Actually @BoneyM as it's somewhat of a topic.

If Mathy were to lay out all the shiny stuff she has collected or made over the quest, Coin, AV, Belt, bad book, Staff etc, and what they do.

in order of jealousy/envy/ Greed/etc levels, what would be (mathy's) ranking of 'even nominal allies might be tempted to steal/murder/pressure/bribe us to get their hands on them.' and who

like we know that the belt is very, very tempting for wizards.

and the bad book is 'murder her as soon as possible' for basically everyone.

but what about the other stuff? and who would be the most likely to make an attempt if they know. (would Ranldintes think that stealing/gambling/ convincing to hand over the coin is fair game as long as no one gets hurt? or would it be sigmarites that would do their best to get a holy object out of the hands of a wizard, even if it's just Ranalds holy object etc etc.)

I guess I just want to know how much our bling is blinging in the setting.

There's no hard answers to be had here. How people react to that information will depend on a lot of factors, including how they find out about it and what light that information is presented in. 'Some Wizard has a magic coin that lets the holder thief real good' is going to get a different sort of attention to 'a loyal follower of Ranald has been gifted a sacred artefact that lets the holder thief real good'. If you go with something along the lines of 'Mathilde, Lady Magister of the Grey Order, makes an announcement to the world that she is festooned with artefacts, come and have a go if you think you're hard enough', then the reaction from pretty much anyone with two brain cells to rub together is 'this has to be a trap'.

So what you're saying is a WAAAGH of Orks would form that's dedicated specifically to looting Mathilde of her shiny gubbins?

If other Ranaldites learn about the coin, can we get some zany spy vs spy action? Who can steal the coin of the thief god!

No. Sure, a lot of Ranaldians are thieves, but all Ranaldians are, you know, Ranaldians. They're not going to react to someone being graced with a physical manifestation of their God's approval by mugging them, because that would be incredibly stupid.
...okay but I could see them trying to con her out of it, in a 'if she doesn't look after it it may as well be in someone smarter's hands' way.

"How did you choose your target?"
"I picked the one I knew was supernaturally lucky !"
"And how did you know that? Is this a way of escaping gambling debts ?"
"No boss! I knew 'cause she had a medal saying she'd impressed the god of thieves! Easy mark for sure!"

I actually wonder if Ranald is going to influence how the coin is inherited by picking a champion/chosen, or if it's going to be some King of Thieves "you steal it, you keep it" thing, or if Mathilde is going to have full control over who inherits it and after that it's just passed on normally like any other object in her possession.

I know we get to posthumously write Mathildes will if she dies but I'd prefer to just not mention the coin at all. Leave it chance where it ends up, it feels very appropriate given the origin.

The Cult of Ranald is not a Darwinian free-for-all. That's the Cult of Gunndred.
I could see someone talk themselves into trying to steal it, if they believe that the landed do-nothing-locally noblewoman Mathilde Weber isn't a true Ranaldite who doesn't deserve her blessing and somehow stole it from Ranald instead. It would not be the weirdest position I've seen believers warp themselves into.

... Admittedly, such a person would statistically speaking be nowhere near good enough to actually get anywhere close to Mathilde, but if they knew about it I could see them make an attempt.

I imagine that if it ever ends up in the hands of someone who Ranald disapproves of he'll take measures to get it back to his faithful.

It'd be a perfect capstone for a Pilgrimage of Fingers after all.

I'd just ask Pan in the will to take it to Altfdorf, go to a balcony above a busy street and then flip it, letting it fall where it may and giving Ranald the opportunity to stick his oar in as he desires.

My plan for the coin was having someone take it to a gambling hall along with some other similar-looking coins and lose it, pretending it's an ordinary coin. Seems like that will make things easiest for Ranald.
