No they didn't. I just literally read the entire quest. Main turns have only used plans but side turns not always.
 
You mean the engines we already Destroyed and are on fire? We already went over this if you want to stop the ship you need to take the secondary bridge as that is the only other place where you can stop the ship without cutting off the gravity control system and end up Killing everyone inside.

I wish there was more that our character could do, but there's really nothing left to do without destroying the Lancelot.
 
The entire reason they have to roll is because we already Destroyed the engines by unloading a bunch of shotgun rounds and Vulcan rounds. And the fact it is on fire is why you are not sending people into it
I am pretty sure the roll is essentially the fanatics using duck tape and prayers to barely keep the destroyed engine going. If we want to actually stop them, well, I am not 100% sure taking the secondary bridge would work, but strongly suspect dealing with those in the engine room would kill their momentum and force them to try and take it back in order to keep moving. Though I may be missing something here.

That's a good point. I changed my plan to hit the engines instead.
