It is simply that we have focused on the most important aspects of being a MS pilot flying and shooting things. Of course, we roll high in those portions it makes sense.

You kick on your thrusters, sending you Gundam flying back toward a a small valley behind you, as you do, more Zakus began to bust out of the hills (some literally) leveling their 120mm guns and firing from the hip as they advance. As you pull away you put a round clean though the center, right were the cockpit should be. You can actually see the hill on the other side.
(Enemy trait: ???, activates)
Only the Zaku doesn't fall, as if only momentarily bothered by the hole where it's pilot should be it raised it's own 120mm machine gun to its hip-

True to her word, the Zaku she had hit had most of it's front armor blown off, yet it kept advancing and firing.

Not that they were hitting much, a few got a couple of hits on Pixie's shield but that was all.

We either try to figure out what those are by rolling for engineering or try to find a way to disable them where it will still be effective. In this case we might be better off aiming for the legs or arms.

We don't know what they are but I very much doubt they are drones. The M-Particles still make that tech impossible to use in a fight.

But what else could it be? We blew a hole through the cockpit and it kept fighting till it was blown to bits. It is possible they could be remote controlled by one of the other Zakus in the AO. And on second reading, we might actually be fighting Zeonic forces. They are hunting the GMs too so unless there is a 3rd faction, someone on either side fucked up or sabotaged us. It would explain how they have drone tech if they actually are Zeon proper.
