[ ] Tabitha Henessey
(+1 Orbital Die) (Must complete Gravitic bay by end of plan)
-Needed Orbital Die
-Gravitic Bay is probably something we'd want to finish this plan anyway as part of our commitment to deploy the Conestoga
-Narrative: Gravitic Drive Developments
[ ] Michael O'Brian
(+1 Orbital Die, +2 to Orbital)
-Needed Orbital Die
-Bonus is nice and very much desired
-Narrative: Space Fusion Power Developments
[ ] Dr. Dinesh Bora
(+2 Agriculture Dice, +5 to Genetically Engineered Plants)
-Far more Agri dice then we strictly need (which isn't necessarily a bad thing)
-Bonus is nice especially as once Food and Dairy is stabilized we are going to want to develop the genetic plants, plus reforestation likely includes some genetic engineering against tib, his background
-Narrative: Genetic Plants development/improvements (finally get Kudzu to produce enough caffeine), NOD agreements (Qinglian or Banergees)
[ ] Dr. Taylor Bernard
(+1 Heavy Industry Die, +1 energy from DAE) (Must take Department of Alternative Energy before end of plan)
-Desired HI dice
-Improves DAE per die efficiency to equal V1 Fusion per die efficiency, while being half as R expensive.
-Narrative: Reduce the stress on Fusion demands and diversify Energy income.
[ ] Adrian Whittard
(+1 Infrastructure Die)
-Nice to have Infra Die
-Narrative: Logistic Improvements
[ ] Dr. Rima Alcard
(+1 Light Industry Die, -5 to Light Industry) (unlocks automation/robotics projects)
-Nice to have LCI Die
-Reduces die bonus
-Unlocks automation and robotics projects (likely Energy and Cap Goods expensive)
-Narrative: Robots
[ ] Adrian Castro
(+1 Orbital Die, +5 to spacecraft design and deployment projects)
-Needed Orbital Die
-Spacecraft bonus (note we have two spacecraft projects in our Plan at present: Conestoga and the Transorbital fighter)
-Narrative: Developing the black water fleet
[ ] Graduates
(Pick 1 of) (+1 Die, -2 bonus for two years)
- [ ] Infrastructure
- [ ] Heavy Industry
- [ ] Light and Chemical Industry
- [ ] Agriculture
- [ ] Tiberium
- [ ] Orbital
- [ ] Services
- [ ] Military
- [ ] Bureaucracy
-Only one I would consider is Tiberium or Military as we have options for the others that we want.
I generally agree with
@Lightwhispers 's plan.
First off we need Orbital picks to make our commitment more reasonable, while we could probably get away with not getting more Orbital dice, it'd be unwise not to. Of the three Orbital picks (ignoring the Graduates for now) Micheal O'Brian is mechanically the best Orbital pick, providing a die and a general die bonus. Furthermore narratively he is still solid as everything we build in space is going to need a generator, and if we can get smaller fusion easier to put in those stations and ships all the better.
The next choice is if we need a second orbtial die. I think we do, as we need to heavily invest in Orbital to meet our plan goals. Of Henessy and Castro, I'd be satisfied with either, one promises better G-drives earlier, the other promises better black water ships and fighters. I don't necessarily think we need both of them, or the full memery of O'Brian, Henessy, Cartro, plus Graduates (Orbital)
The question of the remaining 2 slots is between Bora, Bernard, Whittard, and Alcard. Of these Alcard is not currently needed narratively, are her speciality is for automation, and while we are likely to start more heavily towards that, it is still some years away. We will need our Cap Goods reserve to be significantly bulkier to commit in that direction, she is someone to keep an eye out for next plan though. Whittard is nice and the narrative of better logistics is great, but its not something we need, and the mechanical benefits are a bit lackluster. Bora and Bernard on the other hand...
Bora is a 2 dice for one pick, and while there may be some IF pushback, solving the caffeine issue is of national importance. Plus the potential synergy with Reforestation and the bonuses to our other genetically engineered species is great.
Bernard makes DAE a must have. While we are developing better Fusion, exactly how effective (and expensive) it will be is still up in the air, and we do need a source of Energy that is die efficient, cheep, and not going to tank our PS. Bernard makes DAE equivalent in Energy per die efficiency to V1 Fusion and liquid Tib. Taking him and immediately grabbing DAE effectively gives +60 Energy over the rest of the plan.
