Its just so he knows who we're actually referring to. We could point her out through the window if necessary, and we've never really needed that kind of micromanagement yet.
I think the point of contention comes from the wording. "Introduce" has different connotations from "discuss" or "tell him about". You're right in that introduce doesn't necessarily mean have him meet her in person, but that is what it usually implies. It's up in the air which way the QM would have interpreted it without discussion on the matter. Miscommunication would have resulted in just that happening regardless of intent. Not as a matter of micromanagement, but miscommunication.

tl;dr: It's one of the tiny things that need to be clarified for good communication on both sides.
On the upside, it does give the delightful impression of the councillors having their meeting in a room with a window, all trying to ignore the girl standing outside waiting for Weber to point her out to Van Hal. Anton keeps trying to wave; Weber insists he ignore her, she's not there.
 
I've thrown a map of Sylvania onto the geopolitics page, I haven't MS-painted it because apart from Nachthafen and Pfaffbach, it's all theoretically under the control of the Elector Count and practically under the control of nobody.

The members of your bodyguards are set, 36 men total - 12 man shifts, three shifts a day.
 
This is not necessarily a problem if veekie remains highly active and responsive. But neither do I think it's an inherent part of questing.
Did my stint as planmaker. Usually happens when theres too many items to vote on, so people who are only moderately invested don't really want to fuck with all the moving parts. Only thing that worked is to split the voted items across multiple updates so you only need to decide one element at a time. But that slows down updates and hurts the muse.
 
I'm gonna try and streamline the voting a bit in the coming turns to cut down on how daunting making a plan is.

Therefore in his way he is trying to do what is best for Stirland, which just so happens to conflict with Val's idea for the good of Stirland, hence the problem. And Consider that Stirland is close to Sylvania and known for necromances, vampires and the undead, which may have influenced Kashmir's decisions, granted he is a zealot.. The point is that he isn't sabotaging you, he just has a different idea of what is good for Stirland, and happens to see Sigma as a answer.

This quest seems to have gone past regular bandwagoning on "a few front runners" though. This turn we were approaching a point where veekie's plan was pretty much the only thing in sight with 90% tally support, but half of veekie's nominal supporters didn't like part of veekie's plan as written. Rather than vote for something else, they mostly asked veekie to change it, despite the fact that veekie's plan was modular and swappable parts were on offer. That led to the main vote becoming rather weird and then we got a semi-re-implementation of the voting system one level down with the "what to do with veekie's plan" minivote.

This is not necessarily a problem if veekie remains highly active and responsive. But neither do I think it's an inherent part of questing.

Is Drebkau considered to be generally under threat if Sylvania boils forth, or do they not mess around along the Aver Reach (which I believe is the river marking the southern border of the county, if I read the map right)?

Speaking of empty space, how empty are the "empty" parts of these maps? Presumably they're rather thickly covered with farmers as I can't see Stirland producing enough food to support a military of 40,000 without a population at least an order of magnitude greater, possibly twice that, and those kinds of numbers have to be primarily agricultural rather than focused into the towns and villages. Presumably the towns shown on the map are only the large towns, then, something like a thousand people and up? But it's difficult to tell what is "no significant population centers but there's a farm every half-mile" and what's "nothing but monsters from here to the next city over".

The cultural divide is very, very harsh. There's Stirlanders and there's Sylvanians, period. Different cultures, different ancestors, different beliefs in whether a vampire is something to burn or something to pay taxes to. Sylvania isn't so much absorbed into Stirland as it is under the occupation of Stirland.

Quite regularly along the roads, around once a decade along the rest of the border. You have to keep the population of things that go bump in the night under critical mass or they'll start flooding across the border.

Drebkau is on the Sylvanian border and the space it occupies is visible in the Sylvanian map - it should be nestled right up against the south-western corner of the Ghoul Woods. Which are aptly named, so yeah, if Sylvania does start boiling over Drebkau is in trouble.

There's only one population centre worthy of being called a town in each county or barony, the rest are villages. You can think of each village as an epicenter for an area of farmland. So in areas where there's no villages on the map, it's mostly unpopulated by humans, but where there's a cluster of villages it'd be almost entirely farmland and grazelands. So there's farmland stretching pretty much all across the Averland border and in the southern half of southern Stirland, but central Stirland has a lot of unpopulated areas.

And Consider that Stirland is close to Sylvania and known for necromances, vampires and the undead, which may have influenced Kashmir's decisions, granted he is a zealot.. The point is that he isn't sabotaging you, he just has a different idea of what is good for Stirland, and happens to see Sigma as a answer.
