Guys remember that we are unlikely to have reloads for this fight so only having 1 gun is a bad idea. This is 2/3rd of TZ's entire forces that means we are going to be outnumbered until reinforcements arrive. We also do not know when those reinforcements will get here. They are likely far away from our location.

Having a shield is nevertheless a good idea when enemies are all around. Worst case we grab dead people's weapon.

We should be able to power a beam rifle from our reactor if necessary.
No we can not that is not how beam rifles are powered. Even if we could it would take a reactor several times the size and power output of what is in an MS and even then it would take several minutes. The reason Beam weapons for MS are possible is because of the E-caps which are the ammo packs for the gun. We are unlikely to have any more than the one in the rifle because we had to scramble to launch so we have no reloads.

The only dead people are going to be the rest of our Squad.

We don't need to be the one to do that alone. An extra gun isn't going to help as much as you think it will.
We aren't trying to. We are trying to keep fighting as long as possible so we survive until reinforcements arrive. Once we run out of shots that is it because trying to use the beam saber outside of a desperate defense is not going to work.

We didn't come close to running out of shots in the last fight, and I don't think the chances of running out here are that high.

We were using a sniper and making our shots one at a time. When we used our second weapon the carbine which has more shots than the regular rifle it was three shots per action. The battle also ended after the second action of shots. The others were also using more shots during that time as well. Sniper attacks and this kind of furball are very different battles we will be using more shots.

Which itself is a pretty big assumption that the PC will survive. Rather hard to maneuver out of danger when the space is filled with enemies.
So you do not plan to try and give our character the best chance to survive then?

That was the case for the GM and IIRC the original Gundam and Guncannon, but it's entirely possible to power a rifle off a reactor. Didn't the Gelgoog not use E-Caps because Zeon lacked the technology, for example?

No it did not Zeon developed the technology to make beam weapons for MS they had their own version of the e-cap. A MS cannot power a beam weapon that is the whole point of finding ways to store the power to make them useable. It takes ships minutes to charge their beam cannons and that is with much more powerful generators.

??? That is what the shotgun and shield if for, it covers up the weakest melee stat. Other characters might live and might die but it is rather pointless if the PC dies to save another.
To survive we need to kill as much of the enemy as possible or take out that huge cannon which I think we should stay away from. Let Thunder and Pixie deal with it they are the close range fighters going off of their loadouts. And to kill as many we need as many shots as we can get.
I don't know what the difference between most of these weapons are?

[] BOWA-XBR-M-79-07G Beam Rifle: This is the first beam rifle made it is much worse than any other so ignore it.
[] BOWA·BR-S-85-C2 Beam Rifle: This is the standard beam Rifle probably the strongest weapon available from the list. It is a mid-range weapon.
[] HFW-GR·MR82-90mm GM Rifle: This uses regular bullets but is more than capable of destroying enemy MS. mid-range
[] Franz EF-ASH114T Assault Shotgun: Shotgun used to deal with fast moving targets at closer range. close-range
[] GR MLR79-90mm Long Rifle: The Marksman Rifle version of the bullet rifle above. long-range

[] NFHI RGM-M-Sh-AGD Shield: a newer shield that's it.
[] HFW-GR·MR82-90mm GM Rifle: Same as above but small enough it can be dual wielded I think.
[] Franz EF-ASH114T Assault Shotgun: Same as above
[] BOWA XBC-M-83D-2C Beam Carbine: Carbine version of the Beam Rifle has less range, slightly less power, more shots, and smaller for dual use.

[] x2 Beam Saber: Lightsabers
[] x2 Beam Dagger: shorter lightsabers

Let's just agree to disagree.

If you say so? I guess I just remembered incorrectly or something, my bad.

And in fairness, A. we never really see ships take minutes to charge their cannons, and B. ship-mounted Mega-Particle Cannons are a lot bigger than your average Beam Rifle.

This is actually some what untrue, well it has the lowest ammo count it is the most powerful out of the beam rifles. Like a .50BMG to a .308.
Low ammo count and not designed to use the new E-packs which are what let beam weapons be reloaded makes it the weakest from a tactical and strategic point. Power is useless if you can't keep it going against the enemy.

I hope Gamlin doesn't bite it, he is the only one without lunar armor.

Nuke bazooka please don't show up.
