It would have to take a long time and some pretty friendly magic users. Mostly because the only magic users our people know(to my knowledge) are discord and now sombra. not something that gives us a positive light on magic. Though if the Equestrians manage to save us i can see it changing.
 
Thinking about this I realized something... this is our first interaction with an Equin.. or people might be at least REALLY suspicious of Equestria or downright hateful towards them..
 
Sweet christmas i leave you alone for a day and now everything has gone to pot! We need acid and fire, asap. Acid to melt the cyrstals and fire to counter the frost. We might need to send a knightly order to circumvent Sombra and hit him in the flanks or homeland. Or if that fails we need to crib stuff from Gondor and create a ranger order to send in as spies, assaisans and saboteurs. I think we could call for aide from the yajs but the fire nation i dont think is going to be all that helpful...
 


I see we've been literally caught with our pants down. Against a magic juggernaut with an army with unbreakable morale no less.

Let's never forget again that the MLP world is a death world and get complacent. The only peace is the peace we carve out.

Iirc diamond dogs have magic and neighponese have magic.

What are the specific rules for omakes? I got some ideas for Borgia Griffons, and a humorous interlude where Celestia and Luna are fully aware of us and hoping we deal with the brunt of Sombra so they can swoop in from the South and get an easy win. "Sombra's that Merchant Griffon problem, Luna" "... You know I can see in your dreams, and I know that you think Sombra is a <koff> dreamy bad colt pony" "DON'T JUDGE ME!" "See this is why I'm spymaster and didn't want to go for Diarchy."

I think the magic the diamond dogs have is only known in myth and rumor and the neighponese don't strike me as particularly friendly...but their also not utter assholes/ magical juggernauts like sombra. so we can atleast have decent relations with them.

Edit: Granted it is implied that D-dogs do have magic. it's just so rare thats its mostly myth and rumor.

Really are no rules to it write what you want.
 
I have a plan we employ all the diamond dogs we can make them dig under a mountain and we use are army or ourselves to lure him near said mountain then we have the dogs dig so the mountain will collapse and then we let physics take care of sombra

Inb4 somber nulls maintain. Ice? Tk? Magic? Durability?

I think it's a good thing to do but we need to have more than one plan, we can't afford to go all in on something we aren't sure will work.
 
Honestly I see 3 ways for us to tip the balance in our favor 1. somehow the changlings we have all theorized are somehow here show up to help us, 2. we somehow convince Neighpon to aid us in this war for one reason or another, 3. we use omakes like the last war though it wont be as potent because of the limit now but it undeniable helps.
 
Secretly hoping but not relying on neighpon having a mcguffin.
