idea.

Depends, some people would probably think destroying Liber Mortis is stupid and she might do that.

Eh, is it really stupid?

Why would we give her runefang? She's not worthy of her father's legacy. Keep and set up a plan to give it to an heir worthy of his legacy

Because I like breathing? We take that Runefang, there's no way in hell we make it past a week before we get declared rogue.

Fair enough. let me clarify that:

She won't try to experiment with it. Or do anything other then lock it away somewhere.

Apart from it being a symbol of an Elector Count? Keeping the Runefang is a very quick path to the Empire hunting us. As good as we are, I doubt we want to compete against the forces of the Imperial Spymaster.

My thoughts are

Report on the past eight years
-[] Keep

She highly likely wont believe anything we have written anyway so why bother and I admit I'm vindictive enough that I want her to have to come to us and ask us for it.

The Runefang of Stirland
-[] Give

We have to do this, People will likely know it was recovered and keeping it is basically treason and we don't want to give the new elector countess an excuse.

Abelhelm's repeater rifle
-[] Keep

This is a momento for us and there is not real reason to give it back.

Liber Mortis.
-[] Keep

Van Hal Gave it to us and his heir will likely do something stupid with it like try to burn it from her views on magic

Miscellaneous contents of Abelhelm's Study
-[] Keep

again no reason to give it back unless she asks for it.

Information Network
-[] Give

keeping this is a drain on us we cannot keep up for now, we can always restart it later

Gong Farmers and Niter Factory
-[] Keep
can't think of a reason not to keep

Discretionary Funds
-[] Keep

severance pay :)

[] You're quite comfortable where you are, thank you very much. Wurtbad is your position of power; Spymistress was just one arrow in your quiver.

as the option say's this is our position of power we are still a knight and one of the leaders of EIC we need to ensure we stay that way. also it will probably drive the new countess crazy having a magic user close to her that she has to treat as nobility.

And what will you be doing?

Staying in Stirland:

[] Managing your institutions - the EIC, your land, and the Information Network and Gong Farmers if retained.
[] see if you can find a position for Anton in the EIC, he did resign for us and loyalty like that should always be returned

[] Return to Altdorf to face the Magister's tests, and determine what to do with your life later.

lets consolidate our power and then take a break afterwards. We should also get our Magister's title to ensure no one can contest our claim to be outside of the colleges

as such I vote we

Anyway though, normally, you're right in that Wizard + Dwarfs is a bad mix.

But we've got the third highest Dwarf Rep in the Empire right now.

I'm pretty sure Mathilde counts as the Exception that Proves the Rule.

Get our Magister title, and then send a letter declaring our interest and how we'll be along once we finish it.

Eh I think a good chunk of the playerbase are still suffering PTSD from Dwarf Vietnam.
