I'm also wondering if the rates (or return) for dwarf favour may be different after Mathilde is declared a dwarf.

I think we probably get more for helping dwarves as a human than as a dwarf.

Would we even get DF if we were a dwarf? I mean, helping dwarfdom is expected of all dwarves. If anything, I'd guess we'd get something intangible like honor or MAYBE a limited amount of political influence.

For that matter, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get favors from Karak Ankor for saving Karak Vlag and the Expedition in general seeing as we do it in our role as Belegar's Loremaster (thus any "favors" or influence would go to him for sending us).

Yeah, I'm kind of expecting the torrent to fade to a trickle post expedition, but maybe new options open up

Well:

So:
  • Every four years or so, the dwarves have a major battle and roll out an Anvil
  • Two gallons of AV will restore that Anvil to its pre-battle state, charge-wise
  • We have, thus far, given the dwarves 12 gallons of AV:

Twelve divided by two is six, multiplied by four is twenty-four. What we've given the dwarves will probably last them over twenty more years of battles; if the dwarves get in a major enough conflict that they need more much sooner than that, it seems very likely that we will hear about it.

Conclusion: We should not feel obligated to give every drop of AV to the dwarves ASAP. Let's figure out its applications (or lack thereof) to Teclisean magic and divine magic before we decide that the dwarves have the best possible use for it.
That takes into account that they would have the AV on them at all times. I don't think it would be in the dwarves to share so each of the holds that has a rune master with an anvil would want a stockpile. The dwarves are rather spread out too with them being in the vaults, black mountains, ect. I am not sure how many anvils there are but also wouldn't there be quite a lot of other runes that need to be powered up other that runes on anvils as well?

No, only Thorek can recharge them with AV.
He tells the other Runelord that and hopes they aren't asking for details.

Where did you get this from? I have severe doubts that the other Runelords are happy to just hand over their Anvils so Thorek can do something he won't explain to them.
Expended Rune goes in, charged Rune comes out, and Thorek swears to replace any Runes damaged or destroyed. Other Runesmiths are pretty sure they'd hate the details, but they also hate Storms of Magic or waiting centuries for ambient recharge.
Directly from BoneyM.

Only Mathilde can go into a Fire Dwarf fortress town, buy stuff, and come out with more money than she went in with.

The good thing is that the update will finish with the week, and we get to vote again about who te spend our time with
