Fine, I guess I will resurrect my meme posts in an attempt to drum up support for the new face that has the best chance of making it to top 4.
Dude got cut open (gut wound, usually kills -- it's what got Abelhelm), survived his wound, wanted to come back for more, and is still mad that they wouldn't let him, so he signed up for a historically-speaking-probably-doomed crusade into the World's Edge Mountains to get another shot at the battlefield. What a mad lad, as the kids say. I want to find out what he's up to and see him say more than, like, five words.
Oswald Oswaldson! He got medically discharged after surviving disembowelment, in a complete miscarriage of justice! Oswald Oswaldson! Proved the medical corps wrong by signing up to come fight in someone else's war! Oswald Oswaldson! Is owned by Karag Nar's #1 cat, busted down from Sergeant for being a LOOSE CANNON WHO GETS RESULTS! Oswald Oswaldson! Probably flirted with Mathilde once or twice but she didn't realize it! Oswald Oswaldson! One of the only people we know who would pull the stunt where we shot ourself in the hand to intimidate a prisoner -- hell, he'd do it without a Seed of Regrowth!

Oswald Oswaldson! Let us meet the man behind the memes!
From the little we know, he seems a lot like the human Kazador: good-natured, fighty, and incredibly extra.

(Also, he became the Chief Bombardier of the Undumgi and is now the Chancellor of the Karag Nar Gunnery School, so clearly he's been up to some interesting stuff offscreen.)

What would other results have been?
Speculating:
  1. Nothing or, worse, wrong stuff.
  2. What we got.
  3. I don't know.
  4. High Queekish.
  5. Multiple dialects, including his own.
  6. Something awesome?
I imagine/hope it'd be like;

1: Tentative acceptance, more actions required to get what we got fully.
2: As is.
3: As is but with the option to wear him down for more language with reduced difficulty.
4: An enemy dialect variant?
5: Moulder's dialect, congrats he's commited treason and is easier to work with.
6: Full on High Queekish as best as he's able, welcome to the blasphemy train! Time to jump on the Ranald Railway and convert so you're not instantly smote by the Horned Rat! TOOT TOOT!

Damn. Figures the good ones are already taken.
You know, if Ulric were to cease to be a god due to some unknown thief stealing enough of his divine essence, his priests would probably be absolved of their vows.

And if that doesn't work, well, if Wulfheart were to die from various circumstances and be brought back as an undead he would probably be excommunicated.

There are solutions to those problems is what I'm saying.

Having an inherent magical ability doesn't necessarily mean they're able to consciously shape magic.
... How much of an apprentice do you have to be to use the Liber Mortis?

Because it is well feared as one of the most effective ways to learn magic.

Currently our top 4 has nothing new, and that makes me sad. Come on, folks, let's at least meet some of the other important people in K8P!
How dare you suggest my babies are not important and very distinguished members of the Karak-We!

The public section has a little sign saying 'further books available to those with sufficient clearance', and the actual Skaven books are locked securely away. It's not really a problem currently since there's very few people actually visiting the library and all of them would have that clearance, but Mathilde is proactive about such matters.

I assume that penning a highly censored and reworded version similar to that copy of the Liber Mortis that Abelheim once gave us would cost an action? Not that I'm actually interested in doing that for this specific book.

[X] Elder Hluodwica, High Priestess of Esmerelda and civilian leader of the Eight Peaks Halflings.
[X] Sir Ruprecht Wulfhart, leader of the frontier town of Ulrikadrin.
[X] The We, to check on how they're settling in to the new arrangement.

[X] Barak Varr, to watch the progress of the canal.

...and only four can win, I know, but I'd be interested in any of these.

I urge people to consider Elder Welshname, we need more halflings to better use our new xenophile trait, and it would give us a chance to see a more mundane perspective (sure, she is a priestess, but she is also a halfling) on the recent events, Mathilde herself and Panoramia.
We really have not been keeping track of how the halflings are doing, I think it's time to fix that.

Many actions. It's not one book, it's an entire shelf, and it takes a thorough understanding to still have something useful left over once you extract everything sensitive.

The problem with the Liber Mortis is that it's so well condensed that even an abridged version is technically a cognitohazard, and if you've edited it enough to remove the temptation, you've also removed everything of value it has.

Hence why the extremely abridged edition which is safe enough to be 'Merely' classified just basically gives you an idea of what kind of nightmares the real book can throw out without giving you anything you can actually use.

What was actually in there? I assume a bit about Undead troop movement, logistics info only outlining the weak points and not how to cover for them, information about various types of undead foot soldiers and their drawbacks, and non-castable descriptions of the less tempting of necromantic attack spells.

[X] Soizic, military leader of the Undumgi.

Copies of even single chapters of the book could transform even the pettiest of necromancers into existential threats to Stirland. The idea of the unedited original in the hands of a Wizard would give the Grand Theogonist conniptions, and many in the Colleges would agree with him.

Even that goober who messed up making a zombie or some such crittee, back while we were doing vampire infiltration, would be a nightmare! :V

I think the roll is more on what happened to Qrech's loyalties in his extended, two year long isolation AND his degree of knowledge. So assuming this theory:
1 - He's believes we're mistaken about our statement that the College already has Spoken Queekish, and maintains his loyalties. We get nothing.
2 - He gives us the only part of the spoken language we could plausibly have access to and which an ignorant outsider may have believed to be the full language. Low Queekish. His loyalties remain secure.
3 - He believes the Colleges already have access to Queekish proper, and will teach us Low Queekish. He may have picked up one of the other clan tongues and is willing to teach them, because fuck Eshin/Skryre/Mors.
4 - His loyalties have been shaken over his long imprisonment, and is willing to teach Moulder-Queekish.
5 - As 4, but he also knows other clan tongues.
6 - Isolation from the reinforcing snakepit of Skaven culture has weakened his loyalties, he is wiling to betray the Underempire or his god for the right incentives.

At least, thats my eyeballin based on past d6s.

So Wolf is confirmed to be able to manipulate magic, and can pick it up super fast because he's drawing on Mathilde's knowledge. How long would it take for him to learn to safely cast useful spells in his day to day life? Teaching him Mathilde's toolless enchanting suite might immediately address his lack of hands as well as making him the best lab assistant ever.
