No seriously, you guys are underestimating us a lot, we literally have 4 ships sized land battleships. We could literally drive them over his army and their shitty spears and bows wouldn't do shit to us. Like, you know how effective the steam tanks are, multiply that by a few hundreds.

Eh, we can take him. It's just beastimen.

We could take the beastmen around him perhaps (depends on if there's any other Named around), but we seriously cannot take Morghur as we are now unless BoneyM is secretly nerfing him. And I really doubt they would do that.

And why should we care? It's the edge of the Deep Wastes, fortresses to Chaos pop up here all the time. Hell they might even sprout legs and walk in from the north.

...We should care because Herdstones are always bad ideas? And besides, if Morghur succeeds in turning an entire Dawi Hold into a Herdstone, that gives said Herdstone a massive boost because the Beastmen will sacrifice Karag Dum and whatever inhabitants are left to the formation of the Herdstone/their Gods and mystically/metaphysically that is a major act. Chaos would definitely reward Morghur personally as well and he's bad enough already.

We still can't beat him.

Like he fucks our magic, he's immune to ranged fire, and he can magic at us that can turn us into friggin chaos spawn.

This is not a fight we can win.

There is no shame in knowing our limits.

And this is way the fuck past our limits.

I'm well aware. I'm just pointing out in that post that Boney's "poetic license" might become truth soon enough anyway.

No.

you are underestimating the goddam demigod we are now facing.

If the wagons get near him they are gonna get fucked.

Sure we can, have put wizards and cannons shoot him. We also have that flask that could burn him

@BoneyM, when was the last time Morghur was sighted? Time is flexible in the wastes but it might give us some idea of how long he's been personally involved with this siege.

Hello this is the Warhammer Fantasy world. It has magic. And giant things that could probably make the tanks lunch without magic. Have you two met?

But seriously I think you need to vastly increase the scope of your imagination when thinking of how chaos can fuck with things. The DM literally told us one of the knight's found the house they were born in and it tried to eat them on the outskirts of this fucked up place.

Herdstones are bad when they are in order territory. This place is indescribably fucked already, remember the biting house? As for Mogur getting more blessings, that is not a reason to throw our lives away. Order wins by choosing their battles and their battlefields. This ain't one of them. I will take 'Moghur gets stronger' in exchange for Vlag's return any day and call it a win.

I'm sorry, have you actually looked into what Morghur can do? Or hell, even looked at the staff that ninjafish posted about a couple minutes ago? We can't take Morghur because most of his shit invalidates our shit. We can act defensively with Kragg's Belt for a limited time, perhaps, but we can't take this guy offensively while dealing with every other beastman in the area.

I don't think you quite grasp what sort of shit we're dealing with. Projectiles fired around Morghur disappear into nothingness and anyone within a certain radius of him turns into a Chaos Spawn - and the warherds of high-status Beastmen routinely include monsters that can't flatten entire towns singlehandedly and we are currently stood opposite the closest thing they have to an Ancestor God.

Oh no if we could only dispell magic. And we have cannons and demigriffs.. A giant isn't that scary.

We know the steam tanks Re viable weapons, we have four much stronger versions.

You know, now that we see what we are up against, We Got Stupid Lucky that we did not bring that Chaos artifact with us, like what I expect would happen had we chosen to steal it first.

You seem to be misunderstanding my inital post then. I've been saying all along that there's nothing we can do. I was saying in that post that if we leave, Morghur may be turning that Karag into a Herdstone soon enough, making Boney's "poetic license" become true. I wasn't advocating for us to stay and fight, I was just pointing out that Karag Dum might fall soon after we leave, if it hasn't already.

  1. Demigriffs tries to fight Moghur -> "Thanks for the new chaospawn"
  2. Canon fires on Moghur -> amo mutates out of existence
  3. Tries to Dispell -> "Did you roll a crit?/ Are you a demigod?" If no Shadowgave laughs.
