I'm not 100% sure just knowing about this realm is sufficient enough to provide benefits or bonuses.
Given the realm is explicitly the impossibly sharp edge of the pendulum battlemagic, creating a spell that forms a sword shaped aperture with which to cut seems like a better way of creating magical budget best sword than scaling from shadow knife/sword mastery.

We're 1/8th of the top eschelon of the Grey College now, so yes, I expect College Politics to become a larger factor for us now. It'll be an interesting new direction for things to go, along with our Boon from Belegar coming soon - it really does feel like a new chapter of Mathilde's life is coming up... assuming she survives hell to get to it.

'Rikki' is 'Lord'. Calling yourself that would be demanding that you be shown the same respect as a Runelord.
That's true. Other Grandmasters don't call themselves Lords after all, just Grandmasters amongst Runesmiths. (And even then, Runelords are probably even older and even more picky than other guild grandmaster standards are...) I guess just because you've made Lord Magister, doesn't mean it's at all a good idea to use a direct and literal translation.

You know, I feel like we may have dodged a bullet here. Back when she first started looking into Aetheric Vitae, Mathilde's original theory for the AV transformation was based in it happening where the separation between the real and the Aether was thin.

Well, now that we've learned the Grey College is literally located in that coin edge of reality, that calls into question what might have happened if Aetheric Vitae were to be brought inside it.

I figured that she was just talking about "self-sustaining and/or isolated demiplanes" in general. Like, that they were more common than Mathilde might have known or thought of.

Algard's Screaming Towers probably hide in such a pocket space of their own, otherwise people would also be trying to reach them via going through the Aethyr.

Would the Eye of Gazul qualify as a Dalokrulaz, even though we made it as a master? Would our staff?

No Dwarf Guild exists that could judge it.

would it be Dalmhornokrulaki for grandmaster shadow something?

Yes.

The title is nice and all, but what extra responsibilities does it come with?

None.

What role will we be fulfilling in the college hierarchy? We're not a department head, but still, a Lord Magistership cannot come without its own duties to the colleges.

It can and does. The Colleges work mostly on carrots, and reserve the stick for the 'don't do treason or touch the Bad Magic' sorts of things.

Also, to what extent is it an issue that we live outside the Empire?

It's not like you're selling your services in Sartosa. Mathilde is Representing and strengthening the oldest and most important alliance of the Empire.

Even for dwarves, only Runepriests get to lord level, right?

Right.

Oh cool! I'm assuming it would come under social actions if we're just spectating?

Probably.

That was amazing. I was in bed trying to sleep... now my high awake, grabbing something to eat with a beer. At 1 in the morning. Loved it.

Part of me kind if hopes this is a dream sequence, but unless we're already at the Chaos Wastes, it wouldn't make sense.

Wonder if the work would fall to us to style any new robe we upgrade to?

For other divine examples, I figure Hel Fenn and its brethren might have some sort of connection to their own realms at the bottom of their Fen/Swamp/Marsh.

As I recall, we did contribute with our windsight, to make absolutely sure it didn't explode into dhar while constructing/enchanting it.

Not all contributions must be magical. It was our fault that Kragg and Algard were in the same room. Thats our biggest contribution.

Can someone remind me why we are bothering to bring human Mooks with us to the Chaos Wastes?

IIRC, the air is full of warpstone dust, that when breathed in for any extended period settles inside the body and begins mutating it.

I see it as a sink or swim live fire training exercise. If they live they'll make Lord Magister for sure.
