Could be anything cockpit moved to a new area. Linked controls between units. Backup pilot in a second cockpit. And yeah there is a third faction that is why we were here there was a pair of "GMs" that Zeon wanted us to deal with because Task Force Comet is away looking for TZ cells. There is a reason we got told not to worry about shooting any Zakus by Zeon. This was either a move by them to eliminate traitors in their forces or these Zakus are with the GMs we were sent to investigate. Either way, we destroy them first then worry about who they are.

Hmm I forgot about that. This is curious unless.... ah shit I think we might have been played! Crazy idea, but what if Zeon is trying to test out new control tech? What better way to test it out then against the Federations elite! The GMs might have been a decoy, or they are real and Zeon is exploiting this situation in creative ways. If we can't find the GMs soon our priority turns into escaping the AO.

No because use killing and destroying these Zakus doesn't hurt us in any way. Unless we get swarmed by such a large amount that we just run out of ammo there is no reason to run. If Zeon set this up it doesn't matter since they can't complain since they are the ones taking the blame for any friendly fire that happens.

FYI, Minovsky Beam weapons cause Minovsky Reactors to detonate but Kinnetics would work as intended.

On the other hand, automated fighters, which is to say Artificial Intelligence instead of Remote Control, are a key background component in later Macross series.

Zeon might have found some tech in the SDF that allows them to get past that issue. The AI thing is an interesting albeit terrifying possibility. I really don't want Zeon to build Skynet IN SPEHSS with mechs and who knows what else. Regardless, our goal right now is to find the GMs if possible and take them out. We can deal with the Zakus we just can't get careless.

AI has been incredibly bad news in both series and are almost never a smart idea so not something we will do.

No because we have the same tech that they got. Everything that was gained is shared both way.

so this can't be a mobile doll or similar system. That would put the control computer in the cockpit. If hey kept going even with the cockpit, and the control center in it got cored out there is something screwy going on here. I stronlgy suspect there is some kind of trick here, like a control broadcaster or similar.

He also is aware that there is a fuck off big alien armada on its way that will kill everyone. These TZ are fanatics that want to start a war that will weaken everyone. Ghiren is an ass but he has enough self interest to not ruin the already slim chance at victory.

Tho that doesn't mean there aren't other Zeon, Fed, idiots, etc funding TZ. We held that secret really close to our chest afterall.

Not really everyone knows that an alien invasion is coming even the civilians know that. They are just not aware of how bad we are outnumbered. TZ took all the fanatics from Zeon armed forces. And we already found one of the groups that is funding TZ.

Alright so we have a 76, 71, 90, 89 as our results above the board all the way. Good enough for trying to take down some grunts. And finding out what they are.
