Event: It seems that the whole squad has their birthdays in the same month so they hold one big party, what does Alex do for her Squad and what do they do for her

I had to get up early today because of a faulty smoke alarm so decided to put up my proto plan before I go into work.
For Political I want to start on the space elevator and for a location, while I did give reasons for why the Atlantic ocean I care more for the finished products and that effect on shipbuilding speeds and sizes than raw resources that still need to be processed and turned into parts.
The reason I want to free the market is so that we can get more money and increase the sharing of ideas and technology. This ties our nations even closer through economic relations and dependency to each other. It would also make working with them on other projects easier and more fruitful.
Military actions are simple we only have one mega project at a time so the comms system still needs to be finished up so we can coordinate and talk with everyone in the Earth Sphere and working on this might give insight into ways to get around the saturation problem. Plus eventually, it will allow us to spread the communications to the rest of Sol.
We need to have some sort of ground-based unit in order to supplement defenses of the first of our forces. Remember the Armada would come to conquer not to destroy so long as they don't think we are part of the Supervision Army they will invade. The reason they bombarded the planet in Marcross was because of all the contamination of culture that was happening and it was their attempt to stop that. Here we will be smarter about subverting them and be fighting a real war so it will distract them from our efforts since they aren't chasing after only one ship with little else to threaten them.
But I can be convinced to do a ship design instead. Now while I know some people are going to want a battleship or something like that but we more ships with heavy firepower. That means either a Missile Cruiser armed with reaction warheads or the new Gun Destroyer class we got. The Gun Destroyer is my main choice since as a smaller ship with a spinal mount it can dish out a huge amount of damage and can be built in huge numbers. Which is something we need to stand a chance.
Edit: After giving it some more thought I have decided to design a new ship instead. Once we have the tech from the V-PROJECT and from both beam and AEW improvement our ground MS will be better off. So hold off for a turn and build a new mass production Gun Destroyer for the firepower and numbers.
Intrigue we need information on just what TZ is really doing. We also need to know what Doppelganger is and how much of it we can use to either make clones that can help crew our navy or if it can be combined with the Alien knowledge implantation tech to speed up the training of our normal recruits.
Research We need the tech upgrades the V-project gets us so continue working on that. The Beam Weapons this turn because it might give us the GM Cannon II's beam weapons to add to our updated design. Plus our ships still have a primarily Beam weapon loadout so improving those will improve our fleet strength overall. Next turn we can get the AEW to increase the flexibility of our forces.
Alien Ship rebuild it to full combat staus. Not only will it give us a much better idea of the tech and all the features the ship has. The work will go a long way towards improving our own experience and shipbuilding methods. It also will be a powerful battering Ram to use in case we need to run if we end up losing.
Special action yes upgrade the GM cannon if we can finish the V-project and the beam improvements we can get major upgrades for the GM Cannon and make it a real ship killing support unit.
Character Actions. Since it is everyone's birthday Alex might as well make use of her engineering skills that she apparently inherited from her mother to make some gifts for her team. Since Alex is fairly weak in the physical sense I could see the rest of the team deciding that Tiv should get Alex into shape so she has better health. After all, Alex has a 4 and 5 on Str and Con respectively and that is really low and needs to be fixed. Also since both our shooting and maneuvering have already been increased to a good level for now so working on our weakest stat for combat in a MS is important. And who better than the resident alien girl that could snap anyone in half if she wanted to.
