No. That is the mortal who summoned Sarthoriel the Ever-Watcher and serves as your advisor in the campaign. Is the guy in the Warhammer Total War trailer Horstmann? If he has an established appearance that won't conflict with other players' vision of him, then I'll be able to commission art of a younger version of him.
I'm not great at questions like this because I don't really have a mental image of characters, I have a sort of cloud of traits and skills and foibles and goals with a nametag.
Have you seen Totalwar Grey Wizard? One word, flipflops. I am just glad Mathilde is sensible and wears boots. She usually wears sandals with her robes, a crime against fashion fitting of a Ranaldite's girlfriend.
Okay this is good, made me laugh and it is factually correct. We must name our paper this.Obviously, as the prequel to our trip to Mount Doom, the only acceptable title is There and Back Again: A Mountain's Tale.

Is there any canon character with an established look who's both significantly relevant to Mathilde and whose appearance would be significantly different at this point in time?
EDIT: Not interested in commissioning Gotrek art. The dude's big in canon but here he's just some engineer with no indication he'll be anything else.
Belegar Ironhammer maybe. Here's a pic I found without his helmet I found on a quick google search for a comparsion.
If you're worrying about running into Skaven patrols out on the road, stirred up by the passing through of Tzeentchian daemons, then you probably either want to take "Ranging far ahead of the convoy - With the Knights of Taal's Fury" or just... let the Knights of Taal's Fury do it by scouting ahead.
If there are going to be Skaven forces running around aboveground, then it's the role of the Knights of Taal's Fury to notice them. Otherwise, the Skaven are just going to be running around in Skaven territory. Not in our path, or near our scouted path (because you anything near our intended path, but a little bit to the side, would also probably get noticed). So.
Matter of fact, I figure that "Ranging far ahead of the convoy" is probably the better way to try to track down and tail the Tzeentchian daemons to boot. Not to assume they'll be in the Skaven territory. So, if you're worried about the Daemons? Pick the "Range far ahead" option.
Okay, well, let's assume Skaven rationality (or numerology, if you will) then:
*You've got an enemy across from you, who you raid each other for slaves and loot for
*You also have your superiors above you, but let's overlook that for now; because the sudden arrival of a new party means that rather than two 3s, it's just Skaven-Dawi Zharr-Newcomers
*A third, weaker (compared to "literally an armed enemy fortress"), target appears
Do you: attack this weaker target, potentially letting the Dawi Zharr attack you?
Or do you refuse to show your old enemy an opening by pouncing on the newcomer?
Skaven numerology would not launch an attack on a third, weaker, party because they know that somebody else would take the opportunity to knife them in the back. They'd probably wait for the Chaos Dwarfs to take the bait on any signs of weakness first, and then pounce on both the Dwarfs and the Expedition, if they could.
Dwarves age slow. He wouldn't look very much different now to how he'd look 40 years from now. Maybe his hairs are closer to grey than white but eh.Belegar Ironhammer maybe. Here's a pic I found without his helmet I found on a quick google search for a comparsion.

And one would presume he wasn't born with those scars and blind in one eye.You could also stick him in civilian clothes not armor and put a crown on his head. Those are some pretty big differences.
There are four polities on the road at the moment.
Tzeentch demons
Us
Moulder
Chaos Dwarves
Four is feed, the strongest eats the weakest. Moulder will be placing themselves as the strongest in this diagram.
The weakest is either us, or Tzeentch demons.
Skaven numerology suggests they should be going on the offensive.
If you add their superiors it might count as five. five is either bribe, or two and three go to war.
Tzeentch demons may well turn up at moulder and offer to defect in exchange for hiting us.
that makes Moulder the three, and they choose to invade.
Skaven numerology suggests the earliest we can get a good result is 6. Back a minor skaven faction to rebel and ruin the plans of their superiors so they look better.
Based on that reasoning I would say we have to intervene.
Hiring Mathilde Weber: This one weird trick Dwarves love!If they pay special attention to Dwarven matters or Sylvania, they'd probably know her name. Otherwise they might have heard of her at some point, but if they did they probably didn't find it relevant enough to remember.
I cannot fault your skaven numerology. But I actually don't think we are the weakest in this scenario. Because the forces that we are talking about are 'locally available' forces.
Look at the expedition from an outside perspective. It has 6 landships bristling with cannons, a couple hundred demigryph knights, a couple hundred dwarves and a dragon (wizards aren't counted cause you can't see them from afar). Meanwhile the skaven may have a few thousand per Combe. But ready and provisioned to move out at a moment's notice. I doubt that's more than a few hundred up to a thousand. Probably armed with little which can both touch and keep up with the landships. Meanwhile, based solely on the fact that we beat Slannesh's forces and Tzeentch''s are at their best when they have time to plot (they dont) I think in terms of ready to go forces the ranking is
1. Chaos dwarves. They may be chaos but being overprepared is basically a dwarves racial trait
2. The expedition for aforementioned reasons
3. The demons. A greater demon is still a greater demon
4. The skaven
So unless we walk on top of a Combe and don't realise it, the skaven know that 4 is feed and probably will try and not draw attention to themselves
Is this like thief from the dark project that wears tap shoes for the challenge or something? Flipflops are super loud, that's the point of them.Have you seen Totalwar Grey Wizard? One word, flipflops. I am just glad Mathilde is sensible and wears boots.
Totalwar wizards are battle wizards so I belive this is not the case.Is this like thief from the dark project that wears tap shoes for the challenge or something? Flipflops are super loud, that's the point of them.
The correct answer is that she looks like Diana from Little Witch Academia so that I can use Akko/Diana fanart.I'm not great at questions like this because I don't really have a mental image of characters, I have a sort of cloud of traits and skills and foibles and goals with a nametag. I guess it'd boil down to something like: robes, boots when she's working or hiking, sandals when she's not, silver sickle in her belt, tanned arms and face, fit, about five foot even. Long hair that's tied back when she remembers to, a staff that takes root of its own accord so it's normally standing upright somewhere near her. A satchel on her side full of well-cushioned pockets for holding flasks and bottles that are usually full of soil and plant samples.
But if any of the above disagrees with anyone's mental image, feel free to keep your own.
