I think serious trouble was delayed for a long time, Erewhon should not have any troubles during current 4YP, Finishing Boston should delay those issues even further, maybe even fix them.
 
Boston is still needed, and Erewhon is still under a timer, IIRC it was 2070-ish? I think for them to just blip. or go rampant, or yea, so yea, we still need to advance AI Tech.

It's probably a bad idea to heavily fund Columbia while neglecting Shala beyond the minimum required to complete Phase 4.

Because we don't want to, say, rush-build Shala Phase 5 by pouring 11-13 dice into it in a single turn in 2063Q4... But we also can't even look at the vital second-generation habitat option we'll need in order to meet our Plan targets until Shala is fully completed.

As such, given that Shala needs about three times more Progress to complete than Columbia does, there's a good argument for prioritizing Shala for most dice.

He/It was the megalomaniacal, semi-genocidal AI that was created by NOD in the interbellum between Tib War 1 and 2, and then took over NOD post Tib War 2. It essentially was like the machines from the Matrix in how it ran its servers. Running off of a bunch of cybernetically enhanced humans put in suspended animation.

BTW, for anyone worried about ethics, don't be! Since we recently did Laboratory Meat, we're well on our way to the tecnology to grow our own, ethically sourced brains! There's no need to harvest people's brains like NOD did. brains 🧠
 
...you know when I came into this thread to see what happened with yet another reported argument for genociding civilians under NOD I didn't expect to find us getting a Breaktrough Technology that is the result of a NOD genocide.

I guess it's better than what the US did with Unit 731's research after WWII. That is a subterranean bar to clear to be very clear and may give us some really weird research down the line. Remember CABAL was wetware networked over some form of radio communication or something similar to that.

...we might be getting into hive mind communications networks down the line because of this.

Edit: And oh yeah we already have 47 and 48 in NOD Gacha so at this point we have a small ladder on the lower side of the average D100 +5 roll of that Gacha.

Well some people end up breaking their bodies because of war or accidents, or they are stuck in dying bodies because of age or incurable diseases so there should be some enthusiastic volunteers available?
