honestly the chances of someone wishing to be friends with a museum ship making a ship girl is likely the same as someone wishing to be friends with a mountain and getting a spirit friend or some such.

Though we should probably disclaim that "everything" includes... Is there even a way to non-spoilery summarize what's happening anymore? It's even more tapdancing on an interpersonal minefield than normal Homura-social. And Madoka is either under some external influence*, or extremely problematic right now, and it's unclear as to which it is. Just warning, in case that's not your cup of tea.

*Madoka's actions are problematic whether or not she's under some external influence, to clarify

To be precise, it's actually the ending of that particular incident.
She'd been shipgirl and Homucifer for some time before, but after that she became Shipgirl Homucifer, if that make sense.

Have we ever tried sparring while using Grief besides this time with Yuki? I don't really mean "Microwave tea and everything in the 100m radius", but not just Wings and armor, either.

I'm asking all this, because I am pretty sure there is a spar tomorrow. Granted, still about two months irl, but-

"Nidus" and "Nydus" are pronounced exactly the same way. For Sayaka to correct Sabrina in the omake, she'd have to be able to see Sabrina's exact spelling, as if she was reading the text herself, instead of just listening.

It's a "Sayaka is an angel" joke. (Which, as a side note, I'm finding increasingly unfunny.) Homura is covering for Sayaka being able to do unusual things, probably because she's post-Homucifer in the omake.

Alternatively, it's just Homura covering for Sayaka being a Starcraft fan. Someone can absolutely say "nihdus network" instead of "niedus network" after all.

She hated us from the moment she saw us.

And if she really lacks the self-awareness and honesty to admit that that incident was entirely her own fault (something which her own leader drilled into her head), I don't know why Rin doesn't give her a hard time every time badmouths Sabrina (assuming she doesn't already).

Speaking of time-limited. Oriko's memories of her visions are fading, and there's still that thing I want to ask her: Reading through things a lot of her despair comes from her absolute certainty in the accuracy of her visions, save for only us and Feathers... but if her certainty is broken, especially by an action she can take, it should give her a spot of hope.

As it so happens, I think that possibility exists in the idea that she cannot see the results of herself changing. She's historically been unable to make any progress learning enchanting via her visions, and IIRC she likewise needed to be told how healing worked by us. The biggest flaw in the idea is her making a bomb, but if that came of Kirika's help or without her peering into the future first, it could have happened.

This can also be tied into how the Oriko of Symmetry Diamond got control of her visions: When she talks with Yuma she talks about "being the person you want to be", which could well have come from or sparked an epiphany.

(It even makes a sort of sense for her wish: She wished to know her life's meaning. So her power shows her that meaning, via the viewing the results of being who she is as she is now.)

Some of this is new, much is not, and I've spoken of this elsewhere, but I felt it should be reiterated and put in the thread proper.


It's arguable whether or not Homura got the implications of what Oriko said but, yeah, she was there. I can't find Oriko and Sayaka talking about it though. Closest they come in the update where they confront each other is going from "you tried to kill me" to "Feathers."


I'm not sure how to fit this in in the space allotted.

Honestly, the biggest future use for Anri would likely be near the end stages of dewitching ...at which point she's either defused or we can just get Asuka Yuuri to watch and chaperone her.

Sure, please consider the notions backing the positions:

-"works agenda"
KB takes in Seeds. Then we proved he can take the Grief without the Seed. He mentioned "this can be processed." I think we should explore this logic, AND attempt to gain a very useful tool, grief containers. AND the other 'little' point... if he can return an empty Seed to us, we can save some number of additional fallen girls. I would ask that question ASAP. "Kyuubey, I want one of the other Grief Seeds you have finished with. Will you give it to me?"

-Tour Fukushima
It might be good to know if the other girls in Fukushima have specific problems with Tsuruya and company. They ARE effective pros. But what else? The neighbor's possible resentment or unease are not deal breakers, but we know nothing. If we ask nothing, is that a mistake? Travel in the 20 mile area is sinfully easy. Unless the neighbors are out for blood, the worst response I could expect is "Go Away!" But the average response should be more interesting. We could check later, but that increases conflict, regret and cost potentials.


-Anri contract details
Aside from her opinions, or her crazy, Anri is actually in a special position. She is our first institutionalized prisoner, and this contract is a model. Much, much further, Anri//Arzt Kochen are the only bonded pair we have to hand. I can have all the theories I want, but I cannot verify or falsify my theories -or yours- regarding de-witching at this time. I don't know where in the process this might be significant. Why do you have certainty?
Until we know something of how to complete the process, special samples are probably special. Refute this using the scientific method. Yay! I think Sabrina doing science makes us all satisfied?
Thus, two reasons to make the proper effort for Anri. 1) Unwinding her mental issues will make her much more able to co-operate safely with us when we need to try that, and may be required for her input to help at all. 2) It is righteous, she isn't a one-dimensional villain. Emiya complex. The computation is left as an exercise. 3) If putting this effort in makes it easier to save just Yuuri, still worth it. We are not handicapping ourselves by learning to be highly responsible. And I do maintain that keeping Anri without a proper environment would be irresponsible treatment. She could get sicker than current. Do you see child soldiers staffing the mental wards often? I bet that isn't a great combination?
