It's interesting that Carcassonne and Kislev both went "this is what we can offer for your project" and Laurelorn went "this is what we can offer for Lady Magister Weber and her friends".

Arguably that's because they are already committed to the project, but they presented the library as an extra for Mathlide's personal use, not as a resource for the waystones.

Which is, I suppose, why they are winning. After all, it's not like we can accept money as a bribe.
They also offered the assistance of Grey Lords and a mystery box, but it's not just that. The bribe isn't neccesarily only for Mathilde. If working on the waystone project means access to the library, even just the relevant bits of it, that's a very strong offer we can make to other magisters and lord magisters who would otherwise be less willing to go all in, or other spellcasters from outside the college system, so even if having access to the library doesn't directly improve our odds at all it may do so indirectly.

I think we can assume that the library access will not be so restrictive that it'll incentivize the Grey Lord Magister to try to pass knowledge outside to get around the restrictions.

Just a note here: this is somewhat disingenuous. While the Eonir are definitely not as strong as the Asrai or Asur, historically "1 province vs the Eonir" tends to end extraordinarily badly for the province in question. The Eonir are not weaker than Nordland and in fact are almost certainly considerably stronger. Their issue is that they're considerably less able to absorb casualties than any human polity long term unless they burn the majority of Nordland to the ground. Which they probably still can do, they just can't survive the Imperial blowback that would cause.

tl:dr Nordland's "victory" if it comes, is because they can afford literal generations of extremely painful failure
Upon review part of my reasoning was left implicit because I personally remembered the context I was thinking of in relation to my argument, which is bad form. So that part's my bad.

To try to make that explicit instead, it's been previously noted in the quest that the reason Laurelorn was able to drive Nordland back now when they weren't before was not because the assistance provided by Middenland was vital in a purely military sense. As you noted, Laurelorn vs. one province doesn't tend to go great for that one province. The reason why Laurelorn needed the alliance with Middenland was because without an Elector actively on their side inside the Empire, pushing back against Nordland would be very dangerously likely to get parsed as "non-human aggression against an Imperial province" at which point they are likely no longer dealing with just one province. And when the Empire as a whole gets riled up, well, there's a reason why that scenario is considered to make the Empire the preeminent power in the Old World.

In other words, the reason Laurelorn needs ties to the Empire for defense against Nordland is for the political cover to avoid making it look like Elves vs. Empire when they spank Nordland as that would put them at risk of triggering a general Imperial response. Not because Nordland qua Nordland has the juice to be an independent existential military threat. Without that political cover Nordland can go back to squeezing Laurelorn with comparative impunity. Again, not because I think they could actually take Laurelorn in a war. But because as long as they keep their encroachment less blatantly provocative than mustering an army and marching into Laurelorn then pushing back without triggering general Imperial retaliation becomes at best dangerously fraught for Laurelorn. That's exactly how Laurelorn wound up in the tough spot they were in before.

Hmm, going to need to go to bed soon...

At this point, the best appeal I can make is emotional.

(Mostly, giving you a feel for Kislev the nation)

(For context, the voiceover in the first half of the video is Tsarevich Boris, except ~30 years in the future and now Tsar, and the focus character is his daughter, Katarin)

Yeah, much as I'm voting for Laurelorn and think it's the best option, Kislevites are crazy. I mean Warhammer 3 outright has you invading not just the Chaos Wastes, but the Realm of Chaos itself apparently.

Honestly, aside from imho having the most sure way to contribute the most, i would also love to see elven city. Eonir capital is apparently beautiful beyond the pale, and i suspect it will be quite an experience to be based out of it.

Laurelorn has the Very Steppy Lady and I know that's sufficient reason for at least a moderate segment of SV users. :V
Don't romance dryads >:[

I'm voting for Laurelorn, but if Kislev ends up winning something we could do is try to steal Stompy the Mammoth! since we'd be pretty near and he'd stay in an appropriate climate.

As far as I'm aware, the moratorium is time-based, not position based. I'm fairly sure that editing your older posts is valid as long as they're after the threadmark and edited after the moratorium expires. At least, I'm pretty sure this has been done in the past without consequences.
The thing is that in this case no one has edited their past posts to include an X but two poster voted with an X before the moratorium was over and the lack of a last edited mark proves it wasn't retroactively added.
Everyone made an excellent offer, but it's just hard to beat that Elven library.

Also, I love the dwarfs, but the story has been extremely heavy on dwarfs. Time for elves!
[X] Laurelorn
I replied to both of them to remind them of the moratorium but they did not edit the X out of their vote despite the fact that their activity shows they were definitely online for a period after my reminder. Intentional or not voting before the moratorium is over only serves to subvert its purpose of inhibiting early bandwagons. Excluding pre-moratorium votes would serve to deter such posts.

Worth remembering that Cadaeth was the first runner-up in the initial romance vote.
177 for Journeywoman Panoramia
177 for Magister Johann

119 for Elector Countess Roswita van Hal
114 for Baron Anton Kiesinger II
103 for The Ice Dragon of Karag Zilfin
95 for Chief Bombardier Oswald Oswaldson

75 for Vicereine Cadaeth
The thread has been low-key horny for her for a year.

Are the votes even counted by tally?
