We are talking about ponies here, many of them would casually shrug off some stone blocks and no actual impact on ponies besides Celestia were shown. Unless mentioned I would presume no one else got hit in canon.
And so, as your army beds down for the night in anticipation of the march into the Valley come the morning, orders are quietly passed down the chain of command as high-ranking officers inform their subordinates of the battleplan and their roles in it. You and Gabriella spend a sleepless night in each other's arms, steeling yourselves for the battle to come. Neither of you anticipates a loss, but both of you know that, regardless of how well or how poorly things go for you and yours, soldiers are going to die.
Your dreams are filled with fire, blood, and the cruel laughter of dead kings.
Look: I was one of the people that blamed changelings for almost everything - even I can say your idea is a bit out there... 😅So... all this talk about Luna and dreamwalking made me recall what at a time I thought was a bit of an odd line to include. Isn't it a bit odd of a dream for Garrick? I mean Luna does know who Garrick is and sorta what he's up to at that particular moment thanks to Gawain.
In the wake of the Maretonian Intervention war and the biggest Heartsong ever recorded, here's a full 'It's Raining Men' parody lyric writeup, I tried to keep the tempo unsure if I succeeded or not. Unsure if this is enough to count as an Omake @Questor, but if so, please put it towards a roll we need against the Ursa Major, thanks. Also yes I know Gabriella didn't go up with the push through the clouds, but the song needed a named person to replace Mother Nature, lol so historical inaccuracy.
OOOOO
Omake(?): 'It's Raining Storm' by the Weather Hens (an 'It's Raining Men' Parody)
It's Raining Storm (by The Weather Hens)
Hi! Hi! We're your weather hens,
(Uh huh)
And have we got news for you!
You better listen,
Get ready all you army folk,
And don't forget those crossbows at home,
Alright!
Heartsong is rising (Mm rising), morale's getting low (Whose morale, hen?),
According to all sources (What're scouts sayin' now?),
Mountain pass is the place to gooooo (You better hurry up),
'Cause today for the first time,
Just about half-past ten (half-past teeen),
For the first time in history,
It's gonna start raining Storrrrrm!
It's raining Storm! Hallelujah!
It's raining Storm! Amen!
I'm gonna march out to run and let myself get,
Part of a thousands-strong duet!
It's raining Storm! Hallelujah!
It's raining Storm! Every specimen!
High, hooved, winged and dead,
Not so tough and drop like leaaaaad!
Gods bless Empress Gabriella, she's a fightin' lady too,
She took off to heaven and she did what she had to do,
She fell every Stormguard,
She rearranged the sky,
So that each and every soldier, could attack in perfect tiiiiime!
It's raining Storm! Hallelujah!
It's raining Storm! Amen!
It's raining Storm! Hallelujah!
It's raining Storm! Amen!
I feel stormy weather moving in,
About to begin,
Hear the cannon fire,
Don't you lose your head!
Rip through the clouds and bring bloodsheeeeed!

She took off to heaven and she did what she had to do,

I will always appreciate more royal sibling slice of life.Me: "Ok, halfway through the next update, I just have to-"
My Muse: "Omake."
Me: "What? No, I'm nearly finished with-"
My Muse: "No update. Only Omake."
"TIMBER!"I don't see why they'd be so upset, free crystal for mining if they don't want to keep the giant tourist attraction.
Chopping wood in the morning.
That was glorious...
Oh, as a quick aside, since Gilda is 18, when does she lose the Teenager Malus?
Does this mean Gwyndlyn should have lost those maluses on her other stats?Age: 21
Martial: 15+4-4=15
Diplomacy: 9-5=4
Stewardship: 6+2-5=3
Learning: 8+1-5=4
Intrigue: 9+1-5=5
Status: Adolescent-Malus to Martial stat.

To be honest, I'd just assumed she still had the other maluses because dragons mature a lot slower due to the long lifespan.
To be fair we have personal actions available for both Gwyndlyn and Gilda as of last turn, unfortunately we had other things that we had to do so could only do Pearl'sI know this was made in jest but it's still nice to see all the emperor's kids. I mean we've seen how the crown prince is doing and Gleaming made that art piece not to long ago but it's been awhile since we've heard from Gwyndlyn (not since she was sending letters to the Neighpon emperor convinced that they were going to get married if I am remembering it right) and Gilda (who I think that last we heard from her was when we picked what her eduction focus would be).
I mean, no, you didn't have other things to do. The Personal Action section explicitly says they're so Garrick doesn't spend all his time working, but he does anyways because you guys have voted for him to do overtime pretty much every turn. A lotta the time you don't have to have him on overtime. It's action-efficient, but action efficiency isn't the same thing as necessity, nor should it ever get in the way of Garrick having time to spend away from work and getting a break anyhow. To be fair we have personal actions available for both Gwyndlyn and Gilda as of last turn, unfortunately we had other things that we had to do so could only do Pearl's
Usually I would agree with you but last turn was different because we had to spend one of Garrick's personal actions on speeding up recruitment if we wanted it to be ready in time for the warI mean, no, you didn't have other things to do. Doesn't matter. I'm talking about that whole mindset that a lot of you guys voting for it have repeated every turn that he "has" to do it - that it simply can't be put off. There's always sacrifices or opportunity cost everything. Sometimes you just gotta let go of that relentless efficiency and let poor Garrick spend time with his family for once without having extra shifts on the job.Usually I would agree with you but last turn was different because we had to spend one of Garrick's personal actions on speeding up recruitment if we wanted it to be ready in time for the war
I mean unless I'm missing something last turn was one of the first times we've ever used the Imperial PriorityDoesn't matter. Heck, if I were the QM, that's the kinda thing I would've started bringing up warning signs of to prevent abuse of overtime, like a Stress mechanic or something. You're right that last turn was legitimately an emergency, but at the same time I'm rather tired of everything being declared an "emergency." Overtime and priority is supposed to be a last resort, but they've been used constantly.
Fairly certain if Questor hadn't made the Gawain interludes free, we would've never gotten any on-screen character development for him and his friends either.
