Well a mutual enemy is a way to bound with the yaks also getting swole is definitely getting my vote. Cannons unfortunately takes two years to complete so they will probably not be ready in time but flame weapons can be done in a year.

We will definitely need the cannons, he can move those crystals of his scarily fast. Also he has some weird memory gimmick that made the sisters forget all of his tricks so ranged combat is optimal.

Oh yes to clarify I meant when we start them along with flame weapons turn 11 they won't be done until turn 13(hopefully nothing worse happens that turn.)

I don't think we would be immune to magic, but I figure we could handle it rather well, the griffons had handled discord relatively intact. Tho its up in the air on what to do, unlike the ponies who handled sombra, we have a army.
Edit: We are also not a pray species a cornered predator or scared one tends to lash out with deadly force, so unlike the ponies that sombra is used we may prove to be a challenge.

In one of the episodes Stalin Glimmer goes back in time and stops the events that caused the Mane Six from getting the Elements which started splitting timeline to appear one of which was Sombra waging all out war on Equestria and seemingly winning. Luna didn't seem to exist in that timeline of course.

Hello, I just caught up, I heard people talking about using cannons and ballistas against evil Elsa here, now I may be wrong but this guy has an army right? I mean wasn't one of his evil powers mind control over the crystal ponies or something, so what is stopping him for using an unwilling army against us?
"Stronger than Celestia" isn't exactly a major achievement by all accounts we know of. For one, the ancient threats she sealed away she couldn't destroy outright and she never has taken aggressive action of her own even when her house is being invaded.
Is she powerful? Perhaps. But combat is not in her Domain and so she is weak in a direct confrontation without using the psychic weapon with her sister.
